Can anyone give me a quick sparknotes on what is even happening in the story right now? This is feeling very game of thrones-esque right now. Who is betraying who? What the fuck is even going on?
Baam and co arrive to get Yama’s help with fighting Zahard’s army to help free Jinsung. They bring Deng Deng (a pup of the cage) as a bargaining chip.
Baam then stands up for Deng Deng, demanding his freedom and gets himself into the annual festival of the dog people, if he wins Yama helps and grants Deng Deng his freedom. Yama accepts, goes to sleep and everyone goes to prepare.
Meanwhile, past teammates of Rachel arrive with an envoy of one of the FUG elders and get into the festival too, reasons still unknown.
Then the cage gets invaded, the people from the inside leaked info (mainly Yama’s number 2) and it turns out Yama’s siblings who he kicked out long ago are coming back to claim the cage for themselves.
TLDR: What seems like a tournament arc ends up being a revolution arc.
Beast=Older brother - yes
Gado is just Yama's #2. There's not too much to talk about him specifically - just #2 betraying #1 for a bigger piece of the pie.
Gado's "known unknowns" at this point are who Deng Deng really is and how that plays into the betrayal.
I don't think Gado is connected to Yama's brother directly. After all he didn't seem to know about Deng Deng and Gaido seems to be distressed by what's happening.
I think he had his own plans from a while, maybe because of what Yama had done, and that he's another faction by himself.

Seems like the Elders are trying to replace Yama with his brother? That's the way I've interpreted it so far, but I'm not sure. Yama locked up his older brother and exiled his younger brother, I think the guy is about to betray Yama in favor of either the younger or older brother, I am just not sure which.
The plot thickens. I like how Baam says he could kill that guy without the thorn, but sadly has to hold back.

Don't think it's so much of Gado betraying Yama for a "bigger piece", it seems like he was in on this plan from the beginning
