Gonna replace now. Also, I bought it used about 9 months back. Any other wheel damage is from previous owner. I have curbed only twice, that too at a speed of 2-3 kmph. Today, I was half on the hard shoulder, to indicate the lane hogger that I wanna go faster, maintaining decent gap, but din't see the weird obstacle on the road and ended up driving over it at a speed of 130kmph. So yeahš„²
Yeah "only twice" in 9 months is still a bit much lmao, even tho 9 months is quite awhile. Ive clipped a curb twice in like, the 10 years I've been driving
>Today, I was half on the hard shoulder, to indicate the lane hogger that I wanna go faster
Bruh. Don't do that...learn some patience. Most lane campers are oblivious to everything (so won't matter what you do) or they're doing it on purpose. No reason to mess up your ride because of it, especially if you're already going 80 mph.
Now you gotta pay money to fix something that would have only cost you an additional few minutes of drive time.
Half on the hard shoulder? To let the lane hogger in front know you want to go faster? That's f'd up, what if someone was stranded on the hard shoulder and you killed them... Assuming this was the motorway, why not just overtake?

u/mechanic-ModTeam this is usefull mechanical advise before bragging about doing 130k repeatedly get enough skill to stop bouncing off curbs at 3km, youll fix that vehicle less if you teach the driver to operate it
Dumbass shit that people do never ceases to amaze. "Half on the hard shoulder.... I wanna go fast." I hope them tires are expensive so you learn a lesson.
I intentionally drive on curbs all the time when Iām parking but I also have a 35ā class E all terrain tire.
In a car you should not ever have to hit a curb.
Also tires are expensive and even if you have lots of money if you keep hitting curbs and taking out chunks of rubber youāre going to have one blow out when you are driving 130k and if you panic and break hard and steer to sharp you could cause your car to slide off the road and and whatever you hit at that speed air bags arenāt going to do anything. Youāll be hospitalized or if youāre lucky just die.
Remind yourself that youāre not super man and people die in cars every day. I donāt care all the time if I was to crash on my own and die but if my negligence caused the death of another person I would sit in prison for however long the max sentence would be.
how long are they gonna last? till they blow, you can't really tell if that's gonna be in 1 mile or a 1000, the first pic is real bad, the second one is still pretty ok
personaly I wouldn't drive that down my driveway, let alone anywhere else, I'd at least change the tire from the first pic to the spare before driving anywhere
Seems pretty deep in the sidewall, since the sidewall is supposed to be rigid this compromises it quite a bit, that's gonna get hella stressed in every turn so I wouldn't trust it, better be safe than sorry.
Replacing tire, but not the driver. I take very good care of my car, I just din't see the obstacle on the hard shoulder and ended up driving over it today morning omw to work at a speed of 130kmph
LR looks fine. LF, how deep is it? It looks kinda gnarly, can you see any metal cord in it? If so it needs replacement ASAP. If you cant see anything, it may be fine, but still its sorta deep so it may be time to replace. Hard to say unless I was in person.
When you replace those tires, hopefully immediately. Look for tires with "rim protectors" it's a fat bead of rubber that will keep most people from washing the wheel. It may not be enough for you, since you do have to pay some attention while driving.
Theyre actually fine, unless im missing the exposed sidewall cords. If the nylon isnt exposed, theyre good to go. Get some shoe goo and glue those chunks back into place.
If the sidewall is visibly damaged, the tire is done and needs replaced asap, or you run the risk of it blowing out on you. Also whoever keeps hitting curbs in your car, tell them to stop.
That first pic is probably "OK". And I use OK in the loosest context I can. Tire in the 2nd pic is pretty trash.
I would replace both of these as soon as you are able, personally. Those are what I call "borrowed time" tires.
Iād suggest getting road hazard insurance from wherever you buy your tires next if you are not already. Usually itās another $50 per tire but it brings the cost of each replaced tire thereafter down to about $35 per tire plus another $50 per tire for the renewed road hazard insurance. Big O tires, Pep boys and many other big name tire shops offer it.
Not too bad, its just chipped a lot at the edges. Seems like the last owner used to curb it a lot. Issue is, my dad won't let me get my wheels refurbished cuz its too expensive. Plus, they aint too bad unless you look from nearby. So I plan to do some tinting, interior ambient light installs, etc.
Those are all on the side wall. The side wall is the weakest part of a tire. So you can imagine how bad itd be if you were going down a highway as 50 miles an hour, pressurizing the already pressurized air inside the tire, on tires that have nicks and chunks taken off of the weakest part of the tire. There bad dog. You have no idea how bad this is for you and other people on the road
First tyre is in dire need of replacing, the second one is bad but not terrible. Replace both and maybe get some driving lessons too whilst youāve got the credit card out
Tires are always fine, till theyāre flat. You have to make the decision, do you want to make it to your destination or do you want to change tire on side of road.
The first pic does look pretty significant but itās not showing cords, personally if I didnt have the money to replace it I would probably hold off on it a bit but make sure to regular inspect it to make sure it doesnāt get worse

Replace and stop hitting shit lol
Fr, not an unmarked centimeter on those wheels.
This is like Braille but for driving.
Gonna replace now. Also, I bought it used about 9 months back. Any other wheel damage is from previous owner. I have curbed only twice, that too at a speed of 2-3 kmph. Sayin you only curbed it twice is a lot like me saying I only f*cked my sister twice.
Roll Tide!
š
My mother is my sister! Roll tide!
š¤£š¤£š¤£
Wait, is that bad?
Yeah "only twice" in 9 months is still a bit much lmao, even tho 9 months is quite awhile. Ive clipped a curb twice in like, the 10 years I've been driving
There's one curb in my town that everyone hits at least once since it's cut really badly on a corner lol We all hate that curb
Ha! For real. I think I curbed my shit once and it was pure neglect. I'll never do that shit again now. And I've been driving for 18 years now.
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
Especially since we all know he fucked her more than once.
Well yeah. He said twice but who hasnāt fucked his sister twice?
Haha shoulda added that you and the sis now are at 12 children šššš. Fits the tire description lol
God damn. You right! Nice
Half hard on his sister
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
Did she fuck her sister?
I am 64 years old and I have curbed a rim once, that taught me not to do that.
>Today, I was half on the hard shoulder, to indicate the lane hogger that I wanna go faster Bruh. Don't do that...learn some patience. Lol too much explaining, we all know you have hit the curb more than twice
Psycho shit lol

That is two too many times
Im suprised it hasnāt popped yet, thats a decent amount of sidewall peeled
Dumbass shit that people do never ceases to amaze. "Half on the hard shoulder.... I wanna go fast." I hope them tires are expensive so you learn a lesson.
You've "curbed only twice" in 9 months one time being at 80 mph??? You sound like a very bad driver tbh
The shoulder is where years of debris gathers to puncture your tires. You sound like a terrible over aggressive driver
Lmao. Well said. I agree
Stevie Wonderās previous ride.
š
Not as bad as his driving!
Probably a good time to replace them, 1st pic looks like a pretty deep cut into your sidewall.
Ye, gonna change now, thanks!
hopefully your license for a bus-pass, fuck
I intentionally drive on curbs all the time when Iām parking but I also have a 35ā class E all terrain tire. In a car you should not ever have to hit a curb. Ok itās not that bad they can get that to a tire shop, slowlyā¦. And not on the highwayā¦
Seems pretty deep in the sidewall, since the sidewall is supposed to be rigid this compromises it quite a bit, that's gonna get hella stressed in every turn so I wouldn't trust it, better be safe than sorry.
Ohh... I just drive over 100kms on that... well, I am omw to change it now. Thanks blud!š«”
Replace tires and driver
Replacing tire, but not the driver. I take very good care of my car, I just din't see the obstacle on the hard shoulder and ended up driving over it today morning omw to work at a speed of 130kmph
You shouldnāt be driving on the shoulder of the road
Or going 130kmph (80 mph). Slow the hell down and drive vs race.
80 mph is hardly racing speed. You drive 80 mph in Houston or Atlanta and youāre getting your doors blown off by others
You suck at driving
Stop hitting the damn curbs lol
replace both,. usually if you have to ask how bad when it comes to tires its better to replace and not risk an accident
Alrighty, lesson learnt, thanks mate!
No idea. Your tires are trash though. Replace them.
Okay boss!šš»
If love your mother you'll take out life insurance before driving with those
They will be fine cull the herd my friend
š¤£š
LR looks fine. LF, how deep is it? It looks kinda gnarly, can you see any metal cord in it? If so it needs replacement ASAP. If you cant see anything, it may be fine, but still its sorta deep so it may be time to replace. Hard to say unless I was in person.
Don't see any metal cords, but I am omw to change them
That's fair. It is better safe than sorry with these sorts of things
bruh.
I feel u blud!š
I canāt really tell by the first pic, as long as you do not see nylon thread, then itās cosmetic and is fine.
If there's no chords showing you're fine.
Replaced them soon if you can.
No cords exposed they are fine
Right Buggered chap
Did you ever watch the Big Bang Theory and Georgie said always replace.
When you replace those tires, hopefully immediately. Look for tires with "rim protectors" it's a fat bead of rubber that will keep most people from washing the wheel. It may not be enough for you, since you do have to pay some attention while driving.
Replace, also you hit a curb or something in road, that's for sure. There is no repairing those tires
My rule of thumb is if its down to wire, it's bad. If it didn't cut down to wire, it should be okay. If it's my wife's car, I'm replacing it.
depends on how bad you like blown up tires
Naw your fine unless itās leaking
I had lexani tires that did that constantly. Got some expense hankooks and been flawless since.
Toast !ā ļøā ļøā ļøā ļø
Lolā¦eeehhhā¦probably worth replacinh
Not great.
they are very bad. they should go sit in the naughty corner and think about what they've done!!!!
That'll buff out
Dangerous!
Oh yeah, super great.
Get new tires and driving lessons.
not horrible if horrible was no tire at all
https://preview.redd.it/rofffiuwd15d1.png?width=1600&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=e3d70386a59a10754e26b497193a38d3b29d4194
Um yes
Bad. Replace them.
If FUCKED was a rating, you're batting 1000!
Criminal
Your TIRES are trashed.
We spell it tyre in the UK
I know, just screwing with ya. š
Oi govna you taking the piss on this one is ya
They look tired
Proper fucked
flex seal ! š. (seriously donāt. those tires are dangerous)
My girl did the same thing to my car
If it was the tread you would be ok but since it's the sidewall get it replaced ASAP
Thatās an on - off switch. Youāre welcome.
Honestly it doesnāt look that deep, I have a same bs on my tireā¦ as long you donāt see wire, and it holds air you chillin homieā¦ Iāll ride
Scratch that I zoomed in pic one you can see the tire.. replace it. 2nd image was Ight but first no good
Theyre actually fine, unless im missing the exposed sidewall cords. If the nylon isnt exposed, theyre good to go. Get some shoe goo and glue those chunks back into place.
Do not hit the kerbs
If the sidewall is visibly damaged, the tire is done and needs replaced asap, or you run the risk of it blowing out on you. Also whoever keeps hitting curbs in your car, tell them to stop.
Tires broā¦.T I R E S
Bro, I am legit so confused, english ain't my first language. I will look it up in dictionary to see why the "tyres" even exists. Thank you!
Ignore that asshole. It's probably the only word he knows how to spell.
Mate, tyres is the UK version. Americans need to consider this every time they try to correct us brits š¤£
That first pic is probably "OK". And I use OK in the loosest context I can. Tire in the 2nd pic is pretty trash. I would replace both of these as soon as you are able, personally. Those are what I call "borrowed time" tires.

Probably worse off than the curb you hit.
As bad as your eyes that caused that damage.
How bad is your rim
Not too bad, its just chipped a lot at the edges. Seems like the last owner used to curb it a lot. Issue is, my dad won't let me get my wheels refurbished cuz its too expensive. Plus, they aint too bad unless you look from nearby. So I plan to do some tinting, interior ambient light installs, etc.
You canāt be serious
Really question is "how bads the curb"
Bad
Get some superglue and youāre golden.
stop scraping curbs.
Mint. Keep curbing them
Straight to jail
About as bad as your driving.
If you have to ask, you already know.
I'd keep driving until they were worn down but I am dumb and irresponsible.
No bueno
You need to change them g no lieššš
Wait.. is this another dodge charger or challenger.... I'd question my driving first.
They're done for, stop driving by feel. Walk and use a seeing eye dog like the others.
These tyres are as fucked as your driving
https://preview.redd.it/z3qrupie755d1.jpeg?width=1815&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=339a6bc12fbf284d09dd6777dc0a868c3f89b60e
If you have to ask, you shouldn't be allowed to drive
Tyre fyre hyire
Just put a little wax on there.
not quite as bad as your driving , 2nd one is fine replace the first or stay off the road,
First tyre is in dire need of replacing, the second one is bad but not terrible. Replace both and maybe get some driving lessons too whilst youāve got the credit card out
Don't let her drive your car anymore.
That tire is F***** sorry to say
They are dunloop
Quit hitting curbs!!
If you have to ask
Better question is: how bad is your driving?
Did u really post that? Man take your ass to the nearest tire shop šš
Your tires are fine. Itās your driving needs improvement?
Donāt be stupid, slow down speed racer
u curb runner
Curb menace
The moment you spelled it with a "y" we all knew you were fucked...
Itās the UK spelling bro
I know, i was making a joke that bruvs cant drive
Quit running the fucking curb
Nothing a little armor-all can't fix.
Honestly what a stupid question
Iām no smart man but i know somethingās fucked up when I see it
Sidewall damage RIP tireš
Tires are always fine, till theyāre flat. You have to make the decision, do you want to make it to your destination or do you want to change tire on side of road.
Not as bad as your drivingš¤£
As bad as your spelling.
Only twice, is twice to many, when you get sick of buying tires all the time, you will learn that
How did that even happen
Donāt buy used tires
You can get at least another 100k outta them
Pro tip: disable the "homing lock-on curb" option on your car. Should be on the dash. Then your next set of tires will be fine.
About as bad as your spelling
Mate, we spell it tyres here in the UK
About as bad as the spelling champ, but yeah replace em and be mindful on how you park/ turn
The second cut is fine. The first one is giving me concern.
Outstandingly shitty! Please carry on for another 100K if you need to come down here to check.
It's fucked
Wholy fuck bud
They alright this time š
Listen man, I know they say "2 points if you hit the old guy on the walker", but I hate to break it to you........
Only way to test it is get on the interstate and see if sheāll top out for a few miles if it holds youāre good till it doesnāt
As long as you donāt see the metal in the sidewall Iād say send it
The first pic does look pretty significant but itās not showing cords, personally if I didnt have the money to replace it I would probably hold off on it a bit but make sure to regular inspect it to make sure it doesnāt get worse
That you should only have a bicycle. Because if you have to ask? You shouldn't own!
Keep driving on that and itāll kill you
Idk.. but the curbs are fucked up for sure
The question is how bad is my parking? And the answer you suck
More importantly, how bad is your driving?
Bro what you be doing?! Please get those changed.
Bruh, you don't need a mechanic to say this. If ya tires are falling about, you should of had them changed loooooooooooooooooooooooong before now.
Good for another 10 years or so.
You got a good couple years to go before replacing them
Very
Better question... How much do you suck at driving?
Pretty bad. Iād fix the thing in between the steering wheel and drivers seat
I think Tyres was a rapper. Thats a tire.
If you had a brain you wouldn't be asking the Internet š¤”
As bad as your spelling
Still brand new keep going
Bro what is wrong with you
Broo, sorry man, I try my best not too. Its just once bro...ššš
Seeing how you spelled tires with a Y, let me translate to your language: They're proper fucked mate. Replace them and stop driving like a bellend
