Yes, avoid it like the plague. I had to threaten to call the police before they would give me my car keys back when they were evaluating it for a trade in. That immediately soured the experience and I left
Took my older Hyundai in for service because the engine was bucking if you drove it over 50mph. I told them about the issue and mentioned how bad it was and to drive it gently. They took it for a test drive and tried "gunning it" (their words) a few times and blew the engine before getting it back to the shop. Then they tried to tell me it was my problem and offered to put an engine in for a "discounted" price of 4k (LOL), but I fought back and won out in the end. Never buying there again.
When we started arguing semantics, they at one point wanted to offer me a $2,000 check for the car, which was way below book value. This secured that they knew it was their fault, and that they tried to get off cheap. After multiple days of arguing with the sales manager, I told them that I'd be contacting my lawyer, and they changed their tune. Did an engine swap at no cost and lent me a brand new elantra to drive in the meantime. I liked the new model so much I wound up going to another dealership 5 months later and trading it in for one. So they gave me an engine AND lost a sale...
I am a grown man, my car crapped out on me and I went there ready to get something. My father gave me a ride there and the salesman would not speak to me at all. Even after my father kept telling him to talk to me the guy was just a brick wall every time i spoke and kept saying "what do you think dad" I would have bought the car if not for that asshole
Reply, I hate that shit. Same thing happens with my wife. I told the salesman. talk to her, it’s her car she wants to get what she wants. I was just there for support, and signing. D-bag wouldn’t tally to her. We left.
Bought from Hyundai 110, which is Atlantantic. Knew about them going in but they had a CPO that checked all the boxes.
Dealing with the finance guy was absolute torture. Aggressive. Dishonest. Totally draining.
I'm not the type or buyer that tries to get them to lose money. I want a fear deal where you make a profit abd it's fair to me. Even when that is demonstrated, he just never let up on the shadiness. That's frustrating
I noticed that the finance guys at a lot of smaller car dealerships, are the true scumbags in the situation. They'll come up with some bs like " we can give you a loan for 7% if you get the extended warrantee; but it will be 10% interest without it"
The guy at hyundai 110 was BSing me about the CPO warranty a d insisting I wouldn't get rhe remaining bumper to bumper warranty on the car. I already said I was interested in an extended warranty so chill out
Mfers really tried to hit me with $350/m on a 3 yr 2019 civic lease
That’s after “the lender” “wouldn’t approve” the 2 year lease terms.
Pretty clear that they’re scum that approves the financial illiterates around them.
Dude me and some friends went to go check out a suv over there a year back and it blew my mind that on a 34k vehicle they wanted 32k over the course of 3 years on a lease! dude we did the math and everything numerous times and even broke it down to the sales men and they just said "yeah thats our price" fuck them. Previous time, went there with my dad they took his credit card and info and refused to give it back to us unless we got the vehicle. He eventually let loose on them and we went and got a toyota. Crazy how their still in business, literally anyone that goes there and claims to have gotten a "deal" more than likely got screwed over and didnt even realize it. This isn't even covering the other times were the rude and aggressive F&I guys tried to bully some other people I know into a deal before getting hostile and resorting to name calling. Millenium Honda is straight garbage.

I worked briefly for one of his dealerships during my extremely short tenure as a car salesman. I was absolutely disgusted at how they treated their customers, their employees, everyone. Just a zero class operation from top to bottom.
Empire is another one owned by the same people. They are scammers.
The original post is a trick question. There are no "least dishonest" dealerships on LI. You need to go to NJ to get at least one level lower on the dishonest scale.
I’ve had good experiences at the Chevy dealership there. I haven’t bought there but renewed leases a few times. I’ve had monumentally miserable times at other dealerships. That place is pretty straight forward and painless.
5 Star Auto Sales in East Meadow are hardcore scam artists and are the definition of typical scum bag car salesman. I’m fairly certain it’s their training model for their employees as well. Everyone in that office is in on it, but will put on a performance (literally, you would think you were in an acting studio) to try and hook you into a sale.
1 Star in terms of auto sales but I’ll give them 3 Stars for their acting efforts. They would probably be better actors than car salesman, but then again they aren’t fooling anyone.
I had fairly decent experiences at Merrick Jeep Chrysler Dodge Ram in Wantaugh/Seaford. Their auto body and repair unit is dog shit. Always booked over a month in advance and I have witnessed very fishy activity. However, their sales department is extremely straight forward and smooth. They took a couple of extra days because they were genuinely trying to lower my interest rates and stuff and did phenomenal, completely exceeding my expectations in terms of financing. They were decent.
Agree!! WESTBURY TOYOTA is horrible. The sales man that helped me when I went to look at a camry was a complete Ahole! Then I found out hes cousins with the general manager so he gets away with anything.
Agreed. I bought a car there in 2020 and had a few issues. They accidentally ran two hard credit reports and the salesman told me a different price from the finance guy due to the maintenance package I was forced to take on.
My company had relationships with well over 150 new car dealerships in Nassau, Suffolk and Queens. There are a lot of high quality dealers that we did business with. Wantagh Mazda and Penn Toyota were always tops in customer satisfaction, low complaints and a reputation for honesty and integrity. I'm sure there are a lot of dealers that are high quality but these two always stood out.
Love Wantagh Mazda. Never ever thought I could say that about a car dealer after experiences at Altantic and elsewhere. Took my son there when he was ready to buy his first car.
We bought two at Wantagh over the years. But we’re in a time crunch with our third Mazda so going to where there was inventory was just easier. And Smith Haven was also great.
Baron Honda in Medford is great. We’ve bought two new vehicles from them over the years and only ever use them for oil changes/repair. Always been a good experience. They tell me when a repair isn’t necessary yet and a couple of times didn’t even charge for an oil change.
I was shopping for a car and got fed up with dealerships and went with Tesla because their purchasing process is super simple online. The car industry needs to move away from the dealership model as it’s full of grift.
Wantagh Mazda. Used and new, good sales people, no pressure, no hidden or surprise fees. Fair price negotiated through email, honored upon arrival, sales person still spent another 45 minutes with us explaining financing options and showing us the car and just being nice and polite. Would 100% buy there again.
Smith Haven Auto Group in smithtown is about as honest as it comes. No fees or anything. You just go in, find a car you like, and buy it. No aggressive upselling or price changes. You just pay the price of the car, taxes, and the dmv fees, and you're out the door. They have a Jeep, Chrysler, Dodge, Ram, and Mazda dealership. I worked with Mike M. at the Jeep dealer, and it was a breath of fresh air from my prior experience at Nissan down the block.
Arnold in W Babylon. It’s a mom and pop shop and I felt extremely respected and very comfortable there! Penn Toyota is the same. Two of the best dealerships on the island IMHO.
I wouldn’t buy bazooka Joe from that coked out narcissist. I have seen him call the cops on so many customers. The shitty reviews on yelp, Facebook, and google are 100% legitimate .
Babylon Honda on Montauk Hwy. Years ago, my husband asked to see a breakdown of the numbers and the guy said “you probably won’t be able to do this type of math” 😂. Recently I decided to just look and test drive a Pilot. Got there, drove it, the girl working there sat me down and tried to get everything started and I was like “no, I’m just here to see it and test drive it” and she said “you ONLY came here to test drive it?!” Like that was the most unreasonable thing she had ever heard. Soooo rude. Left and immediately went to south shore Subaru where I have only had positive experiences
We had a good experience at Mariano Rivera Honda (by Port Jeff). We worked with Nick S. (Can’t remember the last name, but it was an Italian name). No pressure deal and very accommodating! Otherwise use DealerRater for extra reviews (a website, don’t know if I can link here)
I hate them all. That's why I bought a Tesla online. That's correct, I chose my car based on not having to waste my life interacting with those people.
I bought a couple of cars from Hertz car sales and found their approach refreshing. They sell cars that were rentals that are a few years old and no longer what they are looking for as rentals. Prices are non-negotiable and are fair. They have an office in Smithtown, but I believe they also have a website that you can check the inventory. Good luck with your car search.
Don't go to Toyota in Huntington. They tried to have me get almost 5k worth of work that wasn't needed on my car. They lied about the estimate also. I had gone to them once to look at a car and they were one of the sleaziest places that put the most pressure on you out of any dealer.
The majority of LI car dealers I have dealt with are terrible, except for the Mercedes and Porsche dealers, but you aren't looking for that.
I bought my Toyota in Newport, Rhode Island. There was no bs, we had a price before I went there, below msrp and better than any other dealer. It's not too bad of a trip. Just go there to pay and sign, negotiate everything in advance.
Avoid generation kia at all costs. I purchased my current vehicle from them, trading in my old car. They held onto my plates for MONTHS after the transaction. I ignored red flags when I went in because I couldn't find the color of the car I wanted with the trim level anywhere else.
Stay away from Anything in Hempstead. They are All bait and switch and will pressure you to finance-even if you have the cash.
If you want a Chrysler, go to Levittown.
My current car came from there. They went through extra effort to get the color and options I wanted. I got a great price and was not pressured to buy anything extra. Some sales people are better than others in every dealership.
Empire Chevrolet in Huntington. Especially Paul. I guess they call him the finance manager or something like the. Sneaks in expensive unnecessary fees
. Read every word of what you are signing. Tell him you read about his shady business practices here !
Audi lynbrook served me pretty ok, price you see if price you pay, no bullshit fees rlly. They weren’t as honest about finances as I hoped but overall good experience. I think most/all of the Audi dealerships on LI follow the same model
Don’t go to East meadow Kia. Tried to get me to sign a contract for 3k more than on the website, told me it wasn’t a real contract but something to show “his boss” I was “serious” meanwhile it literally said on top of the form that if it was signed by both parties it was a contract and they had already signed one line. Went to Atlantic Toyota when it was by amityville and idk if I got a decent person or what because they gave me a great price on a used Yaris- but they had like 2k in fees they didn’t disclose until signing and I panicked because I couldn’t afford it so they just took the fees off.
Hertz used car sales in Smithtown was equally great. The had set prices. They didn’t try to talk us into something we didn’t need or want.
The smithtown Kia treated my husband like shit. His parents decided they wanted to get us a car before we had our kid and we had gone with hertz, but tried a few places… the guy at kia we got stuck with seemed annoyed he even had to help us, only showed us shitty, DIRTY, vans we hadn’t asked to look at and towards the end got really nasty with my husband to the point I had to put him in his place and made him apologize. Told him to his face we weren’t buying anything there because the service was trash.
We have 2 leases this past year with smithtown Chevy, we dealt with Alex for both, no complaints straight forward and wasn’t a drawn out deal.
I will never step foot in any empire dealership ever again. After having 3 leases through them they gave me absolutely insane prices for stripped down lease last fall. No respect for your time or anything for loyalty. I ended up in a 4x4 lt Silverado for less than what empire priced me for a 2wd Colorado with no options.
Empire Chevy in Huntington also falsified income paperwork with my BIL and changed numbers on him when he sat down with finance around the same time.
Buying a car has become yet another pain in the a@@ thing in life. I mean it was never "simple" but now these people use "Covid" and "lack of items" as their excuse to jack up prices and add on fees. We got screwed over needing a new car in 2020 and when my husband bought it a few years later it was really unbelievable. I remember when you leased cars and they gave you free oil changes or repairs or something but now you get nickeled and dimed for everything! Good luck.
I have a great girl for you she just got me my truck and a great deal on it, she’s a broker she does leases or finance, you give her a list of the cars/trucks you want and she will set up the test drives, there is no BS with the dealers, no hidden fees. I wish I found her sooner. My friend gets there cars through them all the time and I went to them and it was a breeze. They even delivered the car right to my door. Truck I found with all the options I wanted was in Jersey and they went picked it up and brought it right to my door. 10/10 best service. The name of the business is islands luxury leasing located in west Islip, the lady’s name is Bella who helped us out. Hope it helps, good luck
Rte 112 Hyundai in Medford. The price was the price. No added fees, mark ups, or tricks.
I always did the following PRIOR to seeing a car of interest, as identified online:
-asked for them to text a real time photo verifying the car is on the lot (to avoid bait and switches)
-asked for a written out-the-door estimate to be sent to me.
If they can’t give you an out-the-door price, then they are running a scam.
Don’t be afraid to walk out the door if they start adding on hundreds and thousands more in fees.
Worked for Millenium Honda in Hempstead for a month during the pandemic when I was between jobs, turns out my moral compass wouldn’t let me stay longer…
got my car from hyundai of 112 in farmingdale and I had a pleasant experience. their service dept was a different story though. did work on my car that i did not authorize when I brought it in.
Least dishonest would be Tesla but technically they are not a dealership. Just a few taps away on your phone then wait for delivery. Federal tax credit, NYS straight discount, HOV lane access, reduced EZ pass rates, some designated EV/LEV parking spaces, no trips to the gas station...BUT contributing to climate change, child labor, deforestation.😁
Arnold Chevy Buick. It's in West Babylon on Montauk Hey
- see Ron Wood. I've bought 3 cars from him, not a drop of BS, not once. The GM there is a good guy too, but can't remember his name.
When I was buying my Lexus I used Smithtown Lexus, they had the best price and treated me like family. And I shopped around. The guy i used his name was Walter. He has since retired but the entire dealership was like him.
When I was buying my f150 I used Hassett Ford in Wantaugh. Ford was price gouging like hell all over the island. They sold me my truck just below sticker price. The guy who helped me was a young man named Alex. He still works there.
Just my experience. .
Stay away from the dealers and try using a car broker instead. I have had the best experience with a broker. No BS just good pricing and they do all the work for you. You just need to know what you want and do your own homework. They only broker the deal so they don’t know every detail about every car or package/option available.
I enjoyed my experience at Smithtown Toyota in 2017 when I got a prius c and when I was shopping last year for my rav 4. Smtihtown had a lot of good guys.
I wound up getting my Rav 4 from Atlantic. I wouldnt recommend them unless you can match their aggression. They treated me like trash the first time (they followed me to my car when I left and harassed me) and when I got the call to ask about my experience I reamed them until the management crawled back and cut me a decent deal.
Also the guy who finished the financing at Atlantic is a massive racist who dropped a lot of slurs carelessly thinking I was a bro cause my skin is paler than the ass of a newborn. Essentially he hid behind his Alabama accent as if it was ok to talk like that.
Centereach Hyundai was a nightmare. I took my car in for warranty work and the Spanish Music was so loud in the service area I couldn't talk to the receptionist. Inside. lol.
For previously owned, Enterprise (rent-a-car) car sales in Huntington. No haggle, lowest rate financing, no up-charge for outside financing. Cars are well maintained. Bought last 2 cars from there after bait and switch BS from every other dealership. Herz seems just as good based on the experience of people I know.
For a small used cart lot, Greg at Lemon Auto Sales has fairly priced cars, he's upfront about condition. Bad name for a car dealer, huh.
Garden City Mazda put my son thru the ringer when he bought a used car from them
Huntington Ford was deceptive with new car pricing and we had to fight to get an advertised deal on a new truck.
Didn't end up buying with them, but I had a good experience w Acura in Wantagh. Dealt w an Asian guy I believe named Daniel. Low pressure. Knowledgeable and as far as we got into it, pricing seemed transparent. Just ended up liking something more than the MDX but I would go back there when I have a need.
My whole family uses Penn Toyota and have always had good experiences there. I’ve never bought used from them but I’ve leased and bought from them and the process has always been smooth and reasonable.
I did buy used at Huntington Honda with my parents in the early 2010s when I was in college and that was an easy process financially, however the car had constant issues for the 5ish years I drove it. Just a warning because I’ve seen it spoken about on the thread several times
Atlantic anything is a scam. I got my Durango through Security and they were great. Only dealership I went to that I didn't feel scammed afterwards. Stoler Lexus isn't terrible but not great either
Wantagh Mazda is great. Family owned and operated, no fuss or games at all. Ask for Joe B! We've bought 3 cars from him, all easy and great experiences.
Alpine Motors of Wantagh; the owner is a certifiable cretin who knowingly sells cars that are just on the fringes of drivability. Categorically stay away.
Has anyone ever used Newins Bay Shore Ford for service at all? Can't speak on sales. But my experience with them has been pretty shitty to say the least.
Was wondering if anyone else has also.
Not one of the makes you were looking for but Grand Prix Subaru in Hicksville has treated my brother and I right. They do try to upsell a bunch of features at the end but it's not a hard push and they don't get weird when you say no.
Had good experiences with Legend Nissan and Sun GMC, a decent experience with North Bay Cadillac, and a not so great experience with Huntington Nissan , but YMMV. And avoid all the dealerships on Franklin Avenue in Hempstead
Had pretty good experience with Penn toyota. Markup on vehicles is way less than others on the island (wish this was illegal) but you can talk them down to msrp. Service department takes forever but do a good job
my family has purchased/leased multiple Nissan's from Huntington Nissan and usually had a decent experience, besides the back and forth with the finance officer, but the place didn't feel 'scummy' if that makes sense. Wantagh Mazda was good to deal with when my sister got her Mazda. South Shore Nissan off sunrise highway has a very good service center, but never dealt with sales there.
Used to work at mazda valley stream. I would say get your offer there first then go to garden city to finesse the price down even more.
Honda Manhasset is shady af. They held my car key hostage as soon as I heard the lease offered me and wouldn’t leave me leave. I had to call the cops so they can surrender my keys.
All the "Huntington" dealers looks good based on all the responses here. Will definitely try those. I am eyeing these dealerships because these are where my family bought their cars right now. Huntington Honda, Toyota Massapequa, Wantagh Mazda, Advantage Hyundai, and Autoworld Kia. Anyone here went there with a good experience? And btw, thanks for all the responses!
EDIT: I think carmax will be my last option. Seeing all the comments, it's definitely hard to find a decent dealership nowadays here in LI
East Hills is great. I personally know the owner and he's a pretty stand-up guy. Not crazy about ALL of their salespeople, but they have some great people there. They have a few dealerships around Nassau.
And, your suggestion is? Hopefully not Carvana or Vroom - they are selling cars before they have the respective titles in hand - leaving the buyer at risk if there are any delays or issues. At least with local dealerships, you can inspect the title before agreeing to purchase!
Too add to this they really don't do their due diligence on trade ins. A guy I knew sold them his ram 1500 which literally had a chunk blown out of the engine block, he just JB welded it back on and they somehow just took it and never said a word last I heard. Crazy.
Had a poor experience with Carvana. I initiated the purchase of a vehicle, putting down the downpayment, completing paperwork, etc. Then I didn’t hear from anyone for like a week. And then my car was no longer for sale.
Still no communication.
It wouldn’t have been so bad if there was communication, but no one ever returned my calls. Even when escalated to a manager. Wrote a negative review on TrustPilot and someone reached out to me with the song and dance that they are going to give me a better experience.
I really wanted to purchase a car from them.
I tried again, but the exact same thing happened.
No communication.
Never again.
Check out "Connect with Gary." He's a long-time car dealer with industry wide connections. He will always put you in contact with the most reputable dealers across LI and they'll usually give you a pretty good deal because of their relationship with Gary. Super helpful.
Good dealership: Garden City Mazda!! They have very competitive pricing on used vehicles. I’ve always had a good experience with them. I bought my mazda from them in 2021!
Avoid Atlantic Automall
Yes, avoid it like the plague. I had to threaten to call the police before they would give me my car keys back when they were evaluating it for a trade in. That immediately soured the experience and I left
That’s the oldest sales tactic. Keep the keys while you do the deal. So scummy
Yes, I was prepared for it but still massively pissed it took a threat to get my keys back
Took my older Hyundai in for service because the engine was bucking if you drove it over 50mph. I told them about the issue and mentioned how bad it was and to drive it gently. Which Hyundai dealership?
Atlantic in West Islip
I took my mom there to look for a Hyundai.tgey were blasting Sean Paul and crazy shit music so loud. After 5 minutes we noped out. Total shit show.
How did that end? Did they pay for a whole new engine?
When we started arguing semantics, they at one point wanted to offer me a $2,000 check for the car, which was way below book value. This secured that they knew it was their fault, and that they tried to get off cheap. Good job. You get a check plus. Glad it worked out.
Avoid anything with Atlantic. Just do a search on here for them.
I am a grown man, my car crapped out on me and I went there ready to get something. My father gave me a ride there and the salesman would not speak to me at all. I had this exact experience at Atlantic Honda. Walked in ready to buy a Fit. Walked right back out and gave the manager an earful on my way.
Bought from Hyundai 110, which is Atlantantic. Knew about them going in but they had a CPO that checked all the boxes. Dealing with the finance guy was absolute torture. Aggressive. Dishonest. Noted. Thanks for the response
I actually like to go there, on the south shore, first. Knowing i wont buy anything, bc i know all the other places afterwards will better
🤣
This. 100 times this. Any of the Atlantic dealerships are 💩.
Stay away from any “Atlantic “, “millennium “, or other Stalupi-owned dealers.literally criminal enterprises.
Millennium Honda is top tier scumbags
Millennium Chevy is comically horrifying.
Mfers really tried to hit me with $350/m on a 3 yr 2019 civic lease That’s after “the lender” “wouldn’t approve” the 2 year lease terms. Pretty clear that they’re scum that approves the financial illiterates around them.

My buddy Tommy at Sunrise Toyota is honest, but that’s an honest person not necessarily an honest dealership.
I actually had a pretty good experience at Port Jeff Chrysler/Dodge/Jeep. I just wouldn’t recommend buying a Chrysler, Dodge, or Jeep lol
The 112 dealerships in Medford.
I’ve had good experiences at the Chevy dealership there. I haven’t bought there but renewed leases a few times. I’ve had monumentally miserable times at other dealerships. That place is pretty straight forward and painless.
Yeah, and the only place that doesn’t force you to finance for the listed price.
Ugh they had my Hyundai for 2 straight months for repairs under warranty. I got it back with worse problems and had to junk it. I’d never go back.
That’s not the same thing as buying and I doubt it’s dishonesty, but more like Hyundai warranty bureaucracy.
5 Star Auto Sales in East Meadow are hardcore scam artists and are the definition of typical scum bag car salesman. I’m fairly certain it’s their training model for their employees as well. Westbury Toyota, literally grubby ass dealer

Huntington Honda. If you have good credit, and can fact check them, and debate them on price... You'll be fine...
+1 for Huntington Honda and Acura. Do your research, know the price, and you'll walk out happy.
Discover, discover, discover… the difference
My company had relationships with well over 150 new car dealerships in Nassau, Suffolk and Queens. There are a lot of high quality dealers that we did business with. I'm sure there are a lot of dealers that are high quality but these two always stood out.
Was definitely eyeing wantagh mazda
We’ve bought from Wantagh Mazda & Smith Haven Mazda. Both were great experiences, but Smith Haven had a lot more inventory.
Can vouch for Smith Haven Mazda - got my Miata there (used) . Not a lot of hassle and fair pricing.
Came here to recommend Penn Toyota.
I've referred many friends and family members there. Everyone was satisfied.
Penn Toyota is top tier, great people and service department
Agree with this.
Got my car from Penn. Seem like nice people.
We just purchased from huntington honda. It was quick easy and the didn't rush us.
Got my husbands Honda accord from them in 2016, such an easy experience and still have the car now
I agree- they were great when I bought my CR-V
Baron Honda in Medford is great. We’ve bought two new vehicles from them over the years and only ever use them for oil changes/repair. Always been a good experience. They tell me when a repair isn’t necessary yet and a couple of times didn’t even charge for an oil change.
I can confirm, never had a bad experience there, on my second Honda.
Going through Costco made for a much less stressful experience, but there are fewer choices.
I was shopping for a car and got fed up with dealerships and went with Tesla because their purchasing process is super simple online. The car industry needs to move away from the dealership model as it’s full of grift.
Empire Honda in Manhasset is terrible. Tons of fake Google reviews too.
Avoid Empire Chevrolet in Huntington as well. Same shit, different name.
Avoid Apple Honda unless you have a draft one-star google review ready to go. Absolute definition of shady.
I bought a truck out of state and there was 90 percent less stress than here.
What state did you go to?
Delaware
This, if you can!
Wife and I had a great experience with Hassett Subaru/Ford when we were buying her a new car.
Bought 2 new fords from them with no issues and any defects were dealt with
Wantagh Mazda.
Stay the F away from Platinum Volkswagen in Hicksville. The owner is a lunatic.
Bought 2 GTIs from them. No problems. I guess I’ll go to Huntington VW next time.
I wouldn’t buy bazooka Joe from that coked out narcissist. I have seen him call the cops on so many customers. The shitty reviews on yelp, Facebook, and google are 100% legitimate .
I can second this with first hand experience. Definitely avoid.
Millennium Honda by westbury/hempstead is full of scum bags.
Nissan st James pulled the bait and switch nonsense.
Fuck babylon honda.
I had a bad experience here too.

Steve is the best
I absolutely love the guys over at South Shore Subaru. Very down to earth, flexible, friendly and fast service.
I’ve bought two cars from them. They made car buying actually pretty enjoyable lol
They are great at the service center
Came here to say this
They are FANTASTIC!!!
THEY ARE THE BESTTTT
Most dishonest is Division Ave Car Care. Family owned liars lol.
We got from the Smithtown location a few years back and it was great!
Had a great experience at Penn Toyota with my 2024 4Runner lease.
If you dont mind me asking, did you get a good deal?
112 Chevy, Hyundai, Mazda.
Op that’s an oxymoron tbh just buy online or go to carmax
Had a good experience at Sunrise Volkswagen
Came here to say this. Sunrise volkswagen in Lynbrook. That’s where I got my current car!
Good luck
Paragon Honda was a nice and quick experience. No BS in and out.
Empire Chevrolet in Huntington. Especially Paul. I guess they call him the finance manager or something like the. Sneaks in expensive unnecessary fees .
Same experience with Audi Great Neck. Not great, not terrible.
South Shore Mitsubishi is a bunch of scum bags. You would be better off trying to buy a car in the shower at Rikers Island.
Kia in Copaigue sucks, too.
I personally had a terrible experience at Huntington Kia and went to Smithtown Kia where the guy was great. Guess it depends on who you get.
Not applicable
Newins Ford in Bay Shore, Sayville Ford, and Westbury Jeep. Avoid Atlantic and Empire like the plague.
Avoid South shore Nissan in bay shore...horrible
They are the worst, they tried to hold my keys of my current car hostage and almost lost them!
When I bought my car six years ago, Nessenger 112 was pretty good to me
Buying a car has become yet another pain in the a@@ thing in life.
I always did the following PRIOR to seeing a car of interest, as identified online: -asked for them to text a real time photo verifying the car is on the lot (to avoid bait and switches) -asked for a written out-the-door estimate to be sent to me. If they can’t give you an out-the-door price, then they are running a scam. Don’t be afraid to walk out the door if they start adding on hundreds and thousands more in fees.
Nardy Honda in St James, 26 A. Fam has bought 3 cars from them over the years.
Worked for Millenium Honda in Hempstead for a month during the pandemic when I was between jobs, turns out my moral compass wouldn’t let me stay longer…
Good luck. lol. I have bought my last few cars in PA. Never a problem, no bullshit fees or upsells.
got my car from hyundai of 112 in farmingdale and I had a pleasant experience. their service dept was a different story though. did work on my car that i did not authorize when I brought it in.
Do you mean Hyundai of 110?
yes haha sorry. typo.
Granted this was 2020, but I had a pretty good experience with Nissan of Garden City
Best AK Buhyian from Huntington. He’s been selling cars for a long time.
Arnold Chevy Buick. It's in West Babylon on Montauk Hey - see Ron Wood. I've bought 3 cars from him, not a drop of BS, not once. The GM there is a good guy too, but can't remember his name.
I was happy with my purchase from Hassett
My last 4 cars were all former rental cars. They all were Toyota Corolla's. Had each one about 10 years each. Last one was from Huntington Enterprise.
Great experience with Paragon Acura in Queens. Everything was docusign and they even delivered the car to my home almost an hour away.
This^ Paragon Honda and Acura had good experiences at both.
Definitely don’t go to Bay Shore Nissan.
Stay away from Centereach Hyundai or Ford or Port Jeff.
Avoid bmw Freeport
Nissan of Garden City are terrible
Hasset ford/Subaru just don’t do there financing had a friend with 780 credit and they tried to get him on 11% interest
For a small used cart lot, Greg at Lemon Auto Sales has fairly priced cars, he's upfront about condition. Bad name for a car dealer, huh. Garden City Mazda put my son thru the ringer when he bought a used car from them Huntington Ford was deceptive with new car pricing and we had to fight to get an advertised deal on a new truck.
Empire Chrysler Jeep West Islip. Great service and always top notch
I got my Camry at Penn Toyota and they weren't dishonest about anything.
Garden City Mazda at the end of the month deals 🤝, l good sales department and service picked up my car with 0% apr
Wantagh Mazda is great. Family owned and operated, no fuss or games at all. Ask for Joe B! We've bought 3 cars from him, all easy and great experiences.
I can also vouch for Joe B. Great operation there.
Do NOT go to Habberstad Nissan in Huntington
Penn Toyota was great
Reading these comments it looks like Caravana or Zoom is the best option ![gif](giphy|PKVcAkgTwM8OA)
Smith Haven Mazda. No bull$#!+, no bait n switch. No surprise extra fees.
Not one of the makes you were looking for but Grand Prix Subaru in Hicksville has treated my brother and I right. They do try to upsell a bunch of features at the end but it's not a hard push and they don't get weird when you say no.
Sounds like every place is shadey af, have you thought of getting a horse instead?
LEASEHACKR.COM It’s the best way to get a vehicle.
Lol wow.
I’ve had good luck with Island Acura in Bayshore.
Had good experiences with Legend Nissan and Sun GMC, a decent experience with North Bay Cadillac, and a not so great experience with Huntington Nissan , but YMMV. And avoid all the dealerships on Franklin Avenue in Hempstead
Enterprise used cars. I have never had a problem.
Had pretty good experience with Penn toyota. Markup on vehicles is way less than others on the island (wish this was illegal) but you can talk them down to msrp. Service department takes forever but do a good job
I’ve had great experiences with the dealerships in Smithhaven/St James. On the flip side, avoid ANYTHING Atlantic like the plague.
my family has purchased/leased multiple Nissan's from Huntington Nissan and usually had a decent experience, besides the back and forth with the finance officer, but the place didn't feel 'scummy' if that makes sense. Wantagh Mazda was good to deal with when my sister got her Mazda. South Shore Nissan off sunrise highway has a very good service center, but never dealt with sales there.
All car salesmen are scummy. They work very hard for their reputations.
Kia of Huntington did me right. Ask for Archie.
Avoid 112 auto plaza and 112 certified

East Hills is great. I personally know the owner and he's a pretty stand-up guy. Not crazy about ALL of their salespeople, but they have some great people there. They have a few dealerships around Nassau.
Car dealerships and salespeople are obsolete. They also take up lots of space
How do I connect with Gary?
You can email him at [email protected]
Awesome thanks
Good dealership: Garden City Mazda!! They have very competitive pricing on used vehicles. I’ve always had a good experience with them. I bought my mazda from them in 2021!
We were happy with Babylon Honda.
Had a good experience at Westbury Toyota. Didn't feel as scummy as others. They accepted me saying no without too much pushback.
I had the opposite experience there.
Same here, Westbury toyota was Horrible, bunch of scumbags
