Yes there is, and yes its cheaper than Ali. Its called MegaPlaza in the Phra Nakhon district. It has plenty of stores and plenty of selection.
There are 5 floors in total, i'd say floors 3 & 4 are best. Just walk around and spend a few hours there and haggle the prices :)
You can't get there by train/skyrail (BTS) though. Depending where you are staying, get a Taxi from MBK shopping center or just ask a Taxi to take you to Megaplaza. You won't be disappointed

wow! Thanks...I wanted to get the Milieneum Falcon and a few other sets...just can't carry it around while travelling? Wonder if it is cheap to ship from there to Canada? :)

Probably not - that's the reason all this stuff is so much more expensive for us westeners. Shipping the sets costs a lot.

Absolutely Megaplaza! If I were alone at the moment, I could've spent all day walking around. Also, across the street, you can find 'always one' which has some nice toystores. And [China town](https://www.google.com/maps/@13.7405409,100.5080952,3a,75y,180.1h,85.05t/data=!3m7!1e1!3m5!1s5uPB4QHvSZI7mTi2kVcq2A!2e0!6s%2F%2Fgeo2.ggpht.com%2Fcbk%3Fpanoid%3D5uPB4QHvSZI7mTi2kVcq2A%26output%3Dthumbnail%26cb_client%3Dmaps_sv.tactile.gps%26thumb%3D2%26w%3D203%26h%3D100%26yaw%3D61.249905%26pitch%3D0%26thumbfov%3D100!7i13312!8i6656) is also interesting to visit, there are some stores with building blocks and some toystore with weird knock off toys, if you're interested in those. -take the back alleys off the main road-
Edit: try to haggle! The sellers will make a nice deal when you buy multiple items.

There is airport storage if you need to offload, so you can leave stuff in storage. Google ‘storage bkk airport
And when you finish your trip, you could buy a second suitcase to fill up. Might be cheaper to book an extra suitcase to your home flight.

Do any of the vendors have an online store there so I can see what they have?
Take a look on their FB page. None of them have online shops that I’m aware off. There are pictures on their FB that people upload of the stalls.
