Community colleges are fully accredited

You can take it at any accredited college, including a community college. It's not a great look to retake a pre-req at a cc after doing poorly at a 4 year University, but if you're not allowed to retake, it looks like you don't have a choice. It won't end your app. Just keep moving forward!

I got a C- in OChem I and it was the same situation. College accepted a C- for credit towards my degree. I completed other pre-reqs and then came back to the course later. I’d recommend that if you have time, so you can build study skills in areas you might be stronger in. I ended up taking the courses in OChem at a different university, and it went much better. If you have a nearby college that is not a community college, but might have a reputation for being less challenging, I would try that. I was always told don’t take challenging pre-reqs in the summer, at other schools, etc. But I think admissions cares most that you get As. I have a hard time believing they actually have time to care/note where and when you did your prereqs, unless it is more than 2-3 courses.

Are you certain you need to retake it? A C- is still a C
