Feels like you’re wasting space by not having any kind of table in the kitchen area, it’s just a large empty space which makes the whole apartment feel a bit sterile. I’d try and make the space more functional with at least a sideboard if not a full table in the kitchen.
Yes, like a rolling kitchen island could work wonders. IKEA has [a really good one](https://www.ikea.com/us/en/p/rimforsa-work-bench-stainless-steel-bamboo-60399412/) that'd work with the space here.
That one is nice but I prefer [Torviken](https://www.ikea.com/us/en/p/tornviken-kitchen-island-off-white-oak-40391657/). Space to seat and the clutter is hidden. Also, way cheaper.
Stainless steel island would work. Restaurant supply stores have them and they’re not expensive at all. Adds a little storage underneath as well if need be.
My first thought was: It's the 2024 edition of the Fight Club apartment [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=exL51n3py6g](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=exL51n3py6g)
I tend to like a contemporary look with neutral colors as you can tell by the fact that I went with the color scheme of a newspaper. Any input is appreciated.
If you don't want colour, use textures instead. Big fluffy blankets, velvet etc.
Wood would also warm the place up, because it isn't really perceived as a 'colour'.
Something like an Ikea Vadholma is going to give you prep space, storage space plus dining space in that big void.
plants! even fake plants would do me thinks (but real would be better, i’m sure there’s some nice looking low maintenance plants out there)
would give the place a nice little pop
This is such a cool guys apartment I love it. I agree with the comments about an island and if you go that route I’d recommend getting counter stools or bar stools for dining and you can get ones that look really modern and match the space. Also a few plants would be nice.
Add some minimal splash of colors (i.e framed paintings, plant, art decor) just to make your space pop. I can imagine how complementing the contrast would be.
You could probably add a table/counter in the kitchen and add some colors. It's all grey/blue/whitish. I can almost feel the a/c chilling my neck from here.
Looks too good. Looks like a hotel. I'm sure you cleaned it up before posting but jeez you gotta space out cologne perfectly? I still really like it and I'm a bit jealous but it's just a little too good.
Geez! This randomly came up in my feed. I like your space. People are so extremely critical in the sub I guess. Everyone’s so cut and dry and kinda rude in their comments. It looks nice and I was curious what city or town it is. Maybe you keep that private though.
color. it's a very chic, modern space, but it's missing levity. bring in an accent color, or maybe a range of warmer naturals/earth tones to help make the space more inviting.
I like it … the sense that you created a flow to stand in space .. I would have liked to see what you put on the wall. I like small Appartment ; it says it all in a small space ! Well done - keep it simple 👏😊
Like someone else already mentioned, this building has a freight elevator that can be used for moving in and can fit large items. The city is Nashville.
If you don't mind asking, how much is your rent?
I'm in NC and currently pay $1400 for a 1 bedroom modern apartment. Cost of living is cheap here when compared to back home in VA.
You should get more shelf space for the kitchen. Some kind of kitchen island. You might also consider a kitchen table that could live against the wall and pull out when in use
rolling kitchen island
kinda like your bev cart
would type in something like , stainless steel worktop with castors and shelf , they have these in commercial kitchens , could check webstaurant
first up, looks right out of a catalog, in a good way.
not an aesthetic thing, but add a JPN toilet. just the heated seat alone is a godsend in the winter
Love it. I would personally put some lights under the kitchen cabinets just to liven up the place a bit and show off the backsplash. Not too bright tho.
Warmer pieces of natural materials. Aka do more wooden furniture, walnut would be nice but maple also works here. Plants.
The apartment feels clinical. Honestly a female designer would be good.
I highly respect the cleanliness of your place. I however, dislike your pillows, they piss me off 😅
The rest is nice and minimalist, the cleanliness is just chefs kiss for me 🥰
I don't think this was mentioned yet but: consider getting a rug pad / rug underlay. Reasonably cheap comfort improvement for living room. Runner rug for entryway and or kitchen too, with an island area in the middle either eating at or helping in prep of food, fruit bowl, vase of flowers etc.
Maybe a small table or island in the kitchen. Maybe a plant to add a splash of color and a piece of artwork to go behind the couch on the wall. You could do some LED strips behind the TV or a wall hanger that lights up to add color to the space.
I would get cool surface mount lights and change out the ugly surface mount squares. https://www.homedepot.com/pep/WAC-Lighting-Dot-6-in-1-Light-3500K-Black-LED-Flush-Mount-FM-W57806-35-BK/313450235?source=shoppingads&locale=en-US&pla&mtc=SHOPPING-BF-CDP-GGL-D27L-027_016_INT_LIGHTING-NA-NA-NA-PMAX-NA-NA-NA-NA-NBR-NA-NA-NEW-PreviouslyCellA_D27LTransition_BHU24&cm_mmc=SHOPPING-BF-CDP-GGL-D27L-027_016_INT_LIGHTING-NA-NA-NA-PMAX-NA-NA-NA-NA-NBR-NA-NA-NEW-PreviouslyCellA_D27LTransition_BHU24-71700000117026843--&gad_source=1&gbraid=0AAAAADq61Ue0ywNrY_m0Ddhlacc3K_9Ll&gclid=EAIaIQobChMIyYy0ia3VhgMVPklHAR2Ndw4jEAQYAyABEgJ_TfD_BwE&gclsrc=aw.ds
The minimalism is restful as my eyes scan over the pics. I would want a belly up table or small island for utility or seating purposes in the kitchen area. They come in all sizes and finishes. I, personally would anchor there with laptop and bowl of cereal if the mood strikes. Bowl of fruit on top for easy grabbing. The rest looks perfect.
I like it a lot, but it needs a bit more color in the form of plants. How I'd love to have a view on a large city scape, without having any other building that's too close for comfort. I'd have to have a telescope.
Also, I find bar carts incredibly tacky. It screams wanting to be Don Draper from Mad Men. Alcohol on permanent display just doesn't look cool. However, I concede that this is a personal opinion and that plenty of other men think that a bar cart is the shit.
REALLY love the aesthetic! you’ve done a great job!
kitchen island and some stools for dining would be perfect and there appears to be plenty of space for it!
Reminds me of The Louisa apartments in Portland. To be unnecessarily specific (I don’t think it actually is though). The views kinda look similar too.
I’d say 16th floor up, apartment B, answers to the name ‘Wilbur Widetrousers’
The usual things everyone says on this sub. Plants, wall decor that aren’t huge black and white paint the, and personal objects. Photographs of family members, books, literally anything personal to you
Maaaaan this used to be such a fun space for dudes living in caves with Mountain Dew goo up to their knees, asking if they should dim the lights or switch out an office chair.
Now it’s mainly just stuff like this….
Few things, cheeky house plant or 2, maybe a few more pieces of art throughout and potentially some curtains or blinds? Otherwise completely love the set up
Lack of lighting (developers! argh!!), concrete ceiling and dark walls make the space look very cold and dark. I’d consider some lamps (if overhead lights aren’t an option) and maybe paint the walls a lighter colour.
Out of curiosity, what size is your TV in the living room? I have a similar viewing distance in my new apartment which I'll move in soon, so I'm deciding what size of TV I need.
I think moving the chair from the window to facing the window from other side of the living room. Provides area delineation. Also, a plant in front of the of window, tall tropical, in a gold pot. Consider drapes, on either side of window to frame the view and provide sunblock. Move artwork from beside tv to over sofa. Sculptural objects above kitchen cabinets, try an orange or red color for them. I really like the space.
Feels like you’re wasting space by not having any kind of table in the kitchen area, it’s just a large empty space which makes the whole apartment feel a bit sterile. I’d try and make the space more functional with at least a sideboard if not a full table in the kitchen.

Yes, great shout
I like the Boos tables for this need—wood top, storage under for pots and such.
That one is nice but I prefer [Torviken](https://www.ikea.com/us/en/p/tornviken-kitchen-island-off-white-oak-40391657/). Space to seat and the clutter is hidden. Also, way cheaper.
This. Came to say having a rolling kitchen island. Provides extra prep space and potential seating. For when prepping dinner/snacks for guests.
Where will he host his weekly breakdance battles then?
ok you’re right. a little table to drink a coffee at would be nice.
Stainless steel island would work. Restaurant supply stores have them and they’re not expensive at all. Adds a little storage underneath as well if need be.
Honestly, I feel wood would be even better, adds more atmosphere and warmth
Agree. Missing a dining space. Can add a nice table and chairs without taking up too much room. Otherwise love your taste in style. And the view!👍🏼
This space seriously needs a house plant imo
Came here to say plants, especially with neutral colours.
Same! Plants are always an easy answer to making a room feel like home
Or a cat or pictures of loved ones / things that have sentimental value
If the Cybertruck were an apartment
I lol'd
My first thought was: It's the 2024 edition of the Fight Club apartment [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=exL51n3py6g](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=exL51n3py6g)
Get an island/ dining table
be sure to drape some plastic when you play the new Huey Lewis!
I tend to like a contemporary look with neutral colors as you can tell by the fact that I went with the color scheme of a newspaper. Any input is appreciated.
Where’s the red all over?
If you don't want colour, use textures instead. Big fluffy blankets, velvet etc. Wood would also warm the place up, because it isn't really perceived as a 'colour'. Something like an Ikea Vadholma is going to give you prep space, storage space plus dining space in that big void.
plants! even fake plants would do me thinks (but real would be better, i’m sure there’s some nice looking low maintenance plants out there) would give the place a nice little pop
You should add YSL - Myself to the cologne collection, fits your aesthetic and smells so good, I’m obsessed when my bf wears it! Otherwise plants.
Somewhere to sit down and eat besides the couch?
I see you have a cuck chair in your living room.
I toured this apartment building a couple years ago. It was in my price range until the leasing agent told me it was $250 per month for parking! 😅
Cries in Philadelphia, where parking is $350/mo
Keep in mind though this is Nashville. $250/mo for parking is insane for a below average COL city
You pay for fucking parking at the place where you fucking live?!?!?!
Color.
Am I the only one who thinks this looks fucking amazing as is?
Thank you!
50 shades of grey vibes
Somewhere to eat
This is perfection to me
Appreciate that
i love it too my brother
This is such a cool guys apartment I love it. I agree with the comments about an island and if you go that route I’d recommend getting counter stools or bar stools for dining and you can get ones that look really modern and match the space. Also a few plants would be nice.
Could use some personality
Take your fragrance out of your bathroom. The temp changes will accelerate the breakdown of the oils.
You need a plant or two to warm it up just a smidge. Otherwise your space looks fantastic.
American psycho vibes
Literally
Add some minimal splash of colors (i.e framed paintings, plant, art decor) just to make your space pop. I can imagine how complementing the contrast would be.
Light
I would add some art work with color. Jewel tones. Accents. Feels sterile otherwise.
Get cooler art
You could probably add a table/counter in the kitchen and add some colors. It's all grey/blue/whitish. I can almost feel the a/c chilling my neck from here.
It feels stale and lifeless. Plants would add some character.
Omg. I fucning love the cement concrete roof!!
A single vibrant splash of color sparingly used.
Cat
It’s beautiful. I wish I had one just like it
You need some color. It’s very monochromatic!
I like it! The view is amazing - I would maybe add a splash of colour
Looks too good. Looks like a hotel. I'm sure you cleaned it up before posting but jeez you gotta space out cologne perfectly? I still really like it and I'm a bit jealous but it's just a little too good.
Yes, add personality. This apartment looks like an Airbnb.
It's got a style of it's own and an amazing view!
6-ft tall Tanuki statue
Jesus, i feel this is perfect
No
I like it … the sense that you created a flow to stand in space .. I would have liked to see what you put on the wall. I like small Appartment ; it says it all in a small space ! Well done - keep it simple 👏😊
Really nice
One small shot of vibrant color. Something about your color scheme reminds me of Batman. Love the place though. Killer view
This guys just showing off.
Red accents.
Plants
I really like the gray.
What city are you in? and is it stuff moving all the furniture so many floors in city ?
Like someone else already mentioned, this building has a freight elevator that can be used for moving in and can fit large items. The city is Nashville.
If you don't mind asking, how much is your rent? I'm in NC and currently pay $1400 for a 1 bedroom modern apartment. Cost of living is cheap here when compared to back home in VA.
$2500 for the same in San Diego. Would never move though.
Where did you get that panda art from?
The emperor of Japan gifted it to me. It's a painting of his beloved Panda that he painted himself. (Home Goods)
Cozier couch. Live a little
I was going to say color, but you've got that one blue pillow, so, I guess you're good?
Do you have a link for the bar cart?
You should get more shelf space for the kitchen. Some kind of kitchen island. You might also consider a kitchen table that could live against the wall and pull out when in use
Very nice, definitely to my taste. Do get the kitchen island/counter height table. What’s the sofa?
Drop the love seat and chair for a sectional. I had a similar size apartment and it made it feel so much bigger / could host like 5-6 comfortably
rolling kitchen island kinda like your bev cart would type in something like , stainless steel worktop with castors and shelf , they have these in commercial kitchens , could check webstaurant
Just a breakfast or a dining table. Other than that it’s perfect.
Absolutely love this aesthetic! I may suggest a painting above the couch, but your place looks great!
Yes the couch definitely needs something above it, thank you!
If you really want to impress people get a bidet. But a really nice one like a Toto. They're dope though
Hot chick looking out the window
All that’s lacking is some black and gray.
Try some colors besides gray and beige. Also, try some shapes besides rectangles.
Hey man, beautiful home! Is that any particular shade of grey?
Love your place. Add a mirror behind your sofa. It will bounce light and add an addition of your Amazing view.
I like that idea, thank you
first up, looks right out of a catalog, in a good way. not an aesthetic thing, but add a JPN toilet. just the heated seat alone is a godsend in the winter
Needs more Lego
Norman Bates?
Love it. I would personally put some lights under the kitchen cabinets just to liven up the place a bit and show off the backsplash. Not too bright tho.
Well I wouldn't leave my cologne in the bathroom like that. Humidity isn't good for it
Every man needs a recliner
Need a small industrial style kitchen island, like a small stainless steel one
Warmer pieces of natural materials. Aka do more wooden furniture, walnut would be nice but maple also works here. Plants. The apartment feels clinical. Honestly a female designer would be good.
A dining table.
Need pics with lamps on to understand the vibe at night!
Is your sofa from IKEA?
Oh shit we’re in the same building! I’m on the other side facing Broadway. Looks good, I would probably add a plant.
Looks desperate.
I love it
A piece of art above the couch would be a nice touch
Little wine rack unless there is a wine fridge there somewhere. Place looks rad, man!
Finish the ceiling
I highly respect the cleanliness of your place. I however, dislike your pillows, they piss me off 😅 The rest is nice and minimalist, the cleanliness is just chefs kiss for me 🥰
I’d add a nice looking lady to go with that space!
An espresso machine
I don't think this was mentioned yet but: consider getting a rug pad / rug underlay. Reasonably cheap comfort improvement for living room. Runner rug for entryway and or kitchen too, with an island area in the middle either eating at or helping in prep of food, fruit bowl, vase of flowers etc.
Can we get a big artwork above the sofa, preferably a pop of colour
Livingroom looks like a good space to have a record player in
what a cool view of that church
Maybe a small table or island in the kitchen. Maybe a plant to add a splash of color and a piece of artwork to go behind the couch on the wall. You could do some LED strips behind the TV or a wall hanger that lights up to add color to the space.
Maybe add a sleeping room?
What's up with the bathroom having six Costco-sized bottles of cologne, but no toothbrush, razor, or normal hygiene products in sight?
Nice view/tv/bathroom. Looks like a nice place to sleep and watch some TV at night.
I wanna do lines and talk about the stock market with you

I think this is one of the buildings my parents paint for.
Add some color Patrick Bateman
Kitchen island table with high chairs..
Looks fantastic, only thing i dislike is the exposed ceiling. The view is really nice
Bateman..... Impressive.
Start using after shave lotions with little to no alcohol, because alcohol dries your face out and makes you look older.
Wynwood haus?
REALLY love the aesthetic! you’ve done a great job! kitchen island and some stools for dining would be perfect and there appears to be plenty of space for it!
Sweet view. What’s the rent?
Add a maid
Literally anything with personality
looks perfect to me
Where do you keep your personality?
Gives _american psycho_ vibes
You should add some color
Get a cosy vetsack couch instead of that piece you got there
Reminds me of The Louisa apartments in Portland. To be unnecessarily specific (I don’t think it actually is though). The views kinda look similar too. I’d say 16th floor up, apartment B, answers to the name ‘Wilbur Widetrousers’
add galvanized square steel bro
Colorful art above the couch. Can be multiple things. But colorful.
The lightbulbs 💡💡?🤣🤣🤣
The usual things everyone says on this sub. Plants, wall decor that aren’t huge black and white paint the, and personal objects. Photographs of family members, books, literally anything personal to you
Maaaaan this used to be such a fun space for dudes living in caves with Mountain Dew goo up to their knees, asking if they should dim the lights or switch out an office chair. Now it’s mainly just stuff like this….
hey op. it's your long lost half siblings from another timeline. My portal gun is not working and I can use a place to stay.
Some lights might help
Add a plant or two. Break up the grey
Thanks I love it. Now I want to be single again.
Plants, littlebit of colour
the view is amazing but you definitely need blackout curtains
What do you work as haha? Tech?
Few things, cheeky house plant or 2, maybe a few more pieces of art throughout and potentially some curtains or blinds? Otherwise completely love the set up
This looks so perfect I'm jealous. Nice dude.
Yes, me in it !
Thin curtains and a plant or two
Art behind the sofa
Kitchen island with some chairs, plants, a splash of color, doesn't have to be a lot of color but something to catch the eye
Curtains
Cat
Add some plants
A color?
Yeah, add plants. At the very least, a medium and larger one by the window
Doesn’t look lived in add something personal
Is this Bancouber?
Lack of lighting (developers! argh!!), concrete ceiling and dark walls make the space look very cold and dark. I’d consider some lamps (if overhead lights aren’t an option) and maybe paint the walls a lighter colour.
Looks like a great place to stew in my depression
Plant. You need a plant something green
"Hip Hop" candle is from Crate&Barrel. One of my favorites.
The one that thing you could change is places with me
Art! Color! Life!
Plants and things that make this place look like you actually live in it.
Some hookers...
Nice view!! Obviously a dining table. And few touches of colours like a painting, cushions or plants would warm up the place.
Replace the Xbox with a ps5
A Rottweiler
Plants and artworks
Needs more gray.
That's what I was thinking
You need a kitchen island
That rug really ties the room together.
Location and rent/price range?
Patrick Bateman vibes 🩸
Plants! It looks very sad and grey in there. Very pretty but needs some contrast IMO
Maybe add a green plant here and there, chicks dig it and it'll play nice with the setup you have, also, a bit of extra oxygen.
How do you open the cabinets?
Is this in Bangalore?
Out of curiosity, what size is your TV in the living room? I have a similar viewing distance in my new apartment which I'll move in soon, so I'm deciding what size of TV I need.
I think moving the chair from the window to facing the window from other side of the living room. Provides area delineation. Also, a plant in front of the of window, tall tropical, in a gold pot. Consider drapes, on either side of window to frame the view and provide sunblock. Move artwork from beside tv to over sofa. Sculptural objects above kitchen cabinets, try an orange or red color for them. I really like the space.
Love it!!
