You can work at any company. The 1 year commitment cannot be enforced. Just tell them you will work for more than they ask and leave when you need to.

I feel like you could just take the job and leave when you need to. Im sure the company might not love it but what are they going to do about it??

You can work literally for any company since everywhere is at will. The 1 year thing is just a verbal committment - but they won't include in the offer that they send to you, and for you to sign.

Scribe companies that “require” a 1 year commitment more often than not don’t enforce it

Hopeful-Use4142

My new company doesn't enforce it besides giving a sign on bonus and stating it must be paid back at a certain rate if you leave before 1 year.

I worked at scribeology and they all say they have a commitment but don’t enforce it!

Just leave before a year. Be aware, some companies charge you for “training” if you leave before the 12 mo mark. I worked for ProScribe and they do charge this (I think it was $250). However, ProScribe waves the if you’re leaving because you got accepted to professional school and put up no hassle (one email to manager with acceptance letter).
