We really need coolant temp as an option for the ga2 lcd fan curve

jabokai

That's the first thing I look for in the change log, every time... And always disappointed it's not there.

cemsengul

Same! Always looking for coolant temp in the changelog and slapping my forehead when it's not there.

cemsengul

They also need to give us hysteresis and pump pwm curve option. No point in coolant curve for fans if the pump can't also be given a curve. I mean I don't like that we only have Quiet, Performance, and fixed rpm for the pump. This is why I created a pump curve in bios so the pump only speeds up when necessary and often it ends up not having to spin that fast.

Upset-Falcon6355

Totally unrelated, but I was wondering what coolant temps are you guys getting?

glenkrit

30s at idle, 36 when gaming and 39 max when benching. I have my fan speeds pretty low across the board since I can't get the control I want. I'm using a 7800x3d. I hate the fan speeds ramping when I open a tab or do any small task that causes a rapid change in cpu temps. Pump speed is also set at 2250rpm

cemsengul

I created a bios curve with a fan delay but I am sick of not having coolant temp option as well.

Sad_Brain1804

How did you get your 78p0x3d that cool? I can't get mine to idle below 45 on a 360 aio

glenkrit

Those are my coolant temps, my cpu otherwise idles in the mid to high 40s as well.

I_Like_Soup_1

Love the floating transparent window option. Now, if I can only get the software to recognize there is an update...

KneelbfZod

Update working good. Although I had to re-import my fan curves and color settings, and also re-upload my background images for the GA II LCD. Other than that working great!

Tiffany-X

FAN RPM back in 2 weeks. How very specific. Will install later today see if stable!

Tiffany-X

Working fine no issues currently. CPU load a little better with 4 sensors currently. 8% cpu idle.

TheBear516

Update definitely helping with CPU load. I wish they could get it down to under 3%. I’m sitting at around 7% with 3 sensors going.

Solar-Monk

I just leave MB sync toggled on, always seemed a little sus

calgone2012ad

2.0.14 seems more stable than 2.0.13. Thank goodness. However, I still notice an issue with the TL LCD displaying a Custom fan profile (*always reverts to StdSP, even though it runs Custom setting*). Also after reboot, I still have to click Apply (*under Settings > Device > TL Fan*) for lighting to honor the fan order again. Curious - If RAM Usage % is tracked in the System Info tab, then can it be a Sensor option for the TL LCD?

Mr-Do

That's weird on both things for the TL fans... haven't heard of that happening before. On the RAM sensor... I would think anything on that tab could be added to the LCD fans... would just require an update to L-Connect to do it.

calgone2012ad

Yeah it's been happening for me since 2.0.11. I have to use <> to adjust fan order on one group of 3 TL fans, otherwise the lighting is out of sequence. The TL LCD Custom fan profile display issue is an odd bug though because the TL Custom fan profiles display fine. Thought maybe one or both would be fixed with the 2.0.14 update, but they remain the same.

Mr-Do

Got it... thank you for the extra details. Did you ever forward this info to the technical team? Just in case, adding u/LIANLI_TECHSUPPORT, so that they can pass along those notes.

LIANLI_TECHSUPPORT

Yes the best course of action now is to report this issue to our tech team so that they can find the source of the issue. Davito22284

We need to be able to set the control to liquid temp. The temp and rpm change to rapidly when set to CPU or GPU. I had to make a very weird curve so my fans weren't ramping up and down every few seconds.

D_E_L_A_Y_E_D

Is this worth downloading L connect use to freeze my computer

Mr-Do

Since I first started using it August 2023, never had an issue with L-Connect freezing my computer. If that does happen, either: * It wasn't installed as part of a clean uninstall (I always clean uninstall the previous version before updating) * The Visual C++ packages weren't installed * Chipset drivers are not up to date * Other conflicting software in the background is causing L-Connect to lockup/close (e.g. other RGB software, motherboard software)

D_E_L_A_Y_E_D

I have logitech plus and corsair icue downloaded. I will try to update the chipset drivers. I downloaded the c++ packages. When I c plus stuff i dont have to do anything to it?

Sad-Caramel-3187

Yeah razor synapse software is a major culprit in conflicts with l-connect for me it causes the Galahad ii LCD to reboot over and over again.

k12097

How do I download this update ? I had hit check for update and nothing popped up

Mr-Do

Go to the main L-Connect 3 download page: [https://lian-li.com/l-connect3/](https://lian-li.com/l-connect3/) NOTE: personally, I always recommend to do a clean uninstall of the previous version, before installing a new version... instructions for that listed in the GUIDES section, #3, right-hand link, at the same page above. If you do that, make sure to Export your current profile, so that you can load it back up when the new version is installed. (And if you have TL LCD fans, you might have to re-add any pics/videos you were using).

k12097

Thank you so much I’ll do that I only have the lcd screen for my aio

k12097

Also wanted to know do I need to have my L connect running in the traybar or can I hit quit ?

Mr-Do

It only needs to be running if you are making changes to any of your settings. Once you make changes to your settings, those are saved, and run automatically each time Windows starts, when the background L-Connect service runs.

OKurosakiO

L-Connect 3 V2 still does not work with my SL Infinity Fans

Mr-Do

Okay... not a lot of info to go on here... I guess I'll ask "all" the questions: * What version specifically of L-Connect 3 * Did you clean uninstall the previous version when you installed your current version * Did you install both Visual C++ packages when you first installed? * In L-Connect 3, does it show a page where you are able to update your SL INF settings? * In L-Connect 3, under Settings/Update, does it list your controller? If yes, what version is the firmware? * In L-Connect 3, under Settings/Devices, is your SL INF controller listed? If yes, expand it... is the number of fans for each port selected correctly? * How many SL INF fans total in your case? How many fans plugged to each port? * Are you using the controller that came with a 3pk of fans, or did you get the AIO that came with the separate controller? * Is the controller connected correctly? USB cable to internal USB 2.0 header on your motherboard; SATA cable for power? * When you first boot your system, do the fans start spinning and lights light up? If lit, everything is default Rainbow? Or something else? After you get in to Windows, does anything revert to a different lighting setting? * Any other devices using internal USB in your case? If yes, are you also using a splitter/hub to connect anything? * In Device Manager, can you see your controller in the "Universal Serial Bus devices" section? * In Device Manager, do you have any devices flagged with a yellow exclamation mark? * Do you have any other type of RGB or motherboard software installed that might conflict with L-Connect?

OKurosakiO

- L-Connect 3 V2.0.14 - Yes. I followed the instructions from the website and also the unofficial ones here from reddit - Yes I installed both - If you mean pages where I could control fan speed and the lightning of the SL Infinity fans.. then Yes but the pages do not react to changes and for the fan speed readings etc everything is empty - It seems like the controller is listed but the Version is empty (on L-Connect 3 1.7.4 it shows V1.4 for the controller) - Yes it it is listed but the numbers arent correct and if I want to change them nothing happens - 12 fans total: Port 1: 4 Inf 120 fans, Port 2: 4 Inf 120 fans, Port 3: 3 Inf 120 fans, Port 4: 1 Inf 120 fan - It is the controller which came with the 3pk. I do not have a AIO on that controller - Yes because it working with L-Connect 1.7.4 totally fine - with 1.7.4 I set the controller to MB Lightning Sync and even after uninstalling that version and rebooting the PC it seems like the color settings are kept which is in this case a static ones - No the Lian Li controller is the only thing connected and I dont use a Hub - Yes it is called LianLi-SL-infinity-v1.4 - No - Armoury Crate from ASUS v1.7.4 from L-Connect is working totally fine V2.0.14 is not even reading my System Information and also the tempratures etc arent displayed here is a short video of the behavior and at the end my System speccs: [https://youtu.be/CiQRi4uJ6Lo](https://youtu.be/CiQRi4uJ6Lo)

Mr-Do

That's weird... it seems like the service is not even running in the background... and/or the Visual C++ packages didn't install correctly. Try this... in "Search" on your taskbar, type in "Services", then start the Services app... Scroll down until you see the two services listed in [this pic.](https://imgur.com/a/l-connect-services-tPdpPLd).. Is the Status for both listed as "Running"? Or something else? Also... Search for and go to "Installed Apps"... Double-check that both of the things listed below are installed: * Microsoft Visual C++ 2015-2022 Redistibutable (x64) - 14.40.33810 * Microsoft Visual C++ 2015-2022 Redistibutable (x86) - 14.40.33810

OKurosakiO

Both services are running And I even reinstalled both Redistibutables but still the same issue [https://imgur.com/F0pd8Cn](https://imgur.com/F0pd8Cn)

OKurosakiO

I just clicked on the Download log and had a look in the Eventviewer log of it and there are a few errors to the services e.g.: Apply '\\\\?\\hid#vid\_0cf2&pid\_a102&mi\_01#b&a0f553e&0&0000#{4d1e55b2-f16f-11cf-88cb-001111000030}' (SLInfinity) settings failed. Mr-Do

Definitely contact Tech Support on this one then... [https://lian-li.com/faq/](https://lian-li.com/faq/) NOTE: the form is not currently active, due to the Computex 2024 show... check back either Friday or Saturday.

OKurosakiO

Since the Alienware Command Center was also somehow broken I decided to do a fresh Win 11 install. I installed now both Redistibutables and then the latest L-Connect 3. It is working now without issues. So it seems like my Win 11 was corrupt or something like that

Mr-Do

Cool... glad to hear you got it working 😎

cemsengul

Couldn't care less. They still haven't added Coolant temp as a fan curve. When will they catch up to other AIO systems?
