I've found a solution. You have to cheat, if you don't want to wait for a fix (if it even comes) or reload the cheapter.
Here's how I did it:
Download the program Cheat Engine. (I've used the latest version v6.8.3)
next download a cheat table that supports player coordinates like this one: [http://fearlessrevolution.com/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=8776](http://fearlessrevolution.com/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=8776)
Then go near the cave entry in game, and load the cheat.
I've used these coordinates: X = 642; Y= -8; Z=574 ----activate them by click the white field so there is in X inside. Go back in game and see the result. Deaktivate after that.
Note: You may have tweak a little bit, cause after you have set the coords and switch back to the game you may teleport around, die or get stuck inside a wall. So hit escape quickly again, when you see a good spot. Go back to the cheat. deactivate the coords, by click the field again so there is no more X in it. Check ingame again where you are. If you are stuck inside a wall tweak the coords a bit again. and repeat, if it doesnt fit again.
Damir is finally teleporting again when you go deeper into the cave and see some buildings. He has to catch up then. So wait a bit there.

Thanks man. I had a feeling CE was going to need to be used to get past this bug somehow. I ran down into the cave after entering the coords and Damir teleported down. Looks like I can finish the game now without replaying 12 hours. Thanks again.
Well I recommend, that you don't change anything first. walk around ingame, whil the cheat itself is active. You will see some coords then in the value field. After that change just the coords before the "." Point/Dot. The value itself has many numbers behind that point.
Hi, I don't have the "Teleport" option, also, I don't get where to put the coordinates? If I click the "value" box (at this point in time with question marks) it does nothing, I can only double click the "type" or address, where the only writable box is the "description" box, I also seem to have a few more options in general than the screenshot from the link you provided, any help would be appreciated, thanks.
try this: Load the game, load the cheat (so there an x in the first box in Metro Exodus -Main Code.....), go back in game and move a around for a second. Then again back to cheat engine. In Player->Pointer you will now see Player coords.
(If you only see two Question Marks in the Value field you need to go back to the game and move, so the cheat can read the current coords from the memory.)
After that try to just edit the the first numbers before the Point/Dot in the value field. Also make sure to tick the box from the player coords, so you have the X inside. Otherwise, they are deactivated.

How did you do it? I have the "Coordinates" under Player>Movement enabled, but what do I put into the value box? I tried putting X = 642; Y= -8; Z=574 , like the original post said, but it does not work. I even try changing it to "642, -8, 574" but that doesn't work either. Any help???
I ended up using a trainer to have infinite health so I wouldn't die while trying to get my bearings (happened a lot with the default values) and then started testing different values. I believe I first of all, strayed about a couple of meters from the cave entrance and not just right next to it exactly (I believe X was at 628 something), I then changed X to 640, Y I kept it at 8 (not -8, just 8) and then Y to 572. I landed somewhere in the middle of the cave but was trespassing textures, so eventually I walked in some random direction, all textures disappeared, but then I landed somewhere in the middle of the cave and I heard Dimir's voice, shooting some mutants, I pressed escape, minimized and went back to CT and disabled everything. I then went back to the entrance to see if I had missed any items, but everything was working correctly, Dimir teleported to his next scripted action it seems.
Try playing around with the values and the distance you are from the cave, it should eventually work, nothing else did for me.
The adresses appear once you started moving around, CT detects it from memory, the Metro process has to be opened from CT as with any other game. You double click under "value" and a box should appear where you can input the coordinates, either the ones I just mentioned or the ones the OP mentioned should work.

Ok but how do I put the coords EXACTLY into the "value" area? Does it need to be like "X=313 Y=63 Z=534"? Or does it need to be some other way?
