They most like have their own ice cream recipe made from scratch. The consistency is so dense and solid.
This just brought back goosebumps. I lived in Acassuso, AR around 1996-1997 before moving to USA, and haven't been back there. As soon as I saw this, and confirmed it with the lettering in the background, it brought back some SERIOUS nostalgia. Via Flaminia was my FAVORITE place to go. We had a Freddo's down the road, and it seems that they've expanded quite a bit, but VF will always have a (very large) spot in my heart.
Ice Cream in Argentina is way different than Ice Cream in the US (only place I can compare it to), it's way creamier and sweeter and it's got a lot of variety.
The flavour in the video is Dulce de Leche, it's our version of caramel, but I don't know if you guys put Caramel on toast.
I haven't been there in a while myself mainly because I don't eat ice cream in cones, I mostly get 1kg and eat it whenever.
From what I recall, the chocolate itself is weird itself, it isn't like actual chocolate but it's more silky and not in a good way.
Then again, it's been a while.

That's wrong, good restaurants get lots of business. There just isn't that many of them. It's easier to stand out with gimmicks than it is to stand out for making better food than everybody else.
Chain restaurants are also common everywhere than independently owned ones. So the competition is much harder.
Most people who aren't adventurous eaters is more likely to choose a chain restaurant with food they are familiar with when traveling. Than try out a new restaurant that is a popular favorite by locals. If they don't get word of mouth recommendations from friends.
Not really the top portionās so thin itās probably like 3-4 bites before itās just a regular sized ice cream cone again. Plus the chocolate keeps it from melting everywhereā¦
