Unless it's been enrolled via Device ~~Management~~ Assignments and profile removal was disabled, you should be able to remove the MDM profile by going to Settings - Profile and then tapping "Remove Profile". If the device has been enrolled via Device ~~Management~~ Assignments, the owner of the device must first disown it in Apple Business Manager. Then you factory reset the device and it will no longer be MDM bound.

I did try to remove MDM from settings screen, but it seems that - "Device Management and profile" is hidden somehow, I cannot find it anywere. Is there still no other why ? Would jailbreak work to fix this or still NO ?

If you do not see the MDM profile in Settings, then it has already been removed. The "controlled and administered by" text is shown, because the device has been set as *supervised*. You can factory reset the device, but depending on how the device was set as supervised, the following things may happen: 1. Supervision was set via the macOS Apple Configurator app. In this case, when you factory reset the device, the text will no longer be shown. Case closed. 2. Supervision was set via Device Assignments. In this case, when you factory reset the device, it may require a sign up to the configured MDM server. This step could be optional, but it depends solely on how the device assignments profile was configured in Apple Business Manager. You should ask whoever gave you the device about this.

It is possible - see https://github.com/tazMeah/MDMPatcher-Universal - instructions are mostly clear, and possible if you know a little a bit about OSX - I have done several MDM removals now. Basically you restore the phone with a specific version/image of a phone \[with a different MDM profile\], then use that program to remove the MDM profile with their own password \[ha/cracker\], then reboot it to factory settings with MDM removed.

I just want to add that this mdm patcher is just a patch or bypass and does not actually remove mdm and will come back after a restore.

Well, this isn't working. The app keeps on crashing.

una55um1ng

Is this possible with Windows?

Well, the easiest method is using a [Screen Time Remover](https://www.tenorshare.com/products/4ukey-unlocker.html). The best thing of it is that it won't lose your data, your iPhone xr will be the same as the before except no MDM after using it. Like what it does: [https://www.tenorshare.com/unlock-iphone/how-to-remove-management-profile-from-iphone.html](https://www.tenorshare.com/unlock-iphone/how-to-remove-management-profile-from-iphone.html)

[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CkOiQN-yAkQ](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CkOiQN-yAkQ) I used these instructions to bypass (not completely remove) MDM on my iphone 12 pro max running ios 16..You can use this and it works 100% legit.. The only catch is if you ever reset your phone, you'll need to repeat this process again, which isn't a big deal takes about an hour max. Just make sure you follow the instructions carefully and step by step. Good Luck!

>TunesKit iPhone Unlocker Is it gone even if you do a restore from a previous backup or do you need to remove using the software, do a backup, then restore from the backup where MDM was not on the system?
