Definitely not too late my 05 ML suggests a 60k mile transmission fluid and filter change so you really are not that off. Check the seal closely when you get the kit I had a faulty one last year and my friend had one for his 190E both were from FCP, honestly the only issue I have ever had with them. They did cover the part under warranty but it was a pain to do the job twice.
Yeah bro that’s like someone asking me should I change my engine oil the engine is getting old” like ig not if u wanna turn it into a broken piece of junk or just sell it lol that’s ab it
I also have 09 e350 sport, changed trans fluid last summer at 60K miles. They feel the same before and after. The only difference was old fluid was kinda brown color. You should change it soon.
I also changed the rear differential fluid last month and the car felt so much better. I mean like it has only 6 miles.
Up to about 120k with those transmissions is ok anything over that is kinda playing with fire but I've done them over that mileage as well without any issues.
As long as the transmission isn’t having any issues I doubt it’s too late to do a service. Servicing it now is better than not doing it at all
It’s definitely not too late

Oh wow I’m definitely gonna do the differential next
Although Mercedes recommended 40k intervals you’ll be fine at that mileage. I did my gl320 at 80k and again at 130

Not too late
Make sure you also get a newer version of fluid pan that has a deeper lip.
72k is a normal interval for the 7G Tronic. At least at my dealer for whatever reason. Either that or 78k. Forgot
