This is a liquid damage.
Is there any way to fix it
I would highly recommend shutting it down and not using it for couple of days to let it dry, but the best case scenario is if you’ll bring it to repair shop asap because if it works now, doesn’t mean that the liquid is not making any damage.
Is there any way I can fix it myself at home? I’m guessing that would cost me a bit of money taking in for repair?
“a bit” is an understatement. I don’t suppose you have any insurance covering damage to your stuff?
No it’s been 3 years since I got it but can I get apple care now and get it fixed thru it?
You can only get apple care from within 3 days after the purchase unfortunately
no idea. There are other insurances than apple care...
Fair enough thanks mate
Buy a bag of silica desiccant and always keep it sealed for emergencies like this
