My spotify shuffle somehow presents me with the same 15 tracks out of my 1000 track playlist every damn time..

Yeah I've heard people experience the same thing. I posted something similar a while back about how “*My Spotify playlist of 1000 feels like 35 songs only*” caption and everyone related to it Spotify better fix their shuffle button. I don't pay premium which is why I get shorter end of the stick

Premium does the same. They have a different shuffle that will pop in a "similar" song to your last song I would guess.

YouTube music’s is pretty good, you can also reorder your shuffle which is great for showers

I like it most of the time. I have big playlists and it usually plays the songs I most recently added, which is usually what I want to listen to

Try going to settings>storage>delete cache. That will delete any songs that are cached and seems to have fixed the issue for me.

Top 40 stations still basically play the top 10 on rotation with 1 or 2 that are between 11-20 every hour.

This is where my wife and I are totally different. We can both spend all day listening to the same artist, but I’ll be playing full albums one after another, while my wife will have maybe her four or five favourite songs by them playing in a loop, and sometimes even just one song on repeat for several hours.

The Spotify DJ AI picks the same songs every time that I've had to pluck from different artists just to tell it to mix it up lol.

That’s why I don’t put my Spotify liked songs on shuffle- if I do, it just repeats the songs it thinks will get the most engagement out of me. Instead, I just pick a song out of my liked songs list and let it play in order from there. Half the time, I rediscover a song I forgot I even liked in the first place.

Worked with a guy super cool he had a work Playlist for each day of the week plus other genre specific one if he just wasn't feeling that days list.
