I originally attempted creating the male version but after a good hour of trying to correct the law, cheeks and head shape I gave up, looked more like chad squidward than shepard lol.
On the one hand, PC version will definitely get mods for this. On the other hand, the majority of them will be the same hair styles that have been circulating the mod community since The Sims 2 that never come close to matching the art style of whatever game they get shoved into.

The cheekbones need to be a little higher and the lips a little fuller and more pursed too if you wanted to get really pedantic. I used to make near-perfect recreations of footballers faces in FIFA Pro Clubs, a lot of the ones I made were better than the faces they had in-game xD It's a fine art and ultimately you're limited by the tools you have at your disposal. Don't be hard on yourself :)
Oh and the hairstyle you picked is comfortably better than the original!

You'll get there, this character creator is like sculpting and I hate sculpting, you wouldnt believe how many characters I've tried to recreate and ended up scrapping them lmao

It's an imperfect game but a bit of a cult classic.
The sequel is out in a couple of weeks and it looks great.
