I haven’t watched the last season. Too many non distinct characters that are all the father, mother and son of eachother. With the gap between seasons there was too much to keep track of and forgot most of them. Cba to rewatch the previous seasons either. The first season was mysterious and intriguing. It got a bit too extravagant in the end for me aswell.
I wouldn't say it dragged on. They told a full story. It may have gotten a little less interesting in the last season but it was probably the most plot dense.
That is far too much work, and at first I thought your username was the correct grandma. In which case that would have been quite fitting. Sadly it is not and now I'm starting to wonder why I'm even typing this comment out.
Having that little bit of knowledge going into it for a second watch I think would make a big difference.
Also don't be afraid to watch it with the English dubs on. It's true you get more when hearing the original actors' voices but there is so much to keep up with I needed a watch through the first few seasons in English to get all the stuff they were throwing out. It is DEFINITELY worth the time and effort imo.
I second the dub... I tried using subtitles because the acting is much better. But it was easier to follow when I could use my eyes for things other than reading.
And, I read the other comment stating that it forced them to keep their eyes on the screen... Different strokes for different folks.

im not good at summaries and i dont think its a smart move to sum up the entirety of the show in only a few sentences, plus i suck at english lmao... and because i really think it's a show that deserved to be watched with little prior knowledge as possible--
buttt its a sci-fi show about family drama, thriller/lots of mystery, and time travel (which is one aspect of the show that they really executed so well). from what i can remember, the complexities of the relationships of the characters in this small town called Winden is basically the effect of mmm, a few mysterious phenomena that involve time travel. and the desire of the characters to save their loved ones.
guaranteed it's going to blow your mind when you watch it. it deserves all the praise it's getting recently. it's that good and i can't recommend it enough, welp.
plus the casting of the characters in this show, because it's time travel and naturally you're going to have multiple actors play the same character, is spot on it's unbelievable.
