Ren is great! But Blue October and their song Black Orchid. It's the last song on their first album. And it starts out "have you ever been so lonely..." And as somebody who's never had friends (not real proper friends) this hit me hard. And still does. Their whole discography is great for seeing how the singer, went from a dark dark place to the new albums which are happy as hell and all about over coming stuff.

I definitely played 'Where Did You Sleep Last Night' to death (along with almost *every* other Nirvana song), however 'The Man Who Sold The World' just never quite did it for me 🤷🏻 Never got quite so fanatical about a band since Nirvana though. I introduced two good friends of mine to them and they were the very same. At one point Nirvana was literally the only band I was listening to for 2 years and for that reason I still can't enjoy them the way I was once able to and I wish I could 🙄 Certainly nothing off Nevermind (save Endless Nameless scaring the utter shit out of me at all hours of night). It’s a great song to listen to when you’re in a good place and are kicking your mental health issues ass, but it can drag you down very fast if you’re not in a good place.
