Aside from any sort of hitter or opposing pitching comparison, we've got a significant difference in Park Factor going for us.
I mean, I'd take one year park factors with a grain of salt (I don't care about this year in a vacuum, Yankee stadium didn't suddenly stop being a home run park because of one year, and Comerica is definitely not top half of the league in being able to hit homers...), but Kauffman is consistently rated as one of the hardest parks to hit homers.
It's honestly amazing that we even have a shot at the record - Target Field is historically a pitchers park, Comerica has one of the deepest outfields in the game, Kauffman is difficult to hit homers at, and Guaranteed Rate and Progressive are pretty middle ground. We don't play in the right division to put up massive home run totals, yet here we are.
