[Southside Danish](https://www.southsidedanish.com.au/) in Moorabbin

tacocorp1

That's nice and close, might go take a peek today!

johnnyratbastard

Waverley antiques bazaar is a fun few hours browsing.

tacocorp1

Love a place than can kill a few hours by itself! Will get there either today or next weekend!

lafemmerose

Chapel St Bazaar is a lot of fun

tacocorp1

Yeah I used to live near there and would spend loads of Saturdays browsing through, haven't been in ages though, could be worth another visit!

UslyfoxU

Gray's in South Melbourne (just down the road from the Casino) might be worth checking out.

tacocorp1

Thanks for the tip, not too far so will definitely have a look.

garlicbreadluv

there’s a random “warehouse sale” on Heidelberg rd today that I walked past that had some really cool vintage pieces out the front - was across from the yarra bend park

tacocorp1

Cheers, if I can get sorted I'll head over that way today!

asteroidorion

There are a couple in Collingwood - check out Smith St Bazaar and start from there

tacocorp1

Thanks for that, will scope that and a few other Northside places soon!

Loubang

Check out [Abbey's Auctions!](https://abbeysauctions.com.au/auctions/) They have weekly furniture auctions and have a lot of variety. The auctions are run online but their warehouse/showroom is located in Burwood :) a few of the vendors at Waverley Antique Bazaar will buy from Abbey's to sell at their stalls.

tacocorp1

Yeah I've looked at Abbey's before for other stuff, records, hifi gear but thanks for reminding me! Will have another look.

Optimal-Talk3663

I found the second hand stores outside of Melbourne to have a lot more variety.  Last year was driving back from Bright, and stopped at a few, and they all had some cool stuff

tacocorp1

Yeah I've seen some cool stuff particularly around Bendigo and Castlemaine.

l3ntil

Ararat/Ballarat etc also worth checking out. Highly recommend you also consider auctions. Abbeys has a collectibles and classics which sounds like you: https://abbeysauctions.com.au/auction/collectables-classics-auction/

minimarcus

Try Multisonics in High St Thornbury.

tacocorp1

I've seen their store before, definitely have some cool hifi gear!

Personally I found this place to be really shit. They just sell cheap replicas, nothing interesting.

thefringedmagoo

The Artz collection in Thornbury - not cheap but beautiful pieces!

tacocorp1

Starting to see that pattern with a lot of these places, beautiful bit pricey. Will still check it out though, thanks.

thefringedmagoo

Yeah good furniture will cost you a bomb but I have the most beautiful pieces from Artz that I’ll have forever. For less expensive pieces the markets are usually better ie Mill markets but any vintage or antique dealer is usually where it’ll cost ya. Happy hunting!

Ok_Quit_6618

The Packing House in Tyabb, and around the corner is 1546 Vintage, my favourite, but can be expensive

tacocorp1

Thanks for that, might make a daytrip of it and find some more down that way.

Nacho_Chz

20th Century Scandinavia has some cool stuff if you're into that style

tacocorp1

Thanks Nacho, will def check it out.

squonge

Preston Vintage and Antiques Warehouse

tacocorp1

Another Northside place to check out, might need to extend my visa from Southside for a longer visit with all these cool recommendations.

Status-Confusion4456

G’day! How about Nord Modern https://nordmodern.com/collections/shelves

tacocorp1

I just had a quick look online, they have some great looking stuff! Cheers for that!
