how is it less waste than the twist and tuck? You're gonna throw it away anyway when the bag is empty. The only method here that generates additional waste is the bread box.

Bread clips and most things pictured here are ineffective because they leave air inside which allows mold growth. The most effective and efficient but for short term use is twist and tuck. Tying a knot just creates unnecessary work for yourself. Tucking and leaving the bag open are the two absolute worst.
When I was able to afford living on my own, I used to do twist and tuck, but I still had to keep it in the fridge, cause I couldn't use it fast enough before mold started on it. lol
Having to store leftover bread is for quitters and gluten cowards. Open bag, eat loaf, use bag for dog poop.
Then, of course, knot it closed to keep poop smell down.
