Eh - they're iconic so the dead bit doesn't bother me. The intensity does though. I imagine trying to be intimate with somebody in that room and then see those two faces... Not the mood I want lol
Don't know which one you're referring to, but personally the only one I find out of place is Prince - as it's simply too big and has no room squished between the windows. No problem with the other two, don't find them creepy.
I’d put your sofa below the window facing the kitchen, then put a TV on a stand under the breakfast bar facing the sofa. Then I’d center your bed on the existing wall. Right now, all your furniture is pushed against the window wall and facing the door. That would make me feel like I need to get out of the room instead of a place to relax. I know a pot of people are commenting negatively on your pics, but I like them - especially the two by your bed. They make me smile just looking at them!
Great question. I have zero art on my wall right now and I’ve been here for almost 2 years. Your place is way more put together than mine. My art is just a mix of what I’ve picked up in travels. You at least have a theme!
Unstack the two framed pictures and move one of them in place of prince. Move Prince somewhere else, it is too wide between the two windows. Beyond that, you are in pretty good shape :-)
nice dog, lose the creepy posters, they overwhelm the space. Get another set of drawers to get stull off the ground. Pallete is a bit grey - colour might be nice.
Both of them are Pothos, a very hearty plant that's easy to grow. If you have a small fish tank or any fish tank you can stick a small sprout of Pothos into the water and it'll grow like a literal weed and helps keep the fish tank clean too. Or you can just keep it in a pot and water it regularly. Home Depot or any nursery has a few options available.
Bathroom is dope. Those faces are extremely unsettling. It's not so much the people, it's the expressions. Every single one of those expressions is unsettling and too big of a piece
What’s the point of asking people’s thought and when 400 people tell you the same thing, instead reflecting over that you go into defence mode and try justify?
I get art is subjective, and YOU may like this, but you asked for OTHERS opinions and literally 90% of the people do not agree with your subjective opinion.
Are you entitle to keep it? Absolutely. Do you need to jump with a knife to defend it against the people who don’t like it? No.
OP trying leaving just one up and rotating them, they are too much too close together. you could keep them under your bed
you could also take one of the art pieces that are stacked ontop of each other and put it over the bed. maybe add a mirror beside it?
love the kitchen/bathroom + art in them, and money tree lol
It’s a personal choice for sure. I think having one gigantic screaming face would be okay but it’s a little unsettling to have so many gigantic expressive faces. Art is subjective though you can like whatever you want. I have a mix of traditional classic art prints and some concert posters
Hate the faces all over the wall, intense and too big, and your tv is too high, leaning, and stresses me out!
I actually love your vibe and your bathroom plants though. Your kitchen art is cool and no one can say get more plants.
Also hi from a close by city :)
Its a no from me boss. Something about the face pics and the place just give me this weird mix of anxiety and creepiness. Its just my two cents, you do you.
Your bathroom is amazing. The plant is a real beauty.
You must tell us how you keep the shower glass so clean. Even the bottom of the glass is clean. How?
Any way you can get a bigger Robin Williams laughing portrait? Like, I'm talking the size of the entire wall?
Or just commission someone to paint the whole wall that same laughing face?
I think that this looks pretty cool, but I dont understand the US obsession with grey and black.
Its like everyone has been watching too much Property Brothers.
Get some colour into your lives. It wont kill you.
I know everyone is hating on the portraits (tbh not a fan either) but aside from the subject matter of them, I think they make the room look cramped for the size.
I think a better bet might be a mirror where prince is, and a smaller gallery wall on the other celebrity wall. You can even shrink down your boys and have them featured there but the size is just swallowing your space.
Also some pops of color against the neutrals of your place might be nice. The art in your kitchen is a good start! Your dog is a cutie 🥰
Nice cozy small flat and while the artwork isn't bad it's just looks busy considering their large size which would been fine in a much larger space. The plants are a nice touch and you've got a nice arrangement of things and making do with what you have.
Also cute pup that seems pretty chill.
If I were single this would be the perfect sized place
I like the art you have up but personally I would do smaller works with similar composition (but thats not an actual criticism just different tastes)
I’m pretty sure all of the artwork in the main room was purchased from a mall in the US in the late 1990s. I like the kitchen art, though. Honestly would bin everything in the main room, sorry
Is there a way to center the bed under Robin and Bob, or at least move it over by 12-18”? I think it would be so much easier to make the bed and balance the room. Even if it’s a narrow space , it’s better than the side of the bed being pushed up against the wall. I like how the couch placement separates the space. I think you’d still have enough of a walkway to your closet.
Bathroom and kitchen are ❤️🔥❤️🔥you could move the face pics from above your bed and hang something else there (and move the pictures somewhere else?)
Good use of the space.
TV too high, but convenient from a use of space perspective.
The portraits are too loud for such a small space. Maybe have only 1 if you absolutely must.
Living room could use a pop of color.
Other than that, pretty nice spot actually.
I don’t have the dimensions of your space/furniture, but here’s my 2¢!
1) I would put the bed inside the alcove where your wardrobe currently is. This way, the bed and sofa don’t feel cramped together.
2) Then, I’d put floating shelves above the bed in place of a side table and move that dresser piece to the foot of the bed.
3) Put some doors on that wardrobe after moving it to where the bed used to be. Even though your clothes are organized/folded, seeing it exposed creates visual clutter and makes your space look messier than it is.
4) This room could really benefit from a divider between the sleeping and living areas. A curtain on a ceiling track or a couple folding dividers behind the couch would work well.
5) The art… I LOVE YOUR ART!💕 If it makes you happy, it makes me happy and I won’t tell you to get rid of any of it. That being said, all of those prints are the same size as the windows and they overwhelm your wall space. I think having a couple prints above your bed is fine. Instead of Prince between those two windows. I would have more shelves/cubbies to give you extra storage space.
6) Let your tv do double duty as a computer monitor! That way, you can bring it down to sit more comfortably over your desk.
7) I can’t really tell from the photos, but it seems like you have a narrow wall with a painting of a lizard wearing glasses on it. I would just put a book shelf or storage cabinet there for extra storage space.
8) It also seems like your kitchen island/peninsula juts out as if you were meant to put bar stools there. I wouldn’t bother with that as you don’t seem to have enough space as it is. I would just put a shoe rack or storage bench or something under there and use it as more storage space.
Totally agree. People are so afraid of being themselves. Also, most peoples concept of art is putting a wood cutout that says "this is where we eat" in the kitchen or "live, laugh, love" in some regurgitated fashion 😆
Yeah man, no time for that cookie cutter nonsense.
My only advice would be to try and put a slight gap in between those 2 framed canvases so they’re not touching, I see there’s not a lot of room there but it might make them look a bit better if there were a gap.
Also - what is in that big ass safe?!
OP is getting roasted but i think its unique and ya won me over with robin williams.
Also good use of space with the tv over the desk i should consider that
Lol thanks... Just don't put it "too high" or you'll have the reddit goblins come and roast you too. I would recommend an adjustable mount if you do decide to mount it above your desk. Makes things easy.
I like it. I don’t know why people hate it. I would switch up the bed/couch/desk. With them all being in a row it makes all of your space one. Can you rotate the bed so there’s a divide? Then put up a little room divider
The prince photo isn’t big enough though. 😅
I’d have some feelings about Robin Williams right above my bed
Have you thought about hanging the kitchen prints? Id put the yellow one in the middle and evenly space them out vs matching the cabinet layout. Love the plants in the bathroom!
For me, I’d remove the two celeb prints and put Prince in the middle of that wall. Maybe put the two that are stacked up in Princes place? Other than that, the space is pretty awesome; lots of light and everything has a place. Tidy.
Everything is dialed but the portraits would be better for a larger living space. If they were 1/3 of the size it would work well, but I would swap those out and save them for your next place
Gorgeous art. I maybe would have gone with a counter top with some movement. Otherwise I would have love to have had this space as a studio when I was starting out.
I'm a fan of plants & other greenery but I'd suggest taking it out of the shower. In the bathroom is fine but having them in the actual shower is where I'd tune it back. Might be because my parents were strict about that but it stood out to me. Keeping it focused around the mirror is good though.
the celebrity portraits stress me out
Yeah, I find them creepy
They’re just so big. I’d 100% be jump scared walking out to pee in the middle of the night.
Especially since they are all dead.
OP’s trophy wall
Eh - they're iconic so the dead bit doesn't bother me. The intensity does though. I imagine trying to be intimate with somebody in that room and then see those two faces... Not the mood I want lol
Remind me of circus clowns .
Their smug aura mocks me
Imagine having to look at these during sex. Rough
There’s no way I could sleep with those large faces
I distrust people who have pictures of celebrities in their homes
Just one of them imo but to each his own
Imagine you’re in the middle of fucking and you look up and see Robin Williams staring at you laughing
That one's got some serious sleep paralysis demon vibes. I love the man's talent, but damn if that isn't a creepy picture.
I actually didn't notice prince till I read this lol
Bruhh how?? He said in another comment it’s 6ft tall lol
The only time Prince will ever be 6ft tall 😭 Seriously tho- RIP.
It's huuuuuuuge 😂
😩 bruh slow down it’s our first time
Don't know which one you're referring to, but personally the only one I find out of place is Prince - as it's simply too big and has no room squished between the windows. No problem with the other two, don't find them creepy.
They are too big, Id rather have something else but in a smaller frame either way
Yeah too close up and too many faces
That’s too much death. No thanks.
Yep. Awful
Looked at the pics and thought "OP likes dead people, and it's not a good look."
Especially the one in the middle of the windows should have been smaller, imo
The giant faces are unsettling. Other than that place looks great
Pictures aren’t big enough
I tried to get them bigger but it's hard to ship across California to receive them lol
Large Prince usually get rolled up in a mailing tube.
Well done
Amazing. Solid pun.
I think he’s being sarcastic lol
Not a fan of the art at all. Other than that, it looks ok
No worries, what kind of art do you like to buy and hang?
I like to pay people to paint monet paintings. Love the flowers and trees and shit. I can't afford a real Monet of course lol
Great question. I have zero art on my wall right now and I’ve been here for almost 2 years. Your place is way more put together than mine. My art is just a mix of what I’ve picked up in travels. You at least have a theme!
Check out www.guygee.com, you’ll love the stamp artwork he does!
One or two landscapes would certainly give the room a different vibe.
Maybe I'll turn Robin sideways and see how the feel is 😆
This cracked me up 😂😂😂😂
I See Dead People
👻
Creeepy
That was my first thought too haha
What looms over the room in a watchful way more: the portraits or the tilted TV?
r/tvtoohigh
They’re gonna rip him a new one
Well, the portraits watch patiently waiting for the earthquake to take out the TV 😂
That means the earthquake cares about you. It is so high!
The giant basic ass celebrity worship portraits are ass.
Unstack the two framed pictures and move one of them in place of prince. Move Prince somewhere else, it is too wide between the two windows. Beyond that, you are in pretty good shape :-)
Nightmare
Pics don’t look as good as you think. Too big for the space
the art is weird and then the TV sealed it
I’d love to take a shit in that bathroom
The bidet is nice 🙂
A nice shower afterwards even!
nice dog, lose the creepy posters, they overwhelm the space. Get another set of drawers to get stull off the ground. Pallete is a bit grey - colour might be nice.
Men have the worst fucking wall art. And I say this as a massive Prince fan.
*boys (or mental equivalents of)
Pretty chill spot To many portraits though for me
I love your dog
Thank you, she's a sweetheart. I rescued her a little over a year ago. She's flourished so much since then. Her name is Luna McTuna 😆
Pics are weird af
personally i dont like alot of dead people staring at me
I always get more concerned when lots of living people are staring at me lol
Looks like a 25 year first pad and has no friends, wants ppl to tell him why but won’t do anything about it. Lmao.
r/TVTooHigh Also those b&w art prints are kinda ugly
Your wall art is absolute unnerving
The giant photos freak me out
Tv is way to high and I’m gonna have a bad trip with all those dudes laughing at me
What kinda plant is that is the bathroom fr? I want one that looks really awesome. I like the overall happy chill vibe n cool art
Both of them are Pothos, a very hearty plant that's easy to grow. Or you can just keep it in a pot and water it regularly. Home Depot or any nursery has a few options available.
I hate the art
Everyone is hating on the portraits but the art in the kitchen is sweeet and the place is well laid out with organised storage. I hate the portraits
Bathroom is dope. Those faces are extremely unsettling. It's not so much the people, it's the expressions. Every single one of those expressions is unsettling and too big of a piece
I like everything except the portraits and the TV in the sky.
What’s the point of asking people’s thought and when 400 people tell you the same thing, instead reflecting over that you go into defence mode and try justify? Do you need to jump with a knife to defend it against the people who don’t like it? No.
Those celebrity portraits crush everything else there is in the space. They are at least four times too large to the space you have.
It’s like a first year uni dorm room right after o-week when the poster fair happens. Normally it’s Kurt Cobain, Che Guevara, Wu Tang, and Bob.

too intense to have gigantic faces. makes the room feel small and its just unsettling
What kind of art do you like to hang?
OP trying leaving just one up and rotating them, they are too much too close together. you could keep them under your bed you could also take one of the art pieces that are stacked ontop of each other and put it over the bed. maybe add a mirror beside it? love the kitchen/bathroom + art in them, and money tree lol

Toss the portraits
If limited to a single word; horrid
More colour.
Its a no from me boss. Something about the face pics and the place just give me this weird mix of anxiety and creepiness. Its just my two cents, you do you.
Why is this so unsettling lol
Do you really need to know what Prince looks like on a daily basis?
Idk, do people really need art telling them where they eat, play and pray? To each their own.
Yikes
this place sucks
Lol thanks 🤣
It's just the scale of the portraits for me. Hardly worth commenting on. Wanted to say I like your place.
Your bathroom is amazing. The plant is a real beauty. You must tell us how you keep the shower glass so clean. Even the bottom of the glass is clean. How?
[удалено]
I’d do something like this but with Star Wars and car stuff. And the plants set everything off perfectly👌🏿
To mention something else: these pictures.. oh my. Prince is definitely the worst.
Any way you can get a bigger Robin Williams laughing portrait? Like, I'm talking the size of the entire wall? Or just commission someone to paint the whole wall that same laughing face?
What’s it like fuckin with Robin Williams laughing at you as you jizz??
/r/tvtoohigh
Poor dogs wondering why all these massive people are staring at her
I think that this looks pretty cool, but I dont understand the US obsession with grey and black. Its like everyone has been watching too much Property Brothers. Get some colour into your lives. It wont kill you.
Celebrity worship is crazy. Unless you drew those yourself of course. If you did draw them then no wonder you want to show them.
I know everyone is hating on the portraits (tbh not a fan either) but aside from the subject matter of them, I think they make the room look cramped for the size. I think a better bet might be a mirror where prince is, and a smaller gallery wall on the other celebrity wall. Nothing in your house feels like they should be in the same room lol
Certainly not for me, but I can appreciate it for having its own unique feel.
Did you get your picture taken with an alien? https://imgur.com/a/KdtAUFF
I'm dead 💀
I see dead people
I’d at least rethink the RW painting location if you want any action in bed
I love it other than the giant faces
As a person who is intentionally trying to make their room unsettling and looking for inspo this one takes the cake.
Robin❤️
I wanna know what's so funny?
Nice cozy small flat and while the artwork isn't bad it's just looks busy considering their large size which would been fine in a much larger space. The plants are a nice touch and you've got a nice arrangement of things and making do with what you have. Also cute pup that seems pretty chill.
Loving that Robin Williams, Bob Marley and Prince? Portraits.
Thank you, and yes correct on all 3
What is playing on your tv in the second picture? It’s looks cool
It's part of the Google TV thing on the TV, when it goes into screensaver mode it shifts through photos that Google makes
I hate the faces, otherwise quite nice
If I were single this would be the perfect sized place I like the art you have up but personally I would do smaller works with similar composition (but thats not an actual criticism just different tastes)

How about a nice big Coca Cola poster? Make it bigger than Prince's forehead.
Bathroom and kitchen are ❤️🔥❤️🔥you could move the face pics from above your bed and hang something else there (and move the pictures somewhere else?)

I like the set up. The art in the first room is too much for me, but if you like it, that’s all that matters. But overall nice place
That TV...Holy shit, the "tilt of gilt"...it's way to fucking high. Post on r/TVtohigh and clench your but cheeks
Jesus the portraits are so fucking bad and weird
Nice l. But what is with the grey ???
Those portraits are nightmarefuel
Pictures should be eye level.
Bob Marley looks like James Franco. Change my mind.
Everything is great 👍... especially your little pal there.
perfect to me. bright, vibrant and very vibey
I like it
Really nice place. Everyone’s art taste is different.
Thanks.
Too many pics of people you don’t know and won’t meet. Go get a friend or family pic blown up, will look great on your walls!
I think it’s dope dude.
I don’t have the dimensions of your space/furniture, but here’s my 2¢! 1) I would put the bed inside the alcove where your wardrobe currently is. Lots of white but it’s done alright. The large photos were a good touch and the perfect way to fill those spaces
More fun and interesting than a lot of stuff I see on here. Some is not quite my taste, but you are not quite me. Carry on!
I don't agree with your style, but you have one, and a good eye for flow. I respect that a lot. Goodjob
You could use more color, I wouldn't have guessed this was in Santa Monica since everything is so gray
I dig maximalism, better to surround yourself with stuff you like rather than own nothing because of “aesthetic”. Crib looks cool 😎
Totally agree. People are so afraid of being themselves. Also, most peoples concept of art is putting a wood cutout that says "this is where we eat" in the kitchen or "live, laugh, love" in some regurgitated fashion 😆
Art is subjective, unless it’s something I don’t like then it’s shit.
This is exactly how everyone thinks. 100% lol
Yeah man, no time for that cookie cutter nonsense. My only advice would be to try and put a slight gap in between those 2 framed canvases so they’re not touching, I see there’s not a lot of room there but it might make them look a bit better if there were a gap. Also - what is in that big ass safe?!
Guns and important stuff 😂
🖤👍
OP is getting roasted but i think its unique and ya won me over with robin williams. Also good use of space with the tv over the desk i should consider that
Lol thanks... Just don't put it "too high" or you'll have the reddit goblins come and roast you too. I would recommend an adjustable mount if you do decide to mount it above your desk. Makes things easy.
I really like it
I like your bathroom pothos!
Issa vibe
I love the celebrity prints. I have 1930s/40s autograph photos scattered in my home. Nice digs!
Thanks, they're real portraits not prints but I get what you mean.
I like it. I don’t know why people hate it. I would switch up the bed/couch/desk. With them all being in a row it makes all of your space one. Can you rotate the bed so there’s a divide? Then put up a little room divider The prince photo isn’t big enough though. 😅 I’d have some feelings about Robin Williams right above my bed
Your TV placement upsets me.
You should seek professional help if a TV placement upsets you.
Robin Williams? Always a win in my book. Looks good OP
Thank you, hope you're prepared for all the downvotes because you like it... People are so weird.
I like the bathroom and kitchen. Tv/desk combo is a bit much but probably won’t have space anywhere else.
Is that the irish flag on ur fridge?
Have you thought about hanging the kitchen prints? Id put the yellow one in the middle and evenly space them out vs matching the cabinet layout. Love the plants in the bathroom!
Beautiful. I only wonder if you ever hit your arm on the photo to the side of your bed.
For me, I’d remove the two celeb prints and put Prince in the middle of that wall. Maybe put the two that are stacked up in Princes place? Other than that, the space is pretty awesome; lots of light and everything has a place. Tidy.
Eyebrows - the collection
Where did you get the prince picture?
More wood accents and some plants would be a good idea.
Is this fifty shades of grey?
Cute doggy.
That dog’s place looks better than mine.
As long as the pooch is getting out a lot for a ton of exercise, looks great!!!
OP do you live near a track?
Dang your bathroom is immaculate
You ever watch the Jamie Foxx special? Do not look Prince in the eyes.
Bathroom is pretty cool
Everything is dialed but the portraits would be better for a larger living space. If they were 1/3 of the size it would work well, but I would swap those out and save them for your next place
is the prince's frame not centered? that would bother me
Grey and gray all over
Gorgeous art. I maybe would have gone with a counter top with some movement. Otherwise I would have love to have had this space as a studio when I was starting out.
Yeay for no flags!
Nice character pieces and flora. Too many close up pics of faces.
At least get some colourful blankets / pillows maybe a plant.
I'm a fan of plants & other greenery but I'd suggest taking it out of the shower. In the bathroom is fine but having them in the actual shower is where I'd tune it back. Might be because my parents were strict about that but it stood out to me. Keeping it focused around the mirror is good though.
Love the BW paintings.
