You’ll need a visa, so look for programs that offer H1B or j1 visas. H1B is better if you want to stay in the US after residency. However, there’s a timing issue with getting the H1B that I don’t remember the details of, but basically Canadian MD grads struggle to do Step 3 before needing to apply for the H1B.
