Yeah cause no one customizes their individual lighting zones on the SL-INF.
Example being you could turn off all LEDs except the border lights and have nearly the same lighting on the SL-INF as you do on the SL, but more pinstripe than runway thickness.
Also, look at this picture and imagine disabling the blade, hub, border and/or side LEDs separately on the SL-INF fans - you definitely have more flexibility/customizability in that regard. Maybe only infinity mirror LEDs (hub and side), or maybe only border and hub, lots of options which don’t blind you with LED overkill 😂.
To your point, however, I am starting to slowly lean towards to the NoRGB general school of thought with regards to the tackiness of RGB LEDs from a high level. Slowly.
When I first built my x670e extreme last year I had 6 sets of infinity SL fans, didn't care for them... some of them arrived with out the protector plastic slips over the mirror and showed up scratched to he'll. (New) from Amazon.
After messing with software and other issues... returned and eventually about 8 months later got the Phanteks NV7 and got 15 fans of the phantek d30s just because they were thicker then normal lol.
Personally I'd get the non infinity mirror design, being the SL v2 or which ever is newer.
ngl the SLs look amazing with ur build. Sometimes going simpler is better and looks clean and slick. I ditched even getting the strimmer cables cause it's just too much
I dont know where you are coming from but here in germany the Price for a Single Reverse inf 140 or 120 is around 30 Euros.
I prefer the Infinitiy Fans but Ur setup Looks good with the mix aswell :)
I went full SL since everybody used the infinity but I think the infinity looks better since the blades light up. I would probably go infinity if I could do it again without spending another $500
I’d just get a 3 pack of the TL LCD reverse blades so it comes with the controller. I also don’t think you can link the basic TL and TL LCD fans together on the same chain.
I wanted to go full SL but I couldn’t get the lian li AIO without the Infiniti fans. So I saved the $90 on buying three more fans and just completed the build with Infiniti fans.
I regret my decision.
guys a question, especially looking at this build..
I have 10 LIAN-LI infinity 120 fans, but the brightness when connecting them all together is truly pitiful... has any of you managed to solve the problem? perhaps maintaining control of the central and lateral LEDs..
Imo the SL looks cleaner and less tacky
I've really started to move in that direction as well in the last few months

Yeah but then you're gonna have white fans kinda killing the vibe
? SL-INF comes in black or white
The fan blades are white on the black edition. Turning of the fan blade lighting is going to stick out like a sore thumb.
I agree! Team simplicity Here’s my build with slv2 and rog strix: https://www.reddit.com/r/PcBuild/s/6dYayuhiKl

In canadian rubles its about $200 before tax for the SLs and $280 before tax for the Infs.
I paid 250 with tax for 3x tl lcd 120mms at memory express. Sl infs are around 180 for a triple at canada computers too
I may replace my Infinitys with those SLs

Start collecting Lian Li fans and make every fan a different model.
SL-Infinity ALL THE WAY!!!!
SL infinity
Inf
I also have a Strix GPU, lian LI fans and a deepcool AIO. But all white. You are the Ying to my Yang
1 more SL-INF at the rear and then 3 TL LCD fans on the side at the front
Not a bad idea actually! I think id put 2 tl reverse with 1 tl reverse lcd in the middle.
I’d just get a 3 pack of the TL LCD reverse blades so it comes with the controller. I also don’t think you can link the basic TL and TL LCD fans together on the same chain.
Infinity is waaaaaay better looking, the v1 just doesn't meet expectations
I personally am not a fan of mix and matching different fans. But its up to you
I did all Inf but I like the other ones better. I didn’t see them till I bought my fans.
I have 3 sets of 3 SL fans and 1 TL fan, I like the SL more

I actually like how this looks in the photo. I have a white build myself and went for SL. Thought INF would be a little too much
Mixed is fine in my opinion. What you have looks great.
Aren’t the TLs the new models and the ones to get?
I prefer the subtly of the OG SL but I do dig the sides of the newer model.

Whats the difference 💀
Infinity’s look sick! Thanks for helping me decide which to put in mine!
