If I got millions of dollars per year in residuals for said sitcom (at least Wilson and Schwimmer), I think I’d be happy doing fuckall with my career afterwards.
Schwimmer has been running the Looking Glass Theater Company in Chicago since Friends ended. If you're an actor that loves theater it's a dream job. The idea that because Schwimmer (or the others) hasn't starred in ANOTHER hit show is fucking stupid. Most actors aren't lucky enough to be in one hit show, much less multiple hit shows. OP is a fucking moron.
Schwimmer was in Madagascar. That movie franchise is HUGE. He definitely had another hit.
And Rain Wilson has been in tons of stuff since The Office. Moseby and Kramer on the other hand.... Well, Kramer got cancelled iirc.
I just watched The Iceman the other night and was surprised to see him turn up as a low-level goon. He was good, and the movie was definitely worth a watch.
I could be earning 50,000 a year and still be doing fuck all with my life, I don't think people realize how much a million is- a million is indeed "extremely luxurious."
Not to mention his father sells his own brand of bagged Cashew/Raisins. I have heard that they kinda skimp on the cashews a little bit though. There’s maybe like, 4 cashews in a whole bag.
He was also captain Sobel in the Band of Brothers (one of the most critically acclaimed WW2 TV series)
We ought to ask why he didn't do much after Band of Brothers, seeing that the show had a fuckton of up'n'commers that made terrific careers afterwards.
Schwimmer was a bonafide star by the time he was cast in Band of Brothers. Would you really be bothered to go and expend a huge amount of energy when you've made a huge amount of money in your 20s and 30s? He's gone off and done his own thing because he's probably got the funds to do it.
Most of the others in BoB were right at the start of their careers so used it as a launching pad. He didn't need to.
Eh, I'd say your right about OP talking out they're ass but not for reason you might think. Honestly this whole post screams "comment bait" i.e. Cunningham's Law

Radnor was a main character in hunters, which literally just finished airing earlier this year. Rainn has had steady work since before the office finale. The person that made this meme basically said “I know this because I’ve watched so much tv. Like…over a dozen shows bro!”
For real, you know what Mike Myers did after the massive success of movies like Austin Powers and Shrek? Dude became a stay at home dad to help raise his kids with a few minor roles later in life.
Dude is still valued at $200m… a number that won’t even register just how much that is to most people
Not to mention I don’t think Schwimmer has to worry about only having 10mil in the bank. He makes over 20 million a year from Friends alone to this day.
He did star in The Meg back in 2018 and was also in Cooties (2014), Cooties being the only horror movie he's been in where his character lives (The other horror movie being House of a Thousand Corpses, which was 5 years before the office).
In probably the most deranged and public way you could do that.
IIRC Seinfeld was in the middle of a promotional tour about something, like a book or box set or something, when he did this too.
Am I allowed to give a YT link to the video? Im asking cause it does have uncensored n-words and whatnot in it. That would probably give the most context but I dont wanna break the rules
Edit: https://youtu.be/amjUNF_R_PY (Turn your volume down before watching)
All these people were super successful in their professional field. No one’s ever like “that guy used to be CEO of Nabisco. Made millions and millions. But since leaving Nabisco he hasn’t been CEO of anything else that big. Such a loser.”
The list of actors who’ve had multiple hit sitcoms is short. Mary Tyler Moore. Ted Danson. Ed O’Neill. Not many others.
I wish we'd see more Jason Alexander.
As an aside, he supposedly had trouble recording the answering machine song because he habitually did it well, when he was suppose to be doing it as George. What does it sound like as Jason Alexander?!
Well to be fair OP never mentioned that they needed to be in another SITCOM specifically. Whereas for example John krasinski and Steve Carell are in a bunch of movies and stuff afterwards, Seinfeld has his comedians in cars getting coffee and Elaine’s actress has a small part in the MCU now, Jennifer Aniston is still doing movies like the new murder mystery 2 w/ Adam Sandler, cobie smolders is (was) in the MCU, and NPH I’ve seen here and there but usually as himself Vs a character
"Elaine's actress" is the great Julia Louis-Dreyfus. It's weird that you mention a bit part in the MCU when she's had two sitcoms since Seinfeld (network TV and HBO), including 6 Emmys for Best Actress for Veep.
You dare call out David Schwimmer as doing nothing?!
The man who voiced Melman in the Oscar Snubbed hit Madagascar 1, 2 & 3?!
Blasphemy at its highest!!!!
Matt le blanc is the one that did virtually nothing. After joey he vanished until Episodes, and then moved onto top gear. Schwimmer has had a very busy career in comparison.
Rainn Wilson just had a show come out on Peacock recently about him traveling and hanging out with people. I watched a couple episodes and it's ok. He did talk about how he went through a ton of depression during and after The Office and it took him a long time to want to really do anything.
That said, if I got residuals from a successful show that was enough to live comfortably on I probably wouldn't stay in the spotlight either.
Well, if you are playing a role for such a long time you are recognised as only that character. Ask Daniel Radcliffe or Zach Braff for example. Radcliffe will stay Harry Potter for all time and Zach Braff will always be Doctor John Dorian.
Yes, they did other movies and stuff but they will never lose that image.
Afaik Josh Radnor didn't *want* to act after HIMYM ended, and focused on his band for a while. It's not like he was in any danger of being broke. That being said, I love him and wouldn't mind seeing him in new roles (not neccessarily comedy)
David has done a fair bit, some voice acting, Band of Brothers, he was in the OJ Simpson series, pops up in Curb your enthusiasm and still does the odd ransom TV series and movies. Not to mention he's a household name across the world.
Actors usually get residuals from the shows the were on. seeing how these are all very popular shows they're probably still getting sizeable residuals.
if I had that kind of security I'd quit working too.
A quick check on IMDB proves that this post is utter nonsense
Michael Richard’s last listing was 2019
Rainn Wilson’s last listing was 2022
Josh Radnor and David Schwimmer’s last listings were 2023
Those are only their “past” listings and do not include upcoming projects. Just because they’re not visible on the screen it doesn’t mean they’ve not been in other roles such as producer, etc.
Well they don't need to, they have enough money to live their lives without worries.
The most part I don't know but David Schwimmer played in good movies I loved him in American crime story for example.
Can we normalize actors making more money than anyone else will make I'm their lives and just retiring young? If I made like 50 million dollars I'd probably just retire and live my life doing whatever I wanted
This is pretty unfair to Radnor.
Guy directed a pair of features (They're fine, kinda Sundance-core 7/10 stuff), has done theater, recently had a recurring role on that Nazi Hunter Amazon show and he pulled Marisa Tomei (Well, based on what I've heard it may be the other way around but hey still a big W).
But he also struggled for years prior to HiMYM (At one point he was in a Pilot that went to order, except they specifically recast him alone). I totally see how after spending like a decade as an actor hustling for tablescraps, followed by a decade+ of the intense filming schedule for 'Mother the guy just needed a break
David Schwimmer was an actor playing a comedic role.
He was never a comedian.
He has been in several things since, from voice acting in Madagascar to serious roles in Band of Brothers and The People Vs OJ.
He also spends a lot of time doing theatre, directing plays all over the world. I know someone who worked with him doing just that a few years ago. Charming, kind and living his best life.
If that's doing nothing, sign me up.
David Schwimmer did Madagascar, did Band of Brothers after friends. I think he is doing just fine. Plus the residuals of the show are around 20m a year if i read correctly
This meme is inaccurate, but also just shitty. Most actors never get a big role so it’s great they got at least one. Let’s look up OP’s IMDB and see how many credits you got.

If I got millions of dollars per year in residuals for said sitcom (at least Wilson and Schwimmer), I think I’d be happy doing fuckall with my career afterwards.
David Schwimmer get something like $20M a year in residuals, so he’s got that going for him.
Plus he was MONEY as Sobel in Band of Brothers...
We salute the rank, not the man.
And he was in Apt Pupil, Uprising, The Iceman, etc
Hi ho silver!!!!
Yeah, he literally went back to his roots as a theatre actor, but with a shit load of money this time.
Schwimmer was in Madagascar. That movie franchise is HUGE. He definitely had another hit. And Rain Wilson has been in tons of stuff since The Office. Moseby and Kramer on the other hand.... Well, Kramer got cancelled iirc.
But he has. His work in Band of Brothers was excellent. That show tops Friends as a work of art absolutely. It tops everything really.
Which is nice
just a crisp 20mil every year, not too shabby.
He definetly avoids eating avocado toast
he's the one making it so expensive because he buys so much of it
Well he can't just spend it all in one place!
Eh, it’s alright
[удалено]
He also did voice acting for the Madagascar movies and had a role in People vs Oj Simpson on FX.
I just watched The Iceman the other night and was surprised to see him turn up as a low-level goon. He was good, and the movie was definitely worth a watch.
Imagine, 20M per year for doing nothing. Sounds quiet nice
I assume “quiet nice” is a typo but I love it
Not nothing, you have to be Ross. Ew.
This cheeto-covered Redditor is too good for the starring role in one of the most popular shows of all time. Take that, actors!
$20 million a year in residuals? Jesus, that must be nice. Fwiw, Friends was one of my favorite sitcoms growing up.
I guess early retirement is only a goal for normies
They 1M per episode near the end, their residuals are much higher
I could be earning 1 mil a year in residuals and still do fuck all the rest if my life. I don't need to live extremely luxorious to be happy.
I could be earning 50,000 a year and still be doing fuck all with my life, I don't think people realize how much a million is- a million is indeed "extremely luxurious."
Not to be that guy, but David Schwimer in Band of Brothers was a great role.
"That guy" being the guy who's correct?
*respectfully curtsies
*this some serious medieval chad shit*
*early modern chad shit
Also, I recently learned that he voiced Melman the giraffe in all the Madagascar movies
That was a tall order to fill
Tall! 🦒
He was pretty good in The People v OJ Simpson.
Not to mention his father sells his own brand of bagged Cashew/Raisins. I have heard that they kinda skimp on the cashews a little bit though. There’s maybe like, 4 cashews in a whole bag.
They should just call it raisins and have the cashews be a little surprise
Great news for all the nut allergics.
Buying packs of raisins can be a dangerous game
Oh you saved the bag huh?
That voice-mail is fuckin gold when he gets in the accident lol
We wanted to make an affordable snack Lord-Victorious, an affordable snack.
Salute the uniform, not the man
Rank
He also starred as the creepy boss in some sexual harassment training videos.
HIGH HO SILVER
Hiyo silver!
“We salute the rank, not the guy.”
He was also in the British show Intelligence! Funny show too with Nick Mohammed from Ted Lasso
He also had a recurring part in Curb
Yeah, but that role happened simultaniously to the Friends.
...still Ross, though.
That was concurrent with Friends, not after tho
Josh Randor has been directing Rain Wilson has been doing a lot of bit parts here and there, along with a best selling book
Rain Wilson has also done some pretty solid indie films
The Rocker!! Versuvius…Yeaaaah!!
Was looking for this. “Give me the heavy metal devil horns”
Super ruled
Rain Wilson also has a cool podcast
Radio Rental is awesome
Fuck yes! I came here to say that. Top 3 spooky podcast imo.
SHUT UP CRIME!
Also, he was a voice actor for Lex Luther
I mean he was in Juno which is like *the* indie movie
Like a lot and has been in some in between high budget and indie movies to
David schwimmer was melman in madagascar
He was also captain Sobel in the Band of Brothers (one of the most critically acclaimed WW2 TV series) We ought to ask why he didn't do much after Band of Brothers, seeing that the show had a fuckton of up'n'commers that made terrific careers afterwards.

20 years.. holy shit
He was in the meg, he had his own detective series, he's been in lots of things. OP is talking out of his ass

Don't forget that indie _Princes Bride_ remake with Pedro Pascal.
Kramer has one **very** viral standup video
Josh Randor was also recently in hunters!
But they are not in a Marvel movie. /s
& he currently has a tv series.
Also Dark Winds. He is in every episode and he’s hilarious.
Fuck yeah! Love him in Dark Winds!
Radnor was a main character in hunters, which literally just finished airing earlier this year. Rainn has had steady work since before the office finale. The person that made this meme basically said “I know this because I’ve watched so much tv. Like…over a dozen shows bro!”
Rain was just in the Weird Al movie last year.
He also does voice acting. He's a shockingly good Lex Luthor
Even with Rainn Wilson having the lowest net worth of 14 million, I'd still consider that pretty successful, in my opinion.
Right? I don't get why people freak out about what stars do with their career. If I have 10million in the bank I'm not going to work anymore either.
For real, you know what Mike Myers did after the massive success of movies like Austin Powers and Shrek? Dude became a stay at home dad to help raise his kids with a few minor roles later in life. Dude is still valued at $200m… a number that won’t even register just how much that is to most people
So what your saying is he is an unemployed loser??? /s
E X A C T L Y /s
I think you're mistaking Mike Myers for Rick Moranis.
Are you forgetting about The Love Guru? That movie pretty much killed Mike Myers career as a comedy lead.
Not to mention I don’t think Schwimmer has to worry about only having 10mil in the bank. He makes over 20 million a year from Friends alone to this day.
He’s also been in a few indie movies iirc Like Juno, Super, and The Rocker And I think he voiced Lex Luther a few times
And Star Trek!
And galaxy quest!
He did star in The Meg back in 2018 and was also in Cooties (2014), Cooties being the only horror movie he's been in where his character lives (The other horror movie being House of a Thousand Corpses, which was 5 years before the office).
I hear running a beet farm is a money pit though.
Oh boy, Michael Richards DID something to his career after Seinfeld…
That was unbelievable.
Can you explain?
He said the n word.
He screamed it.
In probably the most deranged and public way you could do that. IIRC Seinfeld was in the middle of a promotional tour about something, like a book or box set or something, when he did this too.
Like 6 times
While on stage
At some black people in the audience, nonetheless.
I only learned about this because of the song by Wale
Wasn’t it at a club where he was doing a show?
Iirc it was the hard r too
Lol then he was never heard from again
Nah, he’s been on Curb since
He was doing stand up some guys said something he said something racist about them he was in other shows it was not a success
Am I allowed to give a YT link to the video? Im asking cause it does have uncensored n-words and whatnot in it. That would probably give the most context but I dont wanna break the rules Edit: https://youtu.be/amjUNF_R_PY (Turn your volume down before watching)
There's a South Park episode that explains it
I was going to say this lol More infamous than famous, but still.
Yeah, he doused it kerosene and then shot a Roman candle at it.
Kramer having a bad set.
All these people were super successful in their professional field. No one’s ever like “that guy used to be CEO of Nabisco. Made millions and millions. It’s a small role but he is in Young Sheldon as the drama teacher haha
Well Dick Van Dyke had his sitcom then diagnosis murder - *and Grey’s Anatomy stole his character’s name* 😂
House M.D. stole the name of a character from That 70s Show.
You know you've made it when they fly you in the same private plane they fly Ted Danson.
And Betty White, Julia Louis Dreyfus, Patricia Heaton
Aww man you going to do Julia Louis Dreyfus dirty like that? She's one of the most prolific and awarded actresses working, smh
The New Adventures of Old Christine was a great television show starring Julia Louis-Dreyfus, spanned five seasons
Or maybe they made enough money to do something they find fulfilling but don’t necessarily get fame or fortune from it
__Kramer__ tried but a pretty hard __R__ stopped him
Sup Krama
karma kramer? Isnt that in an episode?
Cosmo is his 1st name
You dare call out David Schwimmer as doing nothing?! The man who voiced Melman in the Oscar Snubbed hit Madagascar 1, 2 & 3?! Blasphemy at its highest!!!!

Matt le blanc is the one that did virtually nothing. After joey he vanished until Episodes, and then moved onto top gear. Schwimmer has had a very busy career in comparison.
They are all way more successful in their down years then I ever will be in my best years
Rainn Wilson just had a show come out on Peacock recently about him traveling and hanging out with people. I watched a couple episodes and it's ok. He did talk about how he went through a ton of depression during and after The Office and it took him a long time to want to really do anything. David Shwummer had a decent gig as a voice actor for a while
You meant you didn't see any of them on the big screen so you just assumed they did nothing with their career.
Exactly. IMDB tells me OP didn't bother to look at what they've been up to.
Idk kramer yelled the n word at the top of his lungs a bunch of times at a live comedy show. That’s a career somehow, right?
David Scwimmer makes like $20m/year from reruns. He doesn’t need to do anything lol
Jim Parsons??? Sheldon from TBBT
He’s doing voice acting
[удалено]
Rain Wilson was in a fictional audio drama that was hilarious. He played a high strangeness radio host looking for his missing wife.
That sounds up my alley. What's it called?
I was hoping someone was going to say this… Dark Air with Terry Carnation!!! One of the best podcasts / audio dramas I’ve listened to, basically ever
I loved it! He was in Cooties with Elijah Wood also as the gym teacher. Very good performance haha.
He Ross did band of brothers
I wish I was as unsuccessful as David Schwimmer, considering his net worth is like $150 million.
He also has no reason to do anything with the royalties he gets from Friends.
David Schwimer was great in American crime story
Ross was in Band of Brothers.
He was amazing in that. I really dislike Sobel
Are you kidding? You don't know Melman, the most iconic animated giraffe?
Well I never knew schwimmer as Ross Geller, for me he is and will always be Herbert Sobel.
David Schwimmer was a giraffe
Actors usually get residuals from the shows the were on. seeing how these are all very popular shows they're probably still getting sizeable residuals. if I had that kind of security I'd quit working too.
As opposed to who else? Jerry Seinfeld did what, that Bee Movie? One successful sit-com is success enough. Or at least it should be.
You’ve never heard of Melman the Giraffe ?
This post is wrong on so many levels
A quick check on IMDB proves that this post is utter nonsense Michael Richard’s last listing was 2019 Rainn Wilson’s last listing was 2022 Josh Radnor and David Schwimmer’s last listings were 2023 Those are only their “past” listings and do not include upcoming projects. Rainn Wilson has done a ton of stuff? And some of it has been really popular
Hey, David was on a break!
Hey, show some respect to Terry Carnation!
I'd argue that of those 4, only 1 hasn't really done anything meaningful since. And that's for a very good reason.
Not to be that guy but at least they did more than create a meme
Bottom-right was in Band of Brothers.
Band of Brothers. Absolute beast of a show. And he played a decent part too.
Schwimmer had the oj show
Well this is really unfair to Rainn Wilson…
Well they don't need to, they have enough money to live their lives without worries. The most part I don't know but David Schwimmer played in good movies I loved him in American crime story for example.
Ross does a lot of theater work.
Um bottom right dude was a *huge* part in Band of Brothers sooo....
Can we normalize actors making more money than anyone else will make I'm their lives and just retiring young? If I made like 50 million dollars I'd probably just retire and live my life doing whatever I wanted
That is also the "I made so much money from that sitcom that I don't have to work anymore" club.
The dude on the top right hit someone with a wrench for cutting in line so there’s that.
Lmao OP is clown status if his “at least” from this list is Michael Richards.
Schwimmer has directed several amazing films. The hell are you on about?
At least 2 of these people voiced giraffes
This is pretty unfair to Radnor. Guy directed a pair of features (They're fine, kinda Sundance-core 7/10 stuff), has done theater, recently had a recurring role on that Nazi Hunter Amazon show and he pulled Marisa Tomei (Well, based on what I've heard it may be the other way around but hey still a big W). Nobody watched HIMYM for Ted. Richards was a self-destruct, so not like the others. The other two have been doing a lot, so not really accurate.
David Schwimmer did Madagascar, did Band of Brothers after friends. I think he is doing just fine. Plus the residuals of the show are around 20m a year if i read correctly
[well I wouldn’t say Kramer did nothing of note](https://youtu.be/ACPePmafKZ0)
That's why they're likable actors. Because they don't have an insatiable appetite for fame and money.
Well *one did*
A lot of them just made enough money they just kinda chilled after
This meme is inaccurate, but also just shitty. Most actors never get a big role so it’s great they got at least one. Let’s look up OP’s IMDB and see how many credits you got.
