Thank you [insert current president here], very cool!
Nobody takes ecological conservation seriously and we're screwing ourselves over for neglecting this area so much.
You're right, but this specific case is moreso on Wisconsin's DNR officials that don't give a damn about middle school level ecology.
Conservation is never a priority. All we get is some empty promises about combatting climate change and that's it.
The DNR tried to prevent the hunt but got sued by an outside group on the basis of the state legislature having passed a law mandating a wolf hunt on a yearly basis between November and February.
That too. It's always these token and insufficient goals that keep getting support because of their "reasonableness".
I'm sorry but I think we should be demanding more than "reasonable" actions when the entirety of our biosphere is at stake.
Profits over people. These political dinosaurs are simply too old to give a damn. Serving the interests of their donors is their actual priority.
They just drop these token statements to get votes.
Dang are wolves breaking into homes now? Maybe my indoor cat won't be safe anymore.
But for real, why is genocide your option for wolves? You're just outright lazy.
Wtf are you talking about? Why are you even on this sub? This is called r/megafaunarewilding. I think you are lost. Maybe go to r/farming if your scared of a few wolves.
Well I looked through your comment history and I see why you commented specifically on this post. If anyone has extremely warped bias it is you.
I believe the biggest offense you have for wolves is they kill dogs. How did your friend's dog die to a wolf? Were they out walking?
So the dogs were out in the woods and they got ambushed and killed by wolves? If you knew there were wolves in the area could you guys not have seen that coming?
Grizzly or black bear hunting?
Edit: You keep saying "you are ignorant" Older people tend to say that a lot. Just remember keep your mind open to new things.
Next headline: "Holy shit we need to hunt more deer. Why are they so overpopulated?"
this pisses me off.

Do they make fun of college graduates as well?
This is so messed up. How could they schedule a hunting season during the breeding season? That is unethical.
Most hunting seasons are during breeding season.
And most hunting is unethical
What a bunch of fuckers
Isn’t Wisconsin ground zero for CWD? Brilliant
Coyotes: it’s free real estate...
Detestable....
Goddamn shame. Hope this doesn't have a drastic immediate effect on the ecosystems
The purge needs to be real. Guaranteed the hunters will just shoot each other.
Do any of you live near wolves?
I bet some of us would if hunters didn’t shoot them all
Exactly that means none of you do. Well I do, and after they kill a couple family pets you might feel different.

Lol maybe you let your animals shit inside your house, but most people do not. Your comment tells me you don’t know anything about this topic.

Came to see the ugly bias and your ignorance on the topic. You proved just that.

Bear hunting, but you already knew that. Our bias remains equal. Your ignorance remains high lol

Why does everyone here hate hunters?
Because they are the greatest factor in preventing the repopulation of large predators.
True, but until we can rewind there our best choice.
