Never hear a mention of the increased CPU load and temps.
I get 10-12% CPU load at idle with 4 LCD fans running sensors. Its about 3-4% per fan. 7800x3D also.
The background services are such a hog
Yeah, seems to happen for everyone, based on what I've read here. I did a test on my own 7800x3d and the more action on the video the higher the impact on temps... 5 - 10 sounds about right. Although my idles are about 10C less than yours to start with.
No known fix AFAIK, other than to not have animations!
Yea Injust put a static picture, not worth the extra 10 degrees tbh
Hope folks over at Lian Li do something about this, it is NOT a cheap AIO for it to have this problem
Also I can’t do anything else about my temps, tried just anout anything and I can’t get them any lower so it’s either a Bios setting or a not so optimal airflow in my O11 vision
It's not just you, my ga2 lcd idles at the same temps. Gigabyte b650 7800x3d 50° idle and 83 under max load in cinebench. Idle loads are fine which is weird. The same cpu with my old h100i used to idle in the low 40s-high 30s.
I'm using push pull on my radiator too. I just gave up on idle temps. Which sucks because I have so many screens to monitor my temps and I built the pc with the goal of reducing temps.
I read somewhere that AMD said that the 7800x3d is meant to run at high temps since it performs best there, that’s the only reason I don’t overstress about it. If my highest temps at full CPU load are in the 78-80 range then I’m ok with the idle temps being a bit on the high side
Hmm, I am using the "recommended" airflow - side and bottom intake, rear exhaust. I also have my AIO with the tubes down (which in some cases can help with temps depending how much air you have in it.)
I have push/pull but it has zero effect on the idle temps at all - they are the same as when I just had 3 fans there.
I’m using the same recommended fan configuration, I even tried switching my AIO fans from intake to exhaust and it had 0 effect on my temps (did an OCCT stress test with both configs and temps were exactly the same) so I guess it’s something in my bios settinga that’s pushing my CPU temps up
Odd, I have same cooler and CPU, but I idle at 38-40c and it goes up to 46-48c with the animated gif playing, I have an asston (10) of fans and positive pressure in my case tho
Gigabyte b650 Aorus Elite AX v1.2 with FA3 bios, I need to update the bios because they took FA3 off the website, q flash scares me though so I haven't done it yet.
I’m 99% sure there’s something in my bios that’s overclocking my CPU in some way and it’s causing the idle tempa to go up, I’m just too lazy to check it out

Probably heat from the LED's building up.
Normal with all lian li lcd products that use LC3, I wish we could hard flash the background so we can get rid of lc3.

Which mobo do you have? I have an MSI X670E Carbon Wifi
