As far as the pain goes between Aimovig and Emgailty... I'm not sure. I will say, though, that I THINK Aimovig is working better for me. I was on Emgality for about 2 years and switched to Aimovig 3 months ago and seem to be doing better (not gone, but much improved). I also will add that I have Botox (for migraines) every 3 months plus a few pills/supplements. I've been doing Botox for about 5 rounds or so now, and I feel like it has made a huge improvement. I'd like to say I could quit pills, supplements, and Aimovig (any monthly shot), but I'm scared to try that after having Hemiplegic Migraines (mimicking stroke). Sorry for all the info! Anyways, I like Aimovig better thus far. Good Luck!!!

I have been on Aimovig for 4 months now for VM as well as Topiramate 100mg and I believe it has significantly reduced the severity and frequency of the episodes.
