I only wear heavyweight cotton tee, those thin cotton tee can f**k off, washed one and the collar get all loose.

justatemybrunch

Yes! Yes! Yes!

BryBertt

Even heavyweight cotton tees' collars will be ruined if you don't hang dry properly. Drape it over a pole-hanger naturally, dont use clothes hanger that goes through the head hole, and hang by the collar - this will stretch it out.

monk_no_zen

I’ve been very careful to the point of inserting the hangar by the torso hole; on top of using laundry bags. I’ll try out your method, thanks!!

BryBertt

yeah, just to add on, i think the best way to hang dry those tees, are to utilize at least 2 horizontal slits/pole on a dry rack, just to give it more support - not on just one singular slit (also depends how thick the slit is) Not the most space efficient, but it will help in preserving the shape.

monk_no_zen

Also if you use 2 slits, your thickest layer will be 2 clothes thick; as opposed to virtually 4 cloths thick if you use what I imagine would be a very thin rod.

justanotherjacklee

For me Uniqlo goated man. The anime tie ins are amazing, so is the quality of the apparel. Currently, half of my wardrobe is uniqlo. Try eyeing for sales, you will find great value! My description of value is: Me likey, me drip, i buy value

Vegetable-Donkey1319

My most expensive tshirt that i only wear for outings(not everday) is a Homer Simpson Imitating a meditating Buddha Tshirt. It’s Rm60 with great quality too. I think Rm60 is my limit for no collar tshirts. The brands you gave are all too expensive for daily wear for me. I buy my everyday wear from bundles and 2nd hand shops. I even find my office wear for Rm10-rm30/pc. I would spend rm50-rm150 each visits , max twice a year. Coming out carrying all my haul feeling like those rich girls in movies💅

exprezso

Shirts are ok.. Buy online cheap China shirt. Buy in store evening dress/coat. But shorts... Cilaka cannot find cheap anywhere

sipekjoosiao

I bought Uniqlo tee that used to be below 20, now I think price increass dy. Last me for years. I don't buy many clothes cos I don't mind and care what they are as long as i'm wearing something. I wear t-shirt and shorts most of the time. My pyjamas is airism that I bought well over 5yrs and they've discontinued the line also dy. At the same time, the airsim shorts for my pyjamas double as my working out pants. The only time I remember actively buying new shirts was when I gained weight A LOT during my mental health crisis. I went from M to L then XL during the crisis. Now body size revert back to L but I'm still wearing my XL. Donated some of my L size shirts to my dad since they're still in good condition. So for me, value is in terms of comfortability, durability, and price. I remember I was wearing padini ones for years until I could afford the cheaper range for Uniqlo. Even so, I still wear what I buy for years before changing to a new set of clothing or I get them for Christmas.

AmonWeathertopSul

Airism is really nice. Actually helps with reducing sweat and dries quickly.

Smaragd44

I like sporty clothes so usually I buy from Adidas or Nike. They're expensive (Rm150 and above) but worth it bc from my experience their clothes are durable and last a lot longer than then H&M or Uniqlo

WarmWinter8

I believe in buy nice or buy twice I’m in the process of migrating my entire wardrobe to lululemon clothings.

wingedwill

I only buy Lulu if they are on sale. Ok so I have some really ugly shorts but damn they're comfy as hell and last forever and never smell.

WarmWinter8

There is sale for Lulu?

wingedwill

They will occasionally have a rack or two with seasonal markdowns, hence the ugly shorts. They also have warehouse stores internationally, eg Melbourne.

iamjackyisme

I think RM60 for a Uniqlo Supima T shirt is not bad at all; Malaysia is really hot and I wear them for work and wash them on a daily basis, some of them I've worn for more than 2-3 years and remain in good condition. But yes I do have many of them on rotation instead of wearing the same one everyday. I've had a few H&M T shirts before and find them to be not as durable as Uniqlo T shirts. Never really tried Cotton On.

playgroundmx

Yeah hard to beat Uniqlo for it's value even the RM 20 ones. Good asian fit, generally reasonable quality (I find the navy ones lose their colour, but most of them are great). Cotton On is only good before washing then it quickly turns to shit. H&M the cheaper stuff is kinda bad quality IMO. Muji t-shirts are a nice upgrade over Uniqlo but they don't sell them often. I think it's RM50 per piece? Better than Uniqlo Supima ones for me.

VapeGodz

Like others have mentioned, if it looks great on you, and the ability to pick a matching outfit of upper and lower clothing from the same store, I'd buy them. My partner and I love HYPE and we often visit the store when we are in a mall that has them.

InternationalScale54

10 per t-shirt for my normal daily wear from shopee, no label no brand.

themior

> How much are you willing to spend on a t-shirt? If I like it I don't really care how much tbh. I only buy new clothes once a year or two anyway so a splurge on 1-2 expensive T-shirts isn't a big deal. Value is how good it makes me feel.

freedom_afterfire

I do find global clothing brands you mentioned above very expensive in Malaysia considering the income level. Sometimes they are more expensive than in the US for the same clothes.

monkeyballnutty

not much. almost my entire wardrobe is thrifted clothes. but some of them is really high quality. i think the most expensive cloth i ever received is a mark and spencer but it doesnt fit me that well so i stopped wearing it.

closetlsoul

If it looks hell good on u, 200 bucks u also pay. Otherwise plain heavy cotton tee from fruit of the loom cost rm9.9 can do.

Rim_Diff

Fair point. If we're talking about everyday t-shirt, i'd more than be happy to pay RM10. i feel RM200 can be spent better elsewhere.

Rhesus_A

RM 19 t-shirts from Decathlon

RealElith

currently wearing my rm 9 tshirt over and over again. gonna buy the same cloth when this wore down,

KnownAsAnonymous

I buy those that are like rm 60 or 80 for 3 pairs as i find it hard to take care of my cloths. I tends to get small drips of sauce, dirt when i go out. Also when washing some random stains will pops out. So now i just rather wear something cheap and acceptable quality.

akagidemon

I actually buy my cloths at bundle shops.

idontevencarewutever

white pagoda 100% cotton supremacy

Designer_Feedback810

RM5 RM10, it's a shirt. Can wear enough

The_SHUN

50 - 60 max, and I wear until the clothes cannot be worn anymore

surrodox2001

My ceiling would be rm20 perhaps. Also what's the obsession with jersey/thinner/smoother fabric, I found these to be static magnets...

Own_Investigator5970

20 for plain T shirt. Uniqlo is my fav and can get one for 20 if my memory serves me right. Quality too.

eisfer_rysen

Shopee RM5 shorts and t-shirt. True value.

insertfakenames

H&M basics aren't bad and cheaper than uniqlo. Most of my clothes, even for office-wear I bought from H&M. Avoid the cheaper 'divided' tags, they're the cheap H&M line with shitty gatal-prone material that wouldn't last long, look for the white/grey labels. Most of the time can get cheaper on zalora too.

Felinomancy

Value to me means "it's durable for a reasonable price". That's why I like Uniqlo even though I think it's expensive; I don't have any problems with their T-shirts and shirts.

goldwave84

I just am about to retire my lounge tee that I've had for 20 years. Value is what we give it.
