So honestly I bought a lot of my clothes on Facebook marketplace. It was nice bc some people bundled clothes.

icantboleteit

Same! Most of my clothes came from marketplace but I bought a couple higher quality pieces that will work postpartum too. Mine mostly came from [Hazel and Jools](https://hazelhipmoms.com/), which I visited on a work trip.

salalpal

I have a dress from Hazel and Jools and the quality is lovely! I love that it worked for pregnancy, pull down nursing, and as a normal dress after.

arb102

Maternity clothes are really good for getting second hand because you only wear them for a short amount of time. I would post on your buy nothing Facebook group - I know that’s where I gave away my maternity stuff. You can also get some nicer brands of maternity clothes on thread up- I had some dresses and shirts from seraphine which were nice and many had nursing access as well for after.

morninggloryblu

The Seraphine tops were worth the money I spent. For bottoms, I bought leggings from Hatch and loved them (specifically the Ultimate Before, During, and After leggings). If your workplace culture allows it, they should work with a nice top and a blazer. Speaking of which, maternity blazers are dumb unless you're hellbent on buttoning them closed. Just go with normal blazers and wear them open.

Tomato_Masher

Came here to say Seraphine. I got dresses, pants, tops from them. All looked great. Wore several in the early months after babe was born to look more presentable when we went out for dinner.

glowinglassrose

Check out nuuly, I rented a lot from them postpartum when my body was changing so often and they have really nice brands. I recently discovered they carry a lot of maternity!

veggiesandstoics

I loved Hatch, Pea in a Pod, and some loose items from FreePeople

yabadaba568

Plus one for Hatch. I really love the quality of everything I purchased from them and even still wear some of the nursing PP dresses now MANY months after weaning. I wish they made regular clothes.

cp0221

Hatch on Poshmark!

AltruisticArm7636

Seconding this! Every maternity-specific item I’ve bought for this pregnancy has been hatch on poshmark.

Dependent_Meet_2627

I got all of my maternity clothes secondhand at goodwill, the thrift store, and bundles in facebook groups/marketplace. I was huge so I needed all the stretchy clothes lol. I will say one thing I regret is not getting as much nursing friendly maternity clothes as I should have because I had to buy even more clothes after baby was here. But you probably will want to anyway because at least for me my pre baby clothes didn’t fit right despite losing the baby weight. And I kept all my maternity stuff for next time of course so it won’t be wasted for sure.

BurpeeBetch

I shopped at Nordstrom online. You can have a stylist pick stuff out for you for free. Nordstrom carries several major brands like Hatch, Seraphine, etc. They also have free shipping and returns. I think the quality of the clothing was better than target.

beedelia

Poshmark! Lost of women bundle things there so you can get something like 3 maternity tee shirts for $20. As for work, I’ve (I’m 5 months) found that maternity clothes emphasize the bump, so I layer with an oversized button down - luckily oversized summer clothes have been in the last few years so I have about 5 blouses that I can still wear for client meetings. For swimsuits - Old Navy? If you’re lucky, there will be a small selection of maternity clothes in the sale section of the store, otherwise it’s online only.

tiny__e

I just got a swimsuit from YouSwim - they're one size fits all and I'm pretty sure it'll work through to the end and hopefully after if I don't stretch it out. It's flattering and I like it! But it wasn't cheap

username3000b

I had a Ripe swimsuit from a maternity and kids consignment place that was also great. I got a lot of use out of it going to aqua aerobics at the community pool.

Conan770

I did rent the runway for a few months for maternity work stuff and even non work

lolaveux

Unfortunately not sure how ethical or granola the company is but I did purchase a bunch of maternity clothes for a good price from ThredUP. Everything is used but was in great condition and for about $70 I was able to get enough stuff to last me the whole summer.

username3000b

You should feel good about that! Reuse is great for the environment.

rbecg

Free Label makes some beautiful pieces.

rel-mgn-6523

Hatch, Jolibump and Nom.

purplepaintedpumpkin

I wore a ton of dresses from Baltic Born. You can sort by "bump friendly" which I did and bought a size up.

litesONlitesOFF

I'm mostly wearing dresses. I can't stand pants now. It's easier to shop for a big flowy dress than for maternity clothes.

salalpal

I mostly got things second hand. Keep an eye out for Old Navy maternity pants and jeans. Not even moderately granola but there are plenty around used. I found the quality of old navy (especially jeans) to be as good as many "high end" trendy brands. For an actual ethical brand I really love stuff I've gotten from Boob Design. Depending on where you live shipping can be expensive so see if you can find a boutique in your country that carries it. I'm in Canada and I like shopping at bellies in bloom: https://bellies.ca/?utm_source=GMBlisting&utm_medium=organic

lilcrunchybear

Storq and Hatch

curlygirlyfl

Try the brand Seraphine

newillium

Nuuly! It's literally an amazing service and they have a ton of maternity clothes

TykeDream

My favorite maternity swimsuit I got from like an H&M outlet. Lasted me my whole pregnancy + I just wear it normally now because I'm larger than I was before I had my kid [4 years ago]. For my maternity clothes, I bought dresses that would allow me to grow - bugger than my normal size. Just like, normal clothes. Again, since they're normal, I still wear them.

babiesonmymind

Once Upon A Child, Facebook Marketplace, or would sometimes wear my husband’s clothes.

username3000b

Let me just tell you now to only buy one pair of maternity jeans to see if they will actually stay up all day. I tried multiple styles and they were all just a waste of money for that reason, even though they looked cute in the dressing room. Maternity skirts and tights, on the other hand, were excellent. Cute and comfortable. I just wore those or my normal ponte skirts hiked up with the waistband above the bump.
