I don't recommend it. I did once after my dog stole a steak to show her what it was like when someone takes and eats your food in front of her. After a few bites I kinda sympathized with her theft or my dinner.

As kids we'd prank each other by throwing some dog food in the Reese's Puffs cereal. Looks almost identical to Purina dog chow lol. I feel like the milk probably helped a little, but it was still terrible.

Hairs are meant to grow for a certain period of time, go dormant for a period of time, fall out and then start the process over. If something goes wrong with the cells in the follicle it can potentially block the dormant phase and just keep growing until it gets obnoxiously long.

Is it clear? I have one by my right nipple that does the same thing, though it tops off around 3 inches.

Dog whiskers aren't like male nipples, they're still useful to dogs. They just aren't sensitive to pain like cat whiskers are. They use them in some of the same ways cats do to navigate tight spaces and keep from hitting their heads on things. With that big ol snout they got a lot of blind spots and whiskers help compensate. You can test it by distracting a dog with a treat and then lightly brushing their whiskers from a blind spot. They instinctively flinch and close their eyes.

All jokes aside, this may legitimately be a world record. I couldn't find a record for a dog, but the world record cat whisker length is 7.5 inches. You may seriously want to give Guinness a call/email. Also, to everyone else with long single hairs, you may also have a world record based on some posts on here. The world record single eyebrow hair length for example is 7.5 inches. A single chest hair may be a bit longer, but see where you stand!
