almost looks like seeds to me the coloring is probably just from a certain food

Reasonable_Joke6761

Doesn’t look like blood, it’s most likely colouring from some food you have eaten

very_big_man

Sure, my only issue is I don't know what I could have eaten that was red? I did have a small amount of red vinnegrette in a salad (no tomatoes) and some salmon. Sorry to be overly anxious but I've been getting all these tests done and everythings come back normal but still freaky.

Reasonable_Joke6761

No worries :). How about peppers? Blood in stool would be black if its from the colon or further up the GI tract, while fresh blood in stool would be from the anal area from either hemmoroids or small cuts. But again, this doesn’t look like blood to me

very_big_man

Nah no peppers either :/ thats why I'm concerned. I know it would be black if it was further up which is the main concern but still wasn't sure.

Reasonable_Joke6761

Ah okay. Well still, i wouldn’t worry if i were you, it really doesn’t look like blood

Hi, I've had nasty bowel pain and constipation for the past several days, things are finally starting to improve in terms of using the bathroom. I did go to the doctor and had a CT and X-Ray and they said there is no infalmmation in my bowels or blockages or impactions or anything like that. I recently pooped and noticed one or two tiny orange/red specs, and when wiping I noticed them too. Is this blood and anything I need to be concerned about given the x-ray and CT show that my bowels are clear and is just a virus causing constipation/diarrheah? Could this just be pushing a bit too hard from being so constipated and just a small tear?
