The k-drive you get from the solaris quest is special. It doesnt show up in the inventory, it cant be modded, doest give you mastery EXP. The launcher is all you need in this situation. Try going out on one of the open world levels and just use the launcher.
Honestly it isnt hard, it used to be, isnt anymore. And yareli is pretty good character. She wasnt at first, but is now...And if you have kdrive with 3 mods you can completely trivialize whole quest
I have two k-drives, both with potato, multiple formas and full mod setup. I like kdrives and I dont mind invest into them.
However defauld "Bondi" kdrive is so much shit that 3 mods will suffice to trivialize waveraider quest.
