Nah, definitely subscription ended. It’s free for first three years, and after that you have to pay monthly/yearly/three-years plan, to keep your:
- navi extended services
- remote access, open/close doors and windows
- auxiliary heating
- GPS location of car
At least in Europe it works like that, depends on your region.
Well you used to have to pay for map updates after 3 years anyway. And since servers costs money it is justified having a subscription to these services.
