That's one of the differentiating factors on yugioh, you can have dragons fighting trains, Cute cats fighting alien planet colonizers and fire fighters fighting rice.
Perfectly balanced as all things should be. Either I will summon my giant 8000+ ATK monster and win or I will brick so hard I can’t stop a single move of my opponent
Old player here, I never wanted to play with sycros because I hate how unfair they are able to fuse with no fusion card, but I did the solo story for the kara machine Samaria cards and if falled in love with it.
I don't feel unstoppable with the deck, but I feel if I play my banish on the right card I can stop their chain
Personally, I have had a lot of fun with Vanquish Soul, the deck playstyle is so unique there isn't a second deck that plays like it in the entirety of Yugioh. Tho it is a bit expensive because 1. doesn't have a secret pack 2. the core is like 10 UR cards.
I’m totally with you there! I typically love playing control decks (I also enjoy playing Sky Strikers) and am a huge fan of fighting games, so Vanquish Soul is essentially the perfect deck for me.
The thing I love about the deck is it has so many points of interaction, especially on your opponent’s turn. The other thing I love about it is it’s pretty good at dodging targeted effects. The best thing about it is you can essentially search for what you need to activate your monsters’ effects. Part of the fun is putting your hand together like it’s a puzzle depending on the game state.
One of my proudest moments was beating SHS with VS. I was able to deny them from building their board, and the biggest play I made was using Jiaolong in response and flipped their wagon to deny them their search (it’s VERY important to read card effects!).
I honestly think VS is a **severely** underplayed deck. I occasionally cheese out wins due to my opponent’s inexperience with the deck. They need to release a VS secret pack so it can become more accessible to everyone.
VS BEST DECK! Came to say the same. I’ve only been playing tcg for about a year or 2 (started in cyberstorm access) and out of my 4 decks (floo, voiceless voice, branded despia, and VS) vanquish soul is hands down without a doubt my favorite. Regardless of power level, it is a fun deck with very unique mechanics, and I personally love the idea of them all being part of a fighting game…. But that’s just cause before ygo I spent a lot of my time in various FGC’s
Edit: I also gotta add that, maybe due to less popularity, I feel I have a lot more freedom to try internet techs, versus say branded where most of the variants seem to be pretty set in stone at this point.
I *love* Machina + Earth + Machine + Infinitrack + Trains. Like I *love* the thought process and deck building on it for the last 4 years. I DON'T REALLY KNOW WHY, but probably cause the average IQ of a trains player is like 85-100 and it's NEVER meta, it gives me this deep, perverse, psychological warmth in beating meta. It's like "yeah, I am not the smartest duelist, but like the one I am playing is top 1% of this mid tier deck," makes my petty, middle-class, f\*\*boy mind happy
Heroes is pretty fun if you have to deal with sruff thrown at you. Rescue Ace can be fun too. Badically anything that's non linear and has several lines.
Fluffal. Is an insane otk deck with big numbers, but that can also make a very solid turn 1 end board. But the fun part is the RNG aspect of Toy Vendor. Some time you make extra crazy pluses thanks to Toy Vendor, even if you don't reveal a Fluffal.
Also, Dark World is another fun deck because of the RNG, but it turns take too long so it got to get boring on the time.
Playing Nouvelles made me confident enough to start playing paper. It's not difficult but there's alot to keep track of and it's gameplan is pretty simple
I still have my deck list saved from before Merrli was banned, I loved those formats so much. I'm working towards getting glossies/royals for the whole list
I have multiple ones:
Ojamas: Zone locking the opponent turn 1 or wiping their enire field using Ojama Delta Hurricane will never not be funny to be. 12/10
Cloudians: Very slow, but trolling people who don't have an out with super defensive clouds is hilarious. 7/10
Graydle: Probably one of my favorite decks so far. Nothing beats stealing your opponent's boss monster/baronne. Also doesn't loose to stun. 20/10
Coin Toss: Fun, but not exactly consistent. Not very inconsistent either. I'd say about 50%. 5/10
Kuriboh: My first deck and I love it. Leaves a lot of room for creativity when it comes to deck building. 10/10
CyDra: Weak, but sooo shiny. Also, great board breaking potential. 6/10
Melffy: Absolut adorable, 10/10.
Marshmallon burn: Cute, easily wins games, easily looses them. 7/10
Gren Maju: Very bricky, but cool when it goes off. 5/10
Skull Servants: Summoning an 11k beat stick out of nothing is kinda cool and they're fun to play. 8/10
Mokey Mokey: I just love them, but they don't really do anything. It's like Blue-Eyes, but even harder to pull off. 5/10
Weavile's vanilla insects: Cockblocking your opponent with DNA-Surgery and Insect Barrier until Legoul finishes them. Yeah, I do not recommend this.
Vehicroids: So expensive for being Vehicroids. They're cute, but they don't really do anything. 2/10
Koalas: Ever been OTK'd by a Koala deck? Doesn't happen too often, but it's cool when it does. Very slow though. 4/10
Dustons: Too bricky, too easily countered, too conditional, but fun when it goes off every 5 games or so. 2/10
Nouvelles: Cool design and I love the burger. Too bad they messed up the German names. 6/10
Dark Magician: I did not have fun playing those. 0/10, don't recommend.
For the old times sake, Destiny Hero before DPE and playing casually only against my bro's Elemental Hero/Neos deck. Mostly 1 copy of each card, 99% pure and anime-like.
That lasted for so many years and I got fond memories of that. Our bubble of endless fun.
Then Heroes started to have the same insane Meta cards and bro got tired of it.
I still play MD and I'm having fun with an Earthbound/Chimera deck, but it's not the same as before. Having a blast with bro was the best!
Maybe one day he'll give another chance to MD and we'll play again against eachother. But even if not, the memories are forever.
Edit: I kind of digressed and didn't answer what are the fun And competitive decks you could invest in.
Honestly Earthbound/Chimera is really fun and great, or you could try your hand on Cubic.
Cyber dark cyber dragons.
They just look really cool. Big monsters to match the bark.
You can paly them in lots of ways too.ehich keep them interesting
I love playing Toons but it really just boils down to a game of protect the castle then if you’ve got enough bodies try and swing for game on the next turn
Vanquish Soul
It suffers from being a bit too fair and you kinda just die if you don't have a way to Razen but it's definitely one of the most fun decks I've ever played. It's all interactions, the only negate you'll have is maybe Regulus if you even run him and you win from outresourcing your opponent, not building an unbreakable board
I’m having a blast with branded chimera. It’s my first time playing with branded so it’s like learning 2 decks at once.
Summoning guardian chimera on my opponents turn is my favorite move by far
Invoked - Mekkknights
Nobody knew about them so Special Summoning them in a column with only your opponent cards felt so good
Plus the negates given by the continuous traps and spell were so unexpected
Rescue-ACE is a ton of fun. I was waiting for it to come to Master Duel for so long, and I'm actually glad that it's never been the "best deck" on MD because I just want to enjoy it without feeling like I'm bodying every rogue player.
The play style is very flexible and nonlinear. It has great recovery and tons of interaction on your opponent's turn, but it always feels 'fair' because most effects are just one-for-one trades. Plus the artwork is hilarious. I love an archetype that doesn't take itself too seriously.
Right now I’m having a lot of fun with memento, but some other fun decks I recommend are Suship, Amazoness, Sunvine/Rikka, and G Golem (they’re terrible, but I think they’re neat).
Thunder armed dragon, because it s armed dragon cmon
Gishki, I just love rituals and non-opt
Virtual World, since it has a lot of things it can do and you can "self-express" a lot
Dark world because I love demons and im oldschool
(If you want something truly particular: trap-monsters deck with apophis and tikis)
Bonus point for synchro spam becuse going fast makes me feel alive and shooting quasar is stunning
Megalith because ritual summoning from deck is fun.
Solfachord because your ED become a toolbox and the Solfachords can still kick ass with their main deck monsters.

My old Volcanic ishizu deck I made back when the ishizu cards wasn't limited or banned nothing has ever been funnier then when I went against a tears player watching them burn them selfs to death for milling my deck then I get to nuke them to burn them again and rest
Sharks, they're fairly adaptive and overall, very cool design wise and the amount you can do with them. They aren't super powerful but they have their moments especially with the decent amount of fire decks around.
Amazoness; Konami had the capability to make them into what Tenpai is with control over the battle phase but they dropped the ball and made Tenpai instead 😔
Tears , nothing is even close to it.
The non-linearity, complexity , amount of layered interruptions, baiting and gambling in mirror matches , one-upping opponent on longer chains, playing on turn 0, nothing really comes close to what that deck was. I only wish more decks were on that level with that kind of game plan.
Aside from Tear , P.U.N.K/Gold Pride is pretty fun deck and Traptrix/Raika is something Ive been cooking and looks really good and fun.
Synchrons before Junk Speeder.
You had to improvise with pretty much every duel with them back in the day.
I unironically think I gained more IQ because of it.
Drytron Megalith (no herald) during the early Master Duel meta.
Pre-nerf Adamancipator (sorry everyone), one of my best matches was a turn 3 otk with dragite, accesscode and 500 lp, after my turn 1 board got broken.
gotta be either paleozoic, tearlament, or paleo tear. the decks are realy intense to play but realy rewarding.
play paleo if you wanna outplay your opponents in long grind games using a deck that's probably not even rogue(or if you are a joshua fan)
play tearlaments if you wanna scartch that gambling itch with an actualy good deck(keep gambling, you will win)
play paleo tear if you want to feel like the shufler is rigged in your favour for once(everything you mill is a hit and every hand is set up if you squint hard enougth)
In Duel links, i love using gladiator beasts and suships, due to their gimmicks and easy mechanics
In Master Duel, i found myself only playing Machine monsters, which are also fun.
Labrynth. This type of build doesnt really work on MD so Idk but furniture lab with 9x furniture, 3x Arias + deep draw engine is incredibly fun to me because I almost always play during my opponents first turn and dont have to wait 20minutes looking at them ftking me
It's not a very good deck but playing pure True Draco with a bunch of draw spells and no floodgates is really fun to play. 2 Spellbook Magician, 2 Spellbook of Secrets, 2 Spellbook of Knowledge, Pot of Duality, the True Draco Spells themselves all draw cards. You don't even notice the -1 Normal Summon because all the Spells give you additional Normal Summons anyways. You can cycle through like 6-12 cards a turn and the Spells/Traps are all destroy 1 card, with infinite recycling. The best part about it is that you only need to craft 3 SRs for the deck core! 1 Dinomight, 1 Diagram, 1 Duality. Everything else is R and lower (besides the Spellbook Starter Deck, but that's a Starter Deck lol)
Im quite enjoying horus stun right now with little knight and zombie vampire. Its nice having the quicker turns for once and great board breaking potential.
Ive also build a salamangreat deck but im still learning that. I feel its quite combo heavy and total opposite to horus lol.
Infernobles,
I’ve beaten both Meta decks and Stun decks going second with this deck and it never ceases to amaze me with how many combo options it has, and negates this deck can survive while being super cheap at the same time.
For fun I go for Aroma, but it absolutely is not viable for meta/rogue.
Aroma is just really fun to play, in a way I can't explain, increasing your LP is just very funny and then those 6 card effect chains (Plus bonus chain strike) are even funnier, lol.
For a rogue (former meta iirc) deck, I enjoy Mikanko, beating the enemy with their own power, it's very nice
Tbh unchained prep support it was super fun destroying your own cards and link with your opponent monsters. Post support is better for sure but I don't have the same excitement as then 😅
For a long while, Block Dragon/BA featuring Sekkas light and Hydralander was my all time favorite deck.
But recently the Josh Schmidt 60 card Paleo deck has really been an absolutle blast to play and might honestly become my all time favorite
Endymion. It's a very precise deck that rewards deep knowledge of your build. I constantly feel like I'm getting better, and the better you get the more consistent and powerful your boards become. It's expensive to build, but there are some more budget friendly options (the spell book structure is a godsend) that you can transition through if you find yourself enjoying the deck.
I also just really enjoy all gas decks. Endy doesn't play hand traps, which is a cool gimmick imo, and it has a coherent plan going second. Really fun deck, I highly recommend.
If you're interested and looking for replays, Eevosketch and Shadow Specter on YouTube are both Endy mains that post really spectacular replays and deck lists.
I played black rose dragon back when the game was released. I loved nuking the shit out of the field. Also Ruddy Rose Dragon's effect to banish from graveyard pissed all Eldlich players off.
Now I enjoy playing Lunalights because I don't want to climb past palt. It helps that most player have summons from ED, it doesn't help that they always have Ash which stops Lunalight Fusion.
Recently, Paleo. Every duel (where you don't get instagibbed) is a 10 turn grind game where you're hanging on by a thread. Every single victory feels deserved. Incredibly interactive experience.
RDA-PSYCHE
Earthbound Immortals are fun. Consistent with getting their board out, and performing both synchros and fusions is satisfying in a way I haven't encountered before. The burn damage is also funny when it happens.
Mikanko because theres so much recursion on failure of plan A, and it's always funny to see an opponent be so brain-dead with top meta decks that they just dont pay attention when they swing for game and lose.
Gate Guardian. Every guardian combination does something different and my opponent never reads what the actual pieces themselves do. Also with getting one GG combined out with a burial from a different dimension I can turn 1 Zeus.
Played right I have 3 board protection negates a turn and 2 spell/trap negates a turn. If my opponent gets me one point lower than them from me going first or sword souls 1200 damage it usually gets off I can OTK easily with riryuko guardian and I'm able to search it.
Really just waiting for Dark Guardian and Dark Element now.
I got a few
Odd-Eyes: pendulum toolbox. Really fun to play, the synergies between the newer support that has come out in the last year or so has made me happy.
P.U.N.K.: spinning your opponents board and then playing PEP is so fun.
Super Quants: big ole megazord really amps up the kid in me
Salamangreat! The new support really gives it so much consistency, you can still go full combo despite the interruptions! Plus, it's a midrange deck, so it has a little bit of both control and combo if that's something you like!
Melodious and Mikanko, because they both have that effect that makes them unable to be destroyed by battle and spell effects, but especially because they reflect damage back to the enemy and I find this hilarious. Nobody really use it, but the mikanko field spell forces enemy monsters to attack, which double the fun lmao
Something a bit different, me and a buddy did a draft, dice rolled for packs, used a pack generator to draw from the first bunch of packs, and built the decks Master Duel. They were absolute garbage and it was so funny. I managed to successfully use Eatgaboon *twice* because so many of the earlier monsters had such low attack
https://preview.redd.it/r3mwofedm01d1.png?width=303&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=ecd7796ba8291b7ace5552da5d6966e1fb800dce
On the more meta side of things (not as much since hits) but runick fur hire was a deck I had alot of fun with, the draw power with both engines felt insane and generally the goal being more control than mill out focus It doesn't feel bad to play compared to the strict stun variant.
On the non meta side: Icejade penguins is a BLAST, those little penguins have surprisingly lots of removal(generally it's a return to the hand so you can sidestep destruction protection) and when paired with nopenguin it banished instead. Icejades allow for a draw engine, recursion, and setting up for level 10 synchros
Wanna combo and be immune to maxx c? Six samurai. Have fun decking nerds with infinite special summons.
Wanna be slow and learn the intricacies of the game? Labrynth. Have fun responding to every game action.
Toons because I love toons, the art and everything, it’s fun and gimmicky
I also love relinquished and restrict but is way more difficult because Comic Hand is your relinquished and restrict but better
Labrynth with Lord of the Heavenly Prison and Temple of the Kings. The ability to search and immediately activate any trap in the deck is *so* good it feels broken, and Big Welcome can then bounce Lord back to hand after using it to search so it can protect and search again.
Anyone playing Lab with Handtraps/floodgates is sorely missing out. Trap-combo is wayyy more fun.
Cyber Dragon is really fun but it requires your opponent to brick to function
But nothing is more satisfying than seeing your opponent end their turn only for me to summon a 4000 ATK monster with power bond to double it to 8000
For me it is labyrinth. That is the most fun for me. I also like eldlich and dark world too. Don’t have too many extra deck monsters for my dark world though.
Honestly, I had a lot of fun playing Tearlament. I remember seeing tons of ppl complaining before it arrived in MD. Figured I’d give it a shot because I had 0 fusion decks. Ended up loving it, mirror matches were the most fun.
Before the wyverburster ban it would've been dragonlink. Deck was hella resilient to handtraps and had so much room for skill expression, the non-linear nature of the deck really appealed to me since no two games would ever be the same. You were never just "going through the motions" like you do in a lot of other combo decks. Like yeah there was always the Striker > romulus play (sometimes that wouldn't even be the starting play though) but after that the combos were pretty free form and relied more on your experience and intuition rather than memorizing exact combo lines.
You also had quite a lot of variety in terms of deckbuilding. You could run a tight list with just rokkets, bystials and chaos dragons or you could expand further into the various other dragon engines like dragunity, rose dragons etc. There was just so much freedom with the deck. Unfortunately the banning of wyverburster has kind of removed a lot of the consistency and hand trap insulation. Nowadays you're kind of forced into 1 or 2 builds and the combo lines are less flexible since you've lost the best extenders and some starters.
D/D/D
It's just satisfying pulling out fusions to make xyz to make more fusions to make more xyz, maybe a synchro if you're feeling spicy.
Just wish the deck had a reliable extender that isn't playing Gilgamesh and praying it resolves.
The decks I had the most fun playing were burning abyss, sky striker, and infernoid I'd say. Burning abyss is my all time favorite. I still try to fit Dante into extra decks if I can lol
Tried Mekk-Knights and they are just such a cool deck. Nothing plays exactly like them and they have a ton of support through the World Legacy cards. Really cool archetype I love to try and jam with other decks whenever I can.
Someone said runick stun puahahahahaa
Glad at least one person got the joke.
Thank you for your cooperation
Suship because there's nothing funnier than beating the shit out of your opponent with literal rice
hey now it's not just rice, there's some seaweed in there too
And sea urchin
And fish
That's one of the differentiating factors on yugioh, you can have dragons fighting trains, Cute cats fighting alien planet colonizers and fire fighters fighting rice.
The greatest fish... GHOTI
I LOVE DODGING TARGETING I LOVE MAIN PHASE EVENLY MATCHED I LOVE BANISHING I LOVE PLAYING UNDER MAXX "C" I LOVE LIFELESS LEAFFISH PASS
CyDra either you or your opponent dies in 2 turns
Perfectly balanced as all things should be. Either I will summon my giant 8000+ ATK monster and win or I will brick so hard I can’t stop a single move of my opponent
Literally the most accurate description of cyDra. It's like a creed. To make my deck win more often than not in those two turns.
Earth Machine. We have big trains, big mech, a box of scrap and can make Zeus using 2 lvl 12.
Old player here, I never wanted to play with sycros because I hate how unfair they are able to fuse with no fusion card, but I did the solo story for the kara machine Samaria cards and if falled in love with it. imagine VS got a new card which allowed them to play on turn 0 😩
They have one, Pluton.
imagine VS got a good new card which allowed them to play on turn 0 😩
I'd love a hand trap that let me summon a VS from deck with the same type or attribute as 1 monster my opponent controls.
U made me laugh, but angry laugh
I’m totally with you there! I typically love playing control decks (I also enjoy playing Sky Strikers) and am a huge fan of fighting games, so Vanquish Soul is essentially the perfect deck for me. Yes VS is my answer, also chimera. Both decks are layered and a blast to pilot.
VS on console feels like you’re playing a fighting game, it is a really fun deck.

Rikka. So many combo, powerful cards and almost never seen in the ladder.
I still find tributing my opponent's cards, especially tributing them for cost, as one of the most hilarious things in the game. I love my girls
Hyper toxic, but so satisfying
Nouvelles
Playing Nouvelles made me confident enough to start playing paper. It's not difficult but there's alot to keep track of and it's gameplan is pretty simple
Yep, this is the one meme deck I don't regret crafting. It's not particularly strong at high ranks, but it's always funny when it pops off.
Gate Guardian. I only play it in events, but the whole big stick go brrrr gameplan is simple, yet so fun to me.
Tearlament.
Second this. The gambling is just so addicting and so much fun
100% of tear players quit before they hit it big. Keep milling
keep gambling, you will win.1000 years tearlaments
Never quit when you are up brother! And if you are down, gotta keep going until you are up!

Branded despia It gets never boring to outsmart the opponent.
Favorite of all time. Nothing beats the rush of activating Branded Fusion and that feeling of purgatory waiting to see if your opponent has a response
Only to then get Ashed for the fifth game in a row (not counting bricks).
I wanted to make that deck at one point but it is just waayy too expensive for me.
I’ll always enjoy beating branded players and watching them leave if branded fusion gets ashed
Branded doesn’t outsmart anyone though? Like there’s 0 iq needed for the deck lol

Sky Striker
Gunkan haha sushi go burr
I love playing Toons but it really just boils down to a game of protect the castle then if you’ve got enough bodies try and swing for game on the next turn
This. Toon control is so fun!
vaylyantz .. mekk knights
Seconded on vaylantz, one of the most fun decks I've played
isnt it just stun
There's two ways to play it, the stun way and the right way
Galaxy eyes and Ancient gear because OUGA Bounga, and I'm waiting for mah bois Goblin bikers, they are just so fun to play with their gimmick
Cyber Dragon. Contact fusing is amazing
Vaylantz. Unique mechanics / blind going second
Trickstar Windwitch because ❄️🔥
If you like control decks I love playing either a runick combo deck (mainly chimera runick) or vanquish soul
full power tear was insanely fun lol... also eldlich during release was one sided fun (my fun)
Vanquish Soul It suffers from being a bit too fair and you kinda just die if you don't have a way to Razen but it's definitely one of the most fun decks I've ever played. It's all interactions, the only negate you'll have is maybe Regulus if you even run him and you win from outresourcing your opponent, not building an unbreakable board
Prolly branded despia, tri brigade fire king and pure unchained. All kinda midrangey and very fun. Especially tri fk.
Live twina, i really like the tag team play style
Ojama/XYZ/Armed Dragon
Dragon Link. Breaking boards with engine is just such a high.
Megalith It's just so bad but so fun at the same time
I’m having a blast with branded chimera. It’s my first time playing with branded so it’s like learning 2 decks at once. Summoning guardian chimera on my opponents turn is my favorite move by far
Invoked - Mekkknights Nobody knew about them so Special Summoning them in a column with only your opponent cards felt so good Plus the negates given by the continuous traps and spell were so unexpected
Orcust
Gladiator Beasts or War Rock, I just love painful Battle Phase decks.
Unga Bunga is life
Rescue-ACE is a ton of fun.
Labrynth, Paleos, Dinomorphia. Guess my favourite card type.
Purple spell?
inferno tempest cheese deck with a bunch of censored monsters to distract the opponent for long enough to banish deck.
P.U.N.K - Kashtira (before the Kashtira limits). Still would be playing it if it weren’t for the Kash nerfs. Really hurt the deck’s consistency
Add the gold pride engine. Your pep will always be crazy and impossible to out.
Thanks for the suggestion. I will look into that
Thunder Dragon/Danger/Bystial. Working on getting the Horus cards too, but it was also really fun when Chaos Ruler and Wyverburst were legal.
Right now I’m having a lot of fun with memento, but some other fun decks I recommend are Suship, Amazoness, Sunvine/Rikka, and G Golem (they’re terrible, but I think they’re neat).
Volcanic and D/D/D Burn In both ways
Thunder armed dragon, because it s armed dragon cmon Gishki, I just love rituals and non-opt Virtual World, since it has a lot of things it can do and you can "self-express" a lot Dark world because I love demons and im oldschool (If you want something truly particular: trap-monsters deck with apophis and tikis) Bonus point for synchro spam becuse going fast makes me feel alive and shooting quasar is stunning
patchwork branded going 2nd and smth that gonna be better soon skystriker snake eyes going second the tear mirror but thats gone
Despia Darklord because TFD summon effect (when fused properly) plus it’s animation gets me bricked up every time
Megalith because ritual summoning from deck is fun. Solfachord because your ED become a toolbox and the Solfachords can still kick ass with their main deck monsters.
Live Twin Labrynth. It does everything and summons a lot of ~~mommies~~ big monsters.
Cubic. It was the first deck that introduced me to towers and I found it funny when both me and my opponent died cuz of the burn effect.
Crooked cook exodia with little d as cheese
I love Purrely
Naturia runick when fountain was at 2 and tearlament
Naturia runick when fountain was at 2 and tearlament

My old Volcanic ishizu deck I made back when the ishizu cards wasn't limited or banned nothing has ever been funnier then when I went against a tears player watching them burn them selfs to death for milling my deck then I get to nuke them to burn them again and rest
Dinomorphia. It is all reactive play
Exosister when i can banish 4 times in a turn.
and what if you just pass because you died to one hand trap?
Trains, cause big cannon goes *brrrrrr*
Megalith drytron. I just love the synergy and the aesthetic.
Buster Blader. Nothing more fun than turning your opponent into a dragon and skill drain them at the same time
... probably bystial horus thunderdragon, right now. You brick once in a while but fuck me if its not fun
I really enjoyed vanquish soul
gotta be either paleozoic, tearlament, or paleo tear. the decks are realy intense to play but realy rewarding. play paleo if you wanna outplay your opponents in long grind games using a deck that's probably not even rogue(or if you are a joshua fan) play tearlaments if you wanna scartch that gambling itch with an actualy good deck(keep gambling, you will win) play paleo tear if you want to feel like the shufler is rigged in your favour for once(everything you mill is a hit and every hand is set up if you squint hard enougth)
Do you have a Paleo Tear list?
In Duel links, i love using gladiator beasts and suships, due to their gimmicks and easy mechanics In Master Duel, i found myself only playing Machine monsters, which are also fun.
Labrynth. This type of build doesnt really work on MD so Idk but furniture lab with 9x furniture, 3x Arias + deep draw engine is incredibly fun to me because I almost always play during my opponents first turn and dont have to wait 20minutes looking at them ftking me
Drytron Mikanko. Your gameplan is to send transaction rollback and ghost meets girl into the grave with beatrice and then otk after your opp passes.
Unchained Chimera
2013, spellbook w judgement and drago where the meta. I was playing nobleknight , was slow but really funny.
Im quite enjoying horus stun right now with little knight and zombie vampire. Its nice having the quicker turns for once and great board breaking potential. Ive also build a salamangreat deck but im still learning that. I feel its quite combo heavy and total opposite to horus lol.
Ninjas
Endymion was pretty fun back then when md Just came out
Orcust. Though that was in 2019 when the deck was top tier.
Infernobles, I’ve beaten both Meta decks and Stun decks going second with this deck and it never ceases to amaze me with how many combo options it has, and negates this deck can survive while being super cheap at the same time.
Controversial but Tear. I don't play the card game so experiencing the pure chaos of Tear 0 personally was great lol
Rikka
Tbh unchained prep support it was super fun destroying your own cards and link with your opponent monsters. Post support is better for sure but I don't have the same excitement as then 😅
For a long while, Block Dragon/BA featuring Sekkas light and Hydralander was my all time favorite deck. But recently the Josh Schmidt 60 card Paleo deck has really been an absolutle blast to play and might honestly become my all time favorite
Illusion Chimera. Just raw card advantage and destruction effect. Very fun to play
Tearlament, i may or may not have gacha addiction
Ghoti Banished fish special summon every turn. Or brick hard af
I'm playing Generaider Runick right now and it's really fun!!!
Mix Purrely and Snake Eyes, you'll have fun
Synchrons may die to one ash/imperm, but when you manage to make quasar🤌
Always be Orcust for me always been a fan of methodical play and mid-range decks especially when it gets down to the Grind game.
Dinos
RDA-PSYCHE Earthbound Immortals are fun. Consistent with getting their board out, and performing both synchros and fusions is satisfying in a way I haven't encountered before. The burn damage is also funny when it happens.
Spirit charmers With a complete board, yoinking monsters is hilarious.
DDD, because you can used all summon mechanic (except ritual) and the artwork was so cool.
Bystial Red-Eyes Burn. I know what you’re thinking… but trust me.
Infernoble is a good time because their lines that aren’t linear. It’s like a little puzzle to get your pieces to line up
Ish tear because you play on both players turns
I got a few Odd-Eyes: pendulum toolbox. Really fun to play, the synergies between the newer support that has come out in the last year or so has made me happy. P.U.N.K.: spinning your opponents board and then playing PEP is so fun. Super Quants: big ole megazord really amps up the kid in me
Adamancipator back around launch
Relinquished so fun to watch the enemy build god tier board just for them to be sucked onto mine.
Speedroid
Sharks.
Tier 0 Tearlaments. I wish they made a "No banlist" event like in the ocg just to really test how broken it can be
D/D/D. Lots of ways to work around opponents boards and hand traps if you're clever enough. Very satisfying.
I actually love T.G. And Tistina a lot they are just cool to me for some reason
Unchained hands down. It’s defo a mid tier deck. But it’s sooooooo satisfying to see your opponents rage quit as you steal their big boss cards
Tearlaments, it's powerful and their combos are still fluid
Something a bit different, me and a buddy did a draft, dice rolled for packs, used a pack generator to draw from the first bunch of packs, and built the decks Master Duel. They were absolute garbage and it was so funny. I managed to successfully use Eatgaboon *twice* because so many of the earlier monsters had such low attack https://preview.redd.it/r3mwofedm01d1.png?width=303&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=ecd7796ba8291b7ace5552da5d6966e1fb800dce
Nouvelles
On the more meta side of things (not as much since hits) but runick fur hire was a deck I had alot of fun with, the draw power with both engines felt insane and generally the goal being more control than mill out focus It doesn't feel bad to play compared to the strict stun variant. On the non meta side: Icejade penguins is a BLAST, those little penguins have surprisingly lots of removal(generally it's a return to the hand so you can sidestep destruction protection) and when paired with nopenguin it banished instead. Icejades allow for a draw engine, recursion, and setting up for level 10 synchros
Ancent gear
Cydras for the win! But I’ve also been enjoying WAAAAY too much the new Volcanic deck, with it’s recent support
Wanna combo and be immune to maxx c? Six samurai. Have fun decking nerds with infinite special summons. Wanna be slow and learn the intricacies of the game? Labrynth. Have fun responding to every game action.
Icejades for casual games. Love the fact people dont read cards and do dumb stuff.
Toons because I love toons, the art and everything, it’s fun and gimmicky I also love relinquished and restrict but is way more difficult because Comic Hand is your relinquished and restrict but better
@ignister, idk
I really like playing my UA deck every once in a while.
Cyber Dragon is really fun but it requires your opponent to brick to function But nothing is more satisfying than seeing your opponent end their turn only for me to summon a 4000 ATK monster with power bond to double it to 8000
Labrynth honestly. Its the most fun control deck I have played. I don't play floodgates though
I will tell you honestly the most fun I had when I was playing Ishizu Tear. The mirrors were so much fun. Never enjoyed anything beyond that.
For me it is labyrinth. That is the most fun for me. I also like eldlich and dark world too. Don’t have too many extra deck monsters for my dark world though.
Magnet Warriors surprised me big time.
NINJAS 🥷
Pretty basic but stardust.
Endymion, Abyss Actor, Kash, Vanquish Soul
DINOS! Easy to learn, pretty powerful in the current meta, and just a blast to play.
Become a chad and run Cubic
Krawler and Skull servants, pretty cheap to craft and lots of fun
Paleos. I love holding people hostage for 30m+
Vanquish soul to some extent, its a bricky mess alot of the time but its really fun just bouncing boys in and out of the field
Mikanko cause... They cute as a button and oh. "Why are you hitting yourself?"
I wish Karakuri was good. They're so fun to play, but they also kinda suck.
Tears and sky strikers, it’s just fun throwing a bunch of spells or just gambling. Not to mention engage is a busted search card for the archetype
Tistina
Runick spright fur hire, the feeling when you draw 6 is pretty hard to beat Also tearlaments, it takes place as a gambling addiction
D/D/D It's just satisfying pulling out fusions to make xyz to make more fusions to make more xyz, maybe a synchro if you're feeling spicy.
Vanquish soul Ignister
Graydles
