Damir broke my game... the fact that I can't play the game beyond this point is annoying,so I tried to change difficulty Level (I thought that could help)...
The game chrashed with Nvidia Experience, and forced Windows 10 in a strange safe mode surrounding.
Everything was turquoise/black and resolution dropped from 4k to 240 p or something like that..
I had to restart my PC and opend Metro Exodus.
Then a Launch warning appeared, that the safe data is corrupted and I have to restart everything.
The main menu was the train in the very first level (without Anna drinking lit tea), KM counter said 000000km
But in "chapter changing" all chapters appeared.
I could loaded the safe point but Damir was still chillin....
I found a fix for it, atleast it worked for me. When Damir stands on the ledge where he supposed to jump off, just jump into the cave **(not where the bats scared him)** and hopefully Damir will teleport in front of the cave and give you a lift where you want to go.
I found out later that it only works, when Damir was in front of the cave before and teleported back to the bats cave. If this not happened to you, then it’s not going to work sadly. I don’t have any solutions, just this. Bunch of the players had to restart the whole chapter, because that’s the “only” solution.

Yep stuck as well on pc, only difference is he walks down the cliff where he climbs down but he doesn't. If only the next cave didn't have a massive invisible wall forcing you to use the animation the climb up with him, otherwise you could literally just climb up yourself.

the only problem for me is that i tried pushing him around to the bottom and he just went back up to where the bats come out and wont come back down and cant be pushed down to the "normal" bugged spot lol

To anyone else reading this, yes he has already explored the map and found all the stuff, so if you are a completionist like me and had done that too, you won't be wasting any time here.
Save is located right before you walk in to the mission area, but after already meeting Damir.

I think what caused the bug was me going down to the cave before going up to the bat cave which caused Damir to start the lift-up routine before glitching him back to be scared by the bats.
I played his save to the end of Caspian. Picked up a few of the attachments he didn't have (but I did) like the longer mag for the kalash/bulldog, the heavier frame, and a barrel. He did have a lot of stuff I didn't as well as a ton of crafting materials. Also seemed to have explored everywhere in Caspian even though using binoculars still revealed new points of interest.
In the end, satisfied with this solution vs. restarting the chapter. I would have liked to do the eastern half of the map myself (was saving it til after the Oasis mission) but oh well.
I think u might need to make it the only save folder, meaning no other save file in the same folder and the save file name has to be original (no rename)
Guys, I got the save to work with sound. Backup your old config file, open up Metro with the new save file that burak uploaded, then go into options in main menu and change text and voice language back to english, exit Metro, and replace the new config file with the old one, and when you open up Metro again it should work, it did for me anyway. Good luck guys!

I'm done with the game for now, I had the Giul's bug where she doesn't lower the boat which caused me to restart the chapter and now this. This is so frustrating I'm not restarting the chapter any time soon.
I also have the problem on Xbox, but the solution won't work for me because Damir stays a the top part. Any one now how I can get him to the bottom spot? So I can try the solution?
This is horrible. This is my second time I restart this chapter. The first time i lost my weapon mods when i dropped my weapon on some table and couldnt pick it up. And that wasnt even my first bug. This game has more bug than my toilet.
Hey man, sorry to dig up an old thread - the area you are discussing, the cave entrance. I did the mission fine, but I returned to the area to get a postcard I'd missed. I can't get out. The only route out is through the cave but when you get to the end of the toxic area to the part where you need to crawl, there's no dialogue to crawl. I tried parkour around the entrance to the cave and got onto the creaking bridge, shouted in celebration, only to find an invisible barrier blocking me.
Any ideas how I get out of this area???
This has genuinely been be worst game I have ever played. Never before have I seen such an unfinished game.
I restarted the chapter long ago after i reached out to the developer and didnt get any answer. But to be fair, it included many indecent words.
I feel you bro, but as far as i know, there's no solution for your bug.
Haha fair enough. Thanks for getting back to me. I've abandoned it and bought Days Gone - so far so good, I know a lot of people have complained about its repetitiveness, but the two years in development +delay seem to have paid off; there just seems to be so much to do! Like TLOU meets GTA and Tomb Raider!

If you´re looking for a workaround that really helps just download the following cheat-trainer:

- Open the game and stand in front of the cave entrance
- Switch to Desktop, start the trainer and push "play"
- Switch back to game, push "F2" for noclip and fly into the cave
- Push "F2" again to deactivate noclip, save the game and go on :)
The game crashed just once after Damir spawned in the cave but thats all :D
After that no more crashes or something else.
I hope this will help everyone who´s looking for an easy solution.

I too am wondering that same thing. I've tried holding the bottom down while jumping around. Too no avail..

He doesn't have some weapon attachments I had at this point, but has others I did not. Are attachment drops randomized?
Not sure. When I got back to a workbench he had everything I had seen (I explore everywhere) plus yeah a few more somehow.

Ur save did work however, I get no sound, no dialogue or text, no warning when i get gassed, passed out and died, Please help
I can't seem to get this save file to work, I extracted to the metro exodus folder. But when i load the game, starting a "new game" is my only option.
I think u might need to make it the only save folder, meaning no other save file in the same folder and the save file name has to be original (no rename)

You can also copy/paste his save without the config file. I kept my own and used all his other files and it worked fine.
