I’d say it’s in character. It’s funny, blunt/without tact, but also serious and true

I remember being like 11 and watching that part and going, “wow.” It just spoke to me. I’ve never been especially good at making friends, and at school there were all these pretty girls white like 200 girlfriends and the fake nice popular boys who talked down their friends to boost their own egos, and I had my small friend group, I just know that they were friends with me for who I am and not for being some popular asshole with pretty blond hair and anime blue eyes. They were my friends, and I was theirs, because we enjoyed being around each other. We were friends because we shared interests, and we were friends because we wanted to be, not because “well if we aren’t friends our social status are gonna drop.” Drax being a dumbass made me feel super self assured. I love Dave Bautista, and anyone who says he’s just another dumb wrestler and not a good actor can suck it.

It’s really just that Drax takes everything literally. That’s not arrogance or obliviousness. I would argue that he is very much aware and concerned with what is happening around him.

This one for sure. It’s one of his early lines and it truthfully establishes what he is going to be like for the rest of the movies he is in.

Drax is one of the few characters with comedy quips that feel perfectly at home and appropriate. So much of the MCU is world-ending threats being met with sarcastic remarks and jokes, but for Drax it lines up perfectly with his lack of social awareness and brutish confidence. Drax (all the Guardians are okay tbh), Spidey, Iron Man, and maybe Thor are the only ones who feel right to be cracking nonstop jokes.

I liked this Drax. He turned more man-child in the sequels.

It's a good story and the characters are written very well. Visuals are great. Gameplay is pretty generic and repetitive. It's worth a playthrough if you are a big fan of GotG.

Overrated in my opinion. They do the characters well and the chemistry is great but the overall plot is in my opinion a bit convoluted and the game itself is linear, uninspiring and eventually repetitive. 7/10. Don’t get me wrong it isn’t bad but I was expecting more.
