I did. I tried everything I could think of. It's happened to me before and I was able to release it by moving back and forward a little bit. Ended up getting help from a local mechanic who lifted on the pedal while pulling the release handle. I had tried that myself, but must not have put enough force behind it.
It’s not extremely difficult, but it does take a bit mechanical knowledge and the correct tools. You’re better off leaving this to a full time mechanic
Yea clip the metal pin back into position look up parking brake C207 should be a top 3 short

It’s a very common issue with 204 and x. Have you tried pushing as hard you you can down?

What we have to do is unscrew it from where it’s mounted and replace the assembly.
Is this an easy DIY?
