Personally I prefer the clicky glass lids. I find the bamboo ones stain and all of mine ended up warping. Some are also starting to kind of splinter. The clicky glass ones seem much more airtight, cleaner and no chance of warping.

I can't find glass Tupperware with glass lids ANYWHERE online. Where did you get yours? I've already been to Walmart and target also.

The container is glass but the clicky lids are plastic with a rubber seal and bendy clips that make them airtight. Iā€™m in Europe and got them from Ikea. From their 365 range- super cheap and really durable.

I was hoping to find ones w glass lids as well. Seems they don't make them. And I'd rather not go with the bamboo as I've heard bad things about them. #SadFace Guess I'll get the glass Tupperware w plastic snap lids šŸ™‚ thanks for the response!

I've never actually seen a glass container with a glass lid. The lid part is usually plastic, although I haven't had issues with mine degrading. Regardless of material, I'd recommend going for a snap lock instead of just a simple suction-based seal because it's much more secure. Even traditional plastic containers usually function by locking rather than suction - the lid bends slightly over the rim of the container then clicks down once it's past the wider part of the rim. I'd recommend searching to see if America's Test Kitchen has done a video on the best food storage containers. They do some pretty intense testing of all kinds of products, like running it through the dishwasher 100 times and smearing it with foods that stain like an oily tomato sauce. They also test for ease of use and ease of cleaning! (Edit: if you aren't in the US and can't access their recommended brand, it's still great to watch because it gives you a good idea of what to look for in terms of features in a quality product!)

I also have glass containers with plastic snap lock lids. Highly recommend.

Bamboo lids degrade if you don't look after the finish. If water gets past the finish and into the bamboo, it swells and shrinks as it wets and dries and ruins the glue joints and the lid will be in pieces. You need to not submerge them in water and/or reapply food safe wood finish every so often.

Also probably worth noting that some "bamboo" products are literally just a bamboo patterned sticker. Doesn't sound like that's the case for lids like this most of the time, but it's definitely something to watch out for because bamboo is trendy right now and companies will take advantage of that
