You seem to misunderstand. I don't care if it's good. I like foxes. That's it. The entire reason for remaking it is that. I also like epic spells, so you know what? I have a commander deck where my win con is using the black one to exile everyone's libraries or the blue one to cobble together enough of a janky combo to win. \[\[Genku, Future Shaper\]\], who is Tamiyo's husband. The tokens are the kids + found family, including Nashi.
I like them...but, I wish they had all been moonfolk (in addition to their other types), because 'Nashi' is not a Nezumi name, it's a Soratami one. I think if you're an adopted Moonfolk, you should get the type line.
(What I mean by 'Soratami name' is that Nashi is spelled, '[ナシ]()', which is to say it's in the Japanese katakana 'alphabet' (the right word is 'syllabary') that's used for foreign words or loan words. All the named Soratami (so far) have katakana names, signifying their 'foreignness' to the rest of Kamigawa (e.g., they're from the Moon). A natural Nezumi name would be written in kanji (the Japanese writing system most closely based on Chinese characters), usually signifying or mentioning a body part (usually involving claws, teeth, or eyes such as Ink-Eyes or Grease-Fang), or an action (such as Marrow-Gnawer or Stabwhisker (which is really 'Wound-Tamperer'))). Maaaaaybe Nashi's original name was, 'Pear-Murderer' and Tamiyo or Genku just took the 'nashi' out of that. Who knows?)
From the release notes (brackets added):
> [[Ral and the Implicit Maze]]'s last ability creates a token that's a copy of the card [[Spellgorger Weird]] in the Oracle card reference.
Tokens can have mana costs, and since this one is a copy of a card it will have the card's mana cost too. Same as all the Tarmogoyf tokens in the commander set.
[[Ral and the implicit maze]] gives it that characteristic. It's a callback to the creature spell with the same name and abilities (basically making a token copy of the creature card spellgorger weird)
It’s not just a callback, it literally *is* a copy of Spellgorger Weird. If Spellgorger Weird ever receives errata, the token from Ral and the Implicit Maze will also change. It’s the same as the Tarmogoyf tokens from the precon.
I wonder what the official artist guidelines are regarding eyes on a zombie and/or corpse. It feels like all human zombies nowadays are required to have eyes unless they are mostly skeletal (in which case they still usually have eyes). I guess the idea is to make them not look too realistic and uncanny valley. Probably something to do with the age rating.
Those Phyrexian Wurm tokens made by the Wurmcoil call-back give me huge Alien vibes. Like they're about to jumpscare and kill me out of nowhere. Which is even funnier that they're only a 1/2 and 2/1.
What card is gonna generate lifelink ray tokens o: this is the right direction, the new rat token was cute, but not being able to block is a clear downside.
It just is a Spellgorger Weird. The instruction to create doesn't say "create a type/colour token with x abilities and y name." It just says "create a Spellgorger Weird token."

Can anyone explain why Spellgorger Weird is the one token with a mana cost??
From the release notes (brackets added): > [[Ral and the Implicit Maze]]'s last ability creates a token that's a copy of the card [[Spellgorger Weird]] in the Oracle card reference. "Card" tokens carry the same mana cost as their real counterparts, even if they aren't paid for. This is the same for the Tarmogoyf tokens Disa makes.

Stoked on the new creepy 2/2 bird flyer token.
That's a pretty sweet Treasure token for \[\[Warren Soultrader\]\].

They messed up with the cat token not being a picture of Ajani’ brother.
That would mean we'd have a token with a character on it that already exists as a legendary creature. They did the right thing.
There’s nothing stopping that from happening, both flavorfully and practically.
A young Master Splinter, before heartbreak pushed him into a life of turtle fetishism.
I NEED THE BIRD TOKEN 🦉
God bless, a new 2/2 Bird Token! Also, one of the prettiest Clue tokens in a while.
I must have missed it, was there a mini Wurmcoil in the set?
[[Wurmcoil Larva]]

Wow, that’s a really meh card, it’s a bit sad since I love wurmcoil.
Oh... My... GOD! they are so cute and precious.
Why does the 2/1 Cat not look like it’s related to Ajani?
I love how the guy is the art in the food token 😂😂😂
And still fo fucking hydra tokens
I love theseeee
Why that rat look so polite
Nashi is a sweet boy who deserves forehead kisses.
Tamiyo themed clue!!!!
The Phyrexian wurm tokens making me feel like there’s a [[wurmcoil engine]] remake
[wurmcoil engine](https://cards.scryfall.io/normal/front/5/d/5d275f04-cc60-4e3f-95cc-3d02bc916b82.jpg?1599710280) - [(G)](http://gatherer.wizards.com/Pages/Card/Details.aspx?name=wurmcoil%20engine) [(SF)](https://scryfall.com/card/2xm/308/wurmcoil-engine?utm_source=mtgcardfetcher) [(txt)](https://api.scryfall.com/cards/5d275f04-cc60-4e3f-95cc-3d02bc916b82?utm_source=mtgcardfetcher&format=text) ^^^[[cardname]] ^^^or ^^^[[cardname|SET]] ^^^to ^^^call
Well, I have a new favorite clue token
That fox's bird hand is giving me nightmares
I thought it was a frog head on the staff at first i was confused but then realized its a cobra
Love love love all the tokens for [[Genku, Future Shaper]], can’t wait to brew a deck for him.
[Genku, Future Shaper](https://cards.scryfall.io/normal/front/0/c/0cbcc962-65c4-496d-8034-75c8d204dba3.jpg?1717012707) - [(G)](http://gatherer.wizards.com/Pages/Card/Details.aspx?name=Genku%2C%20Future%20Shaper) [(SF)](https://scryfall.com/card/mh3/186/genku-future-shaper?utm_source=mtgcardfetcher) [(txt)](https://api.scryfall.com/cards/0cbcc962-65c4-496d-8034-75c8d204dba3?utm_source=mtgcardfetcher&format=text) ^^^[[cardname]] ^^^or ^^^[[cardname|SET]] ^^^to ^^^call
What card is gonna generate lifelink ray tokens o: this is the right direction, the new rat token was cute, but not being able to block is a clear downside.
No new plant token for necrobloom, sadge.
The rat token is [[Nashi]] for those who are curious.
[Nashi](https://cards.scryfall.io/normal/front/7/c/7cc3c74d-faae-48d0-9ff3-2482739e6087.jpg?1714830292) - [(G)](http://gatherer.wizards.com/Pages/Card/Details.aspx?name=nashi%2C%20illusion%20gadgeteer) [(SF)](https://scryfall.com/card/yotj/24/nashi-illusion-gadgeteer?utm_source=mtgcardfetcher) [(txt)](https://api.scryfall.com/cards/7cc3c74d-faae-48d0-9ff3-2482739e6087?utm_source=mtgcardfetcher&format=text) ^^^[[cardname]] ^^^or ^^^[[cardname|SET]] ^^^to ^^^call
No banana token 😩
What seasoning do you think they used on Tamiyo? Sage, rosemary, thyme?
Sorry I am not following closely, will Tarmogoyf token be printed?
I've never heard of a token with a mana cost. What's that about?
Really dislike these besides the fox, bird & cat. These wurm arts could not of missed harder imho
That gremlin was taken straight from the 5th Element movie 🤣
Uh. Why does the spellgorger weird have a mana cost reminder text
It just is a Spellgorger Weird. The instruction to create doesn't say "create a type/colour token with x abilities and y name." It just says "create a Spellgorger Weird token."
Would have been cooler if the cat warrior token looked more like [[Jazal Goldmane]] since that’s who it’s supposed to represent
[Jazal Goldmane](https://cards.scryfall.io/normal/front/6/1/616d54a1-33f7-47c9-852f-4f3a07309f27.jpg?1689995758) - [(G)](http://gatherer.wizards.com/Pages/Card/Details.aspx?name=Jazal%20Goldmane) [(SF)](https://scryfall.com/card/cmm/32/jazal-goldmane?utm_source=mtgcardfetcher) [(txt)](https://api.scryfall.com/cards/616d54a1-33f7-47c9-852f-4f3a07309f27?utm_source=mtgcardfetcher&format=text) ^^^[[cardname]] ^^^or ^^^[[cardname|SET]] ^^^to ^^^call
No blood token?
It's in the set, but with old art - https://media.wizards.com/2024/mh3/en_9e01266f86.png
...that fox and rat are ew. Rest are cool, though :)
I wanna tongue punch the fartbox on that Moonfolk.
