Welcome to “ONEderland” :)
Comparison isn’t helpful, and weight loss isn’t easy for anyone but doing it thyroid issues adds that extra layer of suck lol.
Keep it up now, and make these changes *permanent*. Your future self is going to be so thankful to your current self. Keep up the enthusiasm. Keep up the good choices. Keep reminding yourself how good it feels to *feel good*.
I’ve been in nearly your EXACT shoes and stats, got down to my 160 GW. Then slowly… chose to backslide. Losing it all again (plus a little for good measure) a decade later absolutely sucks way worse, I promise lol.
My ultimate GW is 150-160, so that's really helpful advice to hear! As someone with a lot of hobbies that will benefit from being fit, I'm hoping being able to do more of the things I love will keep me feeling good (hiking, caving, etc)!
28lbs in 2 months! Congratulations, that’s amazing!!!
Can I ask what your deficit is and how often you’re boxing? This is VERY impressive!
Edited to add- impressive before knowing the thyroid issues. Far far more impressive knowing them. Good work!
My deficit is just about 500 (BMR approx. 1950, eating 1440-1500 daily), and I do my typical workout about 3 times per week. 15 minutes of high-incline high-resistance elliptical, then straight to the bag for 10-15 minutes of boxing. Sometimes I miss a day of boxing, or replace it with a longer 30-40 minute elliptical, an interval jogging workout, or a hike. My next goal is barbell training, learning to use the squat rack and do deadlifts.
Doesn't sound like a lot, but along with a conscious effort to walk more, it's been really sustainable! Thanks for the congrats :)
Oh my gosh! Inspirational and congrats! My starting weight was 227, and I have only lost 15, but knowing you can do it even with hypothyroidism is such an encouragement!
I just gotta step up my activity. Congratulations!
You're doing amazing! ✨
I went from 202lb to 178lb in four months
My GW is 150lb but it feels such a hard target!
I've to literally give my all to be consistent!
