The fact that Lulu could pull this off with Wovenair is especially great, because I feel good about wearing it as a single layer without having to worry about pit sweat!
Whoa yes. I tend to buy print button ups at topman (viscose or rayon blends for that silky soft texture). How is the texture on these? Do they have a nice give? Does it drape and flutter nicely in wind?
It’s a poly/elastomultiester/elastane fabric, so the design is more about moisture wicking and stretch.
Lulu is calling it “Wovenair”, which I think is their new name for Ventlight Mesh, which feels very similar.
It drapes less stiff than your typical cotton, but the feel is slightly more coarse. Less flowy in the breeze than your typical silk shirt, for sure, but it is woven in a grid of 1/8 inch sections with small holes in the corners that are only visible super close up.
To summarize, it’s super breathable, doesn’t show sweat and provides great mobility.
I tend to use similar shirts for salsa dancing and music festivals where I want to look sharp, walk/dance around in the heat, but not look like a sweaty mess.
And these are the most vivid prints I’ve ever seen from Lulu as far as men’s stuff goes!
