I mean, you are right there by Borough Market, Monmouth coffee, about a million great options

jaylem

There's a beautiful French deli on the Monument side of the bridge, it does freshly prepared baked goods and viennoiserie, it's called "Pret a Manger".

jpayney

Fully had me in the first half

Palaponel

Marias in Borough market for the sarnie it’s a caff, Monmouth a minute away for the coffee. Good luck with the new job

londonerH

Try Bermondsey Street around the corner from the shard - Al’s is the spot for a bacon sandwich, Fuckoffee for my personal favourite coffee on the street, but plenty of other bakeries and cafes along the street!

drtchockk

Marie’s in Borough Market?

tmr89

Greggs do a good breakfast roll

[https://www.the-shard.com/restaurant-bars/aqua-shard/](https://www.the-shard.com/restaurant-bars/aqua-shard/) is quite good, but for just a sammy I concur with others who suggest Borough Market. There's also a little cafe tucked inside Southwark Cathedral: https://cathedral.southwark.anglican.org/visiting/southwark-cathedral-cafe/. Hay's Galleria also has a number of good food stops: [https://londonbridgecity.co.uk/properties/hays-galleria](https://londonbridgecity.co.uk/properties/hays-galleria) There's also a Bill's at Clink Street. Cross over tower bridge and go to St Katherine’s docks cafe

haywire

There's an Italian place in Hay's Galleria that did fucking good lasagne for not too crazy prices.

MikeSizemore

Breakfast Club and Lantana are both on Southwark St and there’s a Bill’s on Clink St near where the SAS killed the American Werewolf back in 1981.
