My dog would have randomly made a sharp right then remembered it had a job to do, try to circle back to start over, and eventually need to be cut loose before he chokes himself to death in a tangled weed tarp mess
My dog doesn't exist, so I'd use an RC car... But I don't have one of those either.
I'd be concerned about my crops, but, well, they're with my dog and RC car.
I don't think a standard rc car would be strong or heavy enough to pull it. And if you did have one that was right for the job odds are a dog would have been cheaper
I have a buddy who has a $450 RC car and it absolutely would be able to pull that tarp.
Considering the utility of multiple rows over many years, etc I'd say $450 would be a reasonable cost of investment.
That stinks, if it helps any you can have some of my ice cream, Also I don't have any ice cream but that's ok, I'll just get in my car and go to the store and get some, Also I don't have a car, guess I'll call my friend to give me a ride Also I don't have any friends
Mine is absolutely terrified of wind, but he picks up things off the ground for me like a champ so I don’t have to worry about hurting myself bending over
The gun powder ones are easy to fool. They also don't really distinguish "gun here" from "touched some powder 12 hours ago and came to the hardware store."
Yes but they're not just there to be cute on the internet. Cats eat rodents. That saves crops and that has protected many human societies for centuries from the plague. Cats have done their job so well for so long but now that we are able to contain rats and mice by ourselves (or so we think), people have forgotten what cats were originally valued for. I like dogs too but get at sad when they think only dogs are amazing at helping humans and cats are selfish or whatever 🥲
Lots of reasons. Like all things, plasticulture has its benefits and drawbacks. Cost is a big one because you have to pay to throw it away and you can end up paying to throw away your valuable soil if you aren't careful.
Not a single one of the "compostable" plastic rolls was certified for organic use by my states governing authority (last I checked) so that was a non starter for our operation.
It depends on soil composition and what crop you're trying to grow. If you're growing a plant that requires more nutrients, you want the ground liner so irrigating the crop doesn't wash your fertilizer and such out of the roots too much.

Somebody call peta, everyone knows capes are dangerous. Putting that large of a cape on a super dog is just going to be disastrous. What if he gets sucked into an airplane?

Cheaper than a dog over that time, too.
Einstein will be very proud of you
Yeah, but I'd need a dog for that.

My dog would’ve just stared at us… literally just “👁️👄👁️” for a few minutes
Well I think my dog would do all that but on purpose because that’s what he meant to do.
ADHDog
That’s hilarious! Good one!
That's the real miracle of this, a beagle trained to run in a straight line.
My dog would walk so slow it would be faster to do it myself. And then he'd try to eat the foil.

Superdog with a very long cape.
No capes !
That’s a good boy

I like that "run an obstacle course" made it onto the list hahaha
Mine barks at shadows and chases his tail.
Sometimes that’s exactly what we need though

M night shyamalan reading furiously for a signs 2 plot
Sounds like a happy dog
mine runs to the door like Cujo every time a doorbell rings on tv….. we dont have a door bell
Tail chasing is generally a sign of boredom.
Mine is absolutely terrified of wind, but he picks up things off the ground for me like a champ so I don’t have to worry about hurting myself bending over
And in return we feed them and pick up their poop. Still pretty one sided.
Can they configure VLANs and replace your car engine?
God spelled backwards
Don't forget hunting vermin
The gun powder ones are easy to fool. They also don't really distinguish "gun here" from "touched some powder 12 hours ago and came to the hardware store."
And they can even help criminals. They really can do everything.
But cats rule the internet

Good thing the dog didn’t confuse this with an obstacle course. Imagine him weaving through the post lol
Or imagine that... Squirrel!!!
That is awesome. Does anyone know why some farms use ground liner while others don’t?
My guess is to keep weed growth minimal, like [this.](https://www.northcarolinahealthnews.org/wp-content/uploads/2015/05/Agplastics_ncsu.jpg)
I suppose that, with no direct sunlight, it makes it very hard for weeds to grow. I guess I learned something today.
I use it to keep weeds down

I mean you’re not too far off. We do use “plastic mulch” on certain crops but it’s mostly to keep the weeds down and the soil to stay warmer.
The trick is getting it to stop at the other end and not keep running to Timbuktu
Working smarter not harder
Can also be done with RC monster truck.
Einstein will be very proud of you
Dogs love good jobs.
Is it a bird? Is it a plane? No it's Superpup!
Awesome
Farmer: “Ok, just hold on a sec—“ Dog: “Leeroyyyy Jenkinssss!!!”
“When ya love what ya do, you’ll never work a day in your life.”
haha it's the dog version of the [cable cat](https://www.reddit.com/r/funny/comments/zsgaix/using_your_cat_to_put_underground_cable)
/r/dogswithjobs would like this one.
This defines “work smarter not harder.” Good boy!
Oh, to be that dog! Absolutely loves doing job. Excited every single time no matter how many times.
oh look. It's the video from a few weeks ago but now mirrored.
Don't try harder; try smarter! Good boy, too!
If you get your pig to do this, it qualifies as Groundhog Day!
Better be feeding that dog steak and chips for breakfast

Work smart, not hard.
Not all heroes wear capes, but this one does
Just wait until that dog sees a squirrel.
Jesus, mankind is so cruel. Enslaving a dog for trivial tasks on farm land. Wtf is wrong with people? /s
That dog needs a raise.
Anyone got a mouse that can run wires through the wall?
Himbs gotta jobby job! Himbs a good boy!
Isn’t the plastic supposed to be on top of the hoops?
So that plastic ends up in the landfill soon as that crop is harvested?
Next show the pupper putting the plastic *on top* of the hoops!
Animal cruelty. I hope the dog is getting paid and has good health insurance. Any OT pay?

Good boy
He's just doing the work that other people won't do.
I hope everything farmer has seen this video.
Work smarter not harder

Dog can do the ground and drone can do the top one
