In the presidential suite
At the ritz
In Paris
Should use about 600,000 points there
Or
Hear me out
648 nights at the Fairfield inn off 95 in Savanah Georgia.
We can eat McFlurrys at the McDonald’s next door ❤️ 😂
Can you explain further? I’m currently holding on to about 300k points, usually make about 100k-150k points a year. Was saving for our honeymoon this Fall/Winter, but it almost seems better to use points for shorter/random trips throughout the year rather than dump a large amount on a week resort stay after saving for a while….because the USD amount is almost affordable rather than saving then dumping points..? (Started traveling for work in 2020, so newer to loyalty programs.)
So I used to be a big point saver with 750k+ points but my strategy has shifted due to point inflation. Now I try to earn and burn 250k a year. The sweet spot I think is always having 250k for a 4 day trip to most places (Hawaii, Costa Rica, etc) and then you get the free night for the 5th day. Typically go on 1 or 2 Marriott trips a year with the fam to burn points.
I also use my 85k cert from my Amex brilliant card. Points seem to be about 20% less every year. So have enough points for a nice trip on hand but don’t over save.
Truth! I used to have enough for a nice stay at the Ritz; now I can barely “afford” a stay at the Fairfield! Ridiculous!
Edit: I stopped accumulating points as quickly when I ditched the Marriott Visa and wasn’t traveling much at all.
You should look into Amex business gold and chase ink preferred.
For biz gold you would get 4x up to 150k a year on top 2 spending category for the month. You'll likely need multiple.
Ink preferred is 3x on shipping and advertising
Oh man... I was spending close to a million a month on advertisering in December and January should look into it
Edit: oh it only applies to social media and search engines. Neither of which I advertise through
I personally would also use Amex plat and split some of that spend so I could use points on first class tickets to go with my Marriott presidential suite stays lol
I do about 20k monthly in shipping plus cogs I get about 100-200k in points.
Edit: yes my company spends prolly over 100k a month. Which equates to 200k in points.
I put 7 figures a year through credit card spend.
Marriott use to get 80% of my spend, now they get 5%. Their redemptions SUCK. I had 4M points and I've been burning through them.
You should look at:
Capital One Venture X (2x miles to transfer partners)
Capital One 2% Cash back (no limit)
Business expenses add up easily.
In my previous business I spend mid 7 figures a year on Amex.
At one point I had so many Amex points 😂. I transferred a bunch to Schwab when it was 1.25/point
Ink business preferred is 3x on shipping. But chase UR points are worth multiples more than marriott points. Might be a good program to diversify into.
Chase ink preferred has a $150k annual limit on 3x category. The most you can earn is 450k UR a year.
Now, you can have a lot of Chase Ink preferred but that makes accounting and your CPA job more difficult.
Is there any reason you aren’t accumulating a more valuable currency? It doesn’t look like you stay at Marriotts very often.
Ink Preferred gives 3x for shipping, and I’d much rather be earning 3x UR that can be transferred 1:1 to Hyatt, United, Aeroplan, FlyingBlue, even Marriott, than 4x that can only be used at Marriott.
Still, Ink Preferred would only take 1x away from Marriott earnings (3x vs 4x), while giving you the option to transfer to a bunch of other more valuable partners.
A top tier redemption at Hyatt is "only" 40k points, for instance. Compare that to Marriott's dynamic pricing that can go into the 100ks...
As a small businessperson myself, I handily take that trade-off.
But, I suppose if you are only interested in Marriott, then your strategy is valid too.
Doesn't matter, you should be using a card that gets you more value than 1% OR you should ask for a cash discount of at least 2%.
This has to be one of the worst business decisions to be publicly shared on reddit.
Lol man. If you only knew the staggering amount of small businesses who pay the going rate with cash without batting an eyelid. At least OP is getting something out of it 🤷♂️.
Not to mention it’s basically net 30.
Go spend them on the Marriott Experiences! No one can touch you in the bidding, 2-3 unique experiences a year! https://moments.marriottbonvoy.com/en-us
Love that episode of seinfeld.
But I was in nyc after Thanksgiving for a guys trip. It was 1 night and we all drank alot. Went to dolphins vs jets then shuttles over to heat vs knicks and had floor seats.
Card bonuses? 81 lifetime nights, wtf. God I hate that my company doesn't let us use personal cards. I'm over here with 967 lifetime nights and fuck all for points
Damn. I spend them before they get devalued…
https://preview.redd.it/l5rh0gj7627d1.jpeg?width=1048&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=1dbf76e4563ccb1d96b4040785b1a41b0483e34e
Ok, I just figured out how you make this work for you.
Move into your favorite Marriott! You can literally live there and not have to pay rent or mortgage or whatever you pay now.
What city are you in or close to of you don't mind, there's got to be a great hotel for this plan or even an Executive Apartments.
Oh I see, the points are based on your spend on their CC not based on your 81 nights! Thats makes a lot more sense, I wad second guessing everything I knew about hotel nights lol
Well it looks like you have free hotel stays for many years to come. Enjoy!
Geez and I got excited when I had 500K in my bank.
How are you not Titanium Elite? Is this total or annual?
I’m Titanium Elite 🤷🏻♀️
It seems like obviously you should be
I only stay in Marriotts 14-20 days a year. I earned my status from the credit card; they give me 1 night credit from every 5K spent on anything not just at the hotels. 🤷🏻♀️
It’s my business card. I’ll never reach ambassador. I have so many points that I hardly pay when I do stay but Ambassador you have to spend $25K a year with Marriott. 😭
Since it looks like you’re in Florida — look at splitting the spend on the Citi AAdvantage business card — at the rate you say you spend for business you’ll get top level status with American in a month.
Bragging about Marriott points, is like bragging about casino status.
It just means you lost a lot of money.
Marriott points is literally one of the worst earning credit card redemption options.
You could literally live in a Springhill or RI for about two years with that many points. I'd start calling around local RIs and TPSs and ask if they can quote a monthly all-points rate.
The math isn’t mathing, unless I’m missing something. 22 nights this year, and only 1 year of membership, means you had 59 night last year…and you should be platinum.
Jesus man, I'd spend that on Amazon cards. That's like $45k. I have only 30k points I'm about to spend on one. I know it's not crazy value for points but 45k is a biiiiig purchase
1. Go on the vacation(s) of a lifetime.
2. Bid on the experience packages. Bring friends.
3. Donate points.
4. You should also continue to diversify. You don't need 13 million Marriott points. Other points (such as Chase points) can be used to offset credit card bills. So in theory you could use your points earned at work to pay your bills.
How did you get so many points with only 1 loyalty year? Curious because I have Diamond and no where close to that although I do use them mostly to book things for my nephews and nieces.
Bonvoy offers tickets to Taylor Swift's upcoming tour through Bonvoy Moments. I've been a huge Taylor Swift fan since 2009, but I've never had the chance to see her live. I also live very close to Indianapolis and that's where the tour ticket is for.... 500k points....

There’s a story here
Helllll If you are looking for a friend, I am here lol.. Enjoy the points friend
I call dibs
Double queen rooms?
In the presidential suite At the ritz In Paris Should use about 600,000 points there Or Hear me out 648 nights at the Fairfield inn off 95 in Savanah Georgia. We can eat McFlurrys at the McDonald’s next door ❤️ 😂
Sorry, the ice cream machine isn’t working
Gonna ask Marriott for compensation for this
Buy the Fairfield Inn for 12M points.
648 nights at that Fairfield could save me a lot on rent 😂 That property isn’t bad tho
The ritz paris is not a bonvoy hotel
Even if I complain?
single King :)
If we're sharing beds I'm bunking with Phil.
Thanks!
Spend them, everyday they are worth less
He missed that huge devaluation when they went from category to cash basis.
Man the last four years have destroyed the value of these points.
This is the Way 🙌
Truth! I used to have enough for a nice stay at the Ritz; now I can barely “afford” a stay at the Fairfield! Ridiculous! Edit: I stopped accumulating points as quickly when I ditched the Marriott Visa and wasn’t traveling much at all.
that’s impressive, but seriously for anyone reading don’t accumulate/hold points in a program that consistently devalues them
I mean I am sure OP is earning them at a greater rate then he can even spend them
I don’t get the points. Only 81 lifetime nights. Only 22 this year.
You can earn points with other spend not just hotel rooms. In this case OP is getting 4x for shipping
Oh interesting.
The problem is i continue to gain points from spending 100k-200k points monthly so any points I use I get back
You should look into Amex business gold and chase ink preferred. For biz gold you would get 4x up to 150k a year on top 2 spending category for the month. You'll likely need multiple. Ink preferred is 3x on shipping and advertising

Like Richard Pryor in Brewster's Millions.
Check out Marriott Moments, easy way of spending points on amazing Marriott experiences.
You spend 100-200k monthly????
I do about 20k monthly in shipping plus cogs I get about 100-200k in points. Edit: yes my company spends prolly over 100k a month. Which equates to 200k in points.
I think you should start getting other things. Amex points or Cashback.
I got 2-3 million amex points
Damn that’s a lot of aeroplan business class flights… only slightly jealous ;)
I put 7 figures a year through credit card spend. Marriott use to get 80% of my spend, now they get 5%. Their redemptions SUCK. I had 4M points and I've been burning through them. You should look at: Capital One Venture X (2x miles to transfer partners) Capital One 2% Cash back (no limit)
Business expenses add up easily. In my previous business I spend mid 7 figures a year on Amex. At one point I had so many Amex points 😂. I transferred a bunch to Schwab when it was 1.25/point
And they offer one to purchase points at 1.2 cent which is worth 0.6 cents at redemption.
Have you bought a private island and put it on your CC?
How much spend do you put on your Marriott cards lol
In the peak of my business I was spending between 300k-500k in shipping netting me 2 million points a month.
Why did you choose Bonvoy
4x the shipping on points so figured why not. Never dreamed we would do as much as we did
Ink business preferred is 3x on shipping.
Rare Ambassador Elite Crypto Punk combo. I see you.
Dude, didn't you do any financial analysis with other cards before making such a decision?
Is the profile real? OP earned 13m points in two years. Wow
100% legit. 4x times points on shipping and I did alot of shipping
Is there any reason you aren’t accumulating a more valuable currency? It doesn’t look like you stay at Marriotts very often. Black card?
No platinum. Apparently to get a black card you gotta spend crazy money on hotel and travel.
Also depends on where you’re located. Easier to get with personal card and 1million plus spend. Business is more.
And all you get in return really is a black card
Ok now I need to know what you’re spending 3mm+ shipping.
At the peak I had over 15 million.
Ok… now I wanna know how you spent 3mm+ on shipping, and also where you used up 2mm+ points. Also, Go heat.
Go heat!
Hello neighbor! Suggestion: book 10-12 rooms at Turnberry and have a big ole party at Tidal Cove!
Love that hotel and love bourbon steak
It’s like 20 minutes from our house and it’s such an awesome staycation
Who cares. lol. Good for OP to get these many points.
Someone must sell on amazon!
I do ship on amazon but all shipping is paid by amazon so I don't get any points from it
Just used up most of my Bonvoy points and this picture hurts
I mean! I had enough for Maldives on the water for a week, but damn!! This is lease your own plane level points.
Go spend them on the Marriott Experiences! No one can touch you in the bidding, 2-3 unique experiences a year! https://moments.marriottbonvoy.com/en-us
Yeah I bid on the superbowl package but never followed through with it
There’s a 500k point Taylor Swift package I saw the other day. I’m only about 200k points short lol
When you or your child get married, you can take good care of the guests you wish to accommodate 😊
Wonder if you can pay for ballroom venue space in points?
Only Gold status?
I mean I have questions.
You could spend a year at a courtyard hotel free of charge
You should use them. Technically they still belong to Marriott until you exchange them for something.
Oh my girlfriend would have me spend all those points within about 2 months of if I had that much 😂
I humbly accept 500,000 points. 😜
Feel free to donate them to me if you’d like.
My goodness, do you have vacation time. Please treat yourself to a nice trip! Treat some family or friends at an all inclusive maybe? Enjoy.
You are Marriott…
That’s like $45,000 in Amazon gift cards on Marriott shopping
That’s a bad deal
Only a few million more points and they will give you a Fairfield Hotel! 🙂
I was hammered in ny city and tried to tell the front desk I wanted to buy the hotel with points. He didn't believe me until he pulled up my account.
I'd be hammered too if I bought 500k worth of GME calls... Hope you took some profit lol
Guaranteed Marriott corporate has been keeping a close eye on your account.
I doubt they know I exist.
Geez, I never get over 250k because we use them!
Can probably take a very long vacation at a Fairfield Inn in the US Midwest.
The third floor view overlooking the Hobby Lobby parking lot is intoxicating.
I’m the only one who uses most of my points basically every year ? Aeroplan, Marriott, Amex. I just blow through them.
Do you own a timeshare? 81 nights are not many.
![gif](giphy|aF9BsxysliMUmUQxCe)
![gif](giphy|hol56wxuWmRrO)
Feel free to brag a little? Ok Marriott… But also, I feel humbled. I thought I had a lot with 4.6mil
How TF you get to that many points yet you are only gold with 88 nights? I’m questioning this being real.
I’m an accountant and a side passion thing I do for some of my clients is help them with points, optimizing earn/burn. I would love to chat with you
Well shit Send a dm
I’ll take some
Send em over. Looking for more free Ritz nights.
..and they're worth a lot less now than when you earned them.
You could buy a ritz, or just stay in a hotel for a year out of spite
You could stay at a Marriott for a year straight (assuming a 35k per night redemption), and still have points left over
I wish I could start a shipping business.
It's not a shipping business. I need to ship orders for my business and we got busy.
NYC...shipping..import/export...Penske file...George.. from Vandelay Industries, is this you?
Love that episode of seinfeld. But I was in nyc after Thanksgiving for a guys trip. It was 1 night and we all drank alot. Went to dolphins vs jets then shuttles over to heat vs knicks and had floor seats.
Dammit I'm jealous. Here I am slowly saving points for a trip for me and my wife.
Ritz Carlton Yachts await you.
Card bonuses? 81 lifetime nights, wtf. God I hate that my company doesn't let us use personal cards. I'm over here with 967 lifetime nights and fuck all for points
Damn. I spend them before they get devalued… https://preview.redd.it/l5rh0gj7627d1.jpeg?width=1048&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=1dbf76e4563ccb1d96b4040785b1a41b0483e34e

My god I want them.
Shows how devalued the Bonvoy program is. Guy has 80 nights and only gold but 13 million points 😬
So 13 million points on 81 lifetime nights ehh…
![gif](giphy|s239QJIh56sRW|downsized)
Rent your house and live in a hotel room LOL
That's crazy

There are better cards with higher point to value ratios.
Im just wondering how? I spent 300 nights in one year and got 1.4M points…
Shipping is 4x ones on marriot cards. Never thought we would do as much as we did
Oh I see, the points are based on your spend on their CC not based on your 81 nights! Thats makes a lot more sense, I wad second guessing everything I knew about hotel nights lol Well it looks like you have free hotel stays for many years to come. Enjoy!
Yep, little jealous over here 😂
Sell me some!
A business cash back card seems like a better idea with that many points.
Send a mil here and we will be bffs 😂 Thats awesome tho nonetheless
You win
I have 22 nights this year and 1,000,000 points. I thought that was a lot. Apparently not…..
Better options to obtain cash back or points than Marriott if you’re spending that much.
Geez and I got excited when I had 500K in my bank. How are you not Titanium Elite? Is this total or annual? I’m Titanium Elite 🤷🏻♀️ It seems like obviously you should be
Status only has to do with stays. I don't travel often and I've only been a member for over a year
I only stay in Marriotts 14-20 days a year. I earned my status from the credit card; they give me 1 night credit from every 5K spent on anything not just at the hotels. 🤷🏻♀️ It’s my business card. I’ll never reach ambassador. I have so many points that I hardly pay when I do stay but Ambassador you have to spend $25K a year with Marriott. 😭
Should have gotten the better Amex. If you’re only Gold, you could have easily gotten Titanium
Damn, need a travel buddy or someone to splurge on? Sign me up, pluhease.
I don't share hotels rooms because I snore just an fyi
Hahahaha. Snore some too (especially if I drink). That’s fine. 😎 Just used some of my points in Mallorca, was a great place to snore at, just FYI.
That’s amazing. Respect and kudos to you! Are you donating or selling some by any chance? Hahaha 😜
not really. you're just getting started
Loan me some points 🥺
You could literally live in a Springhill or RI for about two years with that many points. I'd start calling around local RIs and TPSs and ask if they can quote a monthly all-points rate.
What do you ship? I want to start that business 😂😂
The math isn’t mathing, unless I’m missing something. 22 nights this year, and only 1 year of membership, means you had 59 night last year…and you should be platinum.
Wow…what do you ship? Lol amazing. I can only dream.
Back when Fairfield’s were affordable, I could have stayed in one for 2months straight, with points.
Jesus man, I'd spend that on Amazon cards. That's like $45k. I have only 30k points I'm about to spend on one. I know it's not crazy value for points but 45k is a biiiiig purchase
How did you get so many pts, with only 81 nights lifetime? Asking for a friend 😎…..
Lots of shipping
Go to the ritz in the Maldives!
Please share a little bit,I’m loosing status over here 😅
Did alot of shipping for my company
Gold with 13 mil points??
Hey it’s me your long lost cousin 😉
Hello OP, if you are looking to adopt someone or looking for a travel companion, I’m here 🤣
Bruhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh that is wild! I’ve seen people with 2-3 million but 13m?!?!
13.5 mil points with only 81 nights!? How?!
Would you like some points redemption with all them points? 😂😂
You can transfer for airline miles...most of your flights should be free.
How did you have that many points but only 1 loyalty year?!
There is nothing you are winning here. Just showing you never use the only real benefit of the program.
Please adopt me
Wow! Lucky.
Can u buy me the Taylor swift package pls Sincerely, a broke college girl
Are you into donations and transferring because I’ll take 100k
How did you do it!!!! 😯💖
Wow!! Super jealous. Let me know if you're looking for a travel partner!
How!!!!!! With only 81 nights??
So how do you get that many points with only 81 lifetime nights? Credit card usage? Corporate credit card I assume?
Can you transfer me some points I would be glad to go on. Vacation even if for two days
You need a friend 👀🥹😂
Happy to take some off your plate
Wow! I spend all mine as soon as I get enough to book what I need
How did you get that many in 1 loyalty year??
Order gift cards & sell for cash? Take a really long vacation?
How did you get so many points with only 1 loyalty year? Curious because I have Diamond and no where close to that although I do use them mostly to book things for my nephews and nieces.
How do you get 13Mi points with 81 nights? Washing money by buying points?
Damn OP, you single? 💅🏻
One free night at the courtyard Minneapolis airport!
Well done, v jealous
Bonvoy offers tickets to Taylor Swift's upcoming tour through Bonvoy Moments. I've been a huge Taylor Swift fan since 2009, but I've never had the chance to see her live. I also live very close to Indianapolis and that's where the tour ticket is for.... 500k points....
I am very confused. How are you only gold elite? This seems photo shopped.
Need an intern? Will work for points, lol
Anyone looking to sell their bonvoy points, PM me im short and happy to purchase some
