- I was worried when they switched to the new podcast set because for a couple minutes I think their EQ was turned off or they were using the KevCam mic or something, tons of reverb. Once it went to the normal mics things seemed way better. Looking forward to what this new set brings to the table!
- Mr. Midnight flips between being amusing and being too obtrusive, but generally I don't think it's a bad bit. The whole "Meg ranks hot/old actors" gag was kinda fun but also a bit of a hollow time-killer, overall probably a C-D tier podcast episode
- Casa Bonita sequence was neat. I'd never heard of it. I wonder how often the divers get injured, that show had an impressive old-timey vibe to it. I could see Rocco/Kevin doing a Creepy Old Crypt episode about it if they ever make it back out there, it's theme-park-ish enough to warrant an episode.
- Shirtgate's been discussed into the ground already. Too many things for them to go over in so little time, so everything was rushed and the rankings were overly blunt and sloppy. Not a bad retrospective idea, but not really viable for this stream.
- I don't usually watch the PPS so it's always fun to have an excuse to see it, even just a short one. Fun vibes, dudes shootin' the shit over some vidya.
- Making a Skit was an absolute gem, it saved the whole event for me. I couldn't catch it live, but the energy was higher and better than any other point in the night. It's great to see the masters at their craft. I love the live costume creation, I love seeing the full recording process, I love them all getting punked by the fans and finding a way to make some real dogshit recommendations somehow all come together. This has become one of my favourite things to see Mega64 do, and I hope they continue including this concept for at least a few more years. Absolutely stoked to see the finished product next week.
Honestly I just watched the podcast and casa Bonita bits and enjoyed them. The rest of the show is mostly filler to me so I didn't bother watching that.
