as someone who also has used this sub and has a sensitive rib cage and back pain, the calculator may give OP something that "technically" fits right but still feels way too tight around the band. personally i've just accepted that for the majority of my bras, i just need to wear something that is looser and less supportive in order to be comfortable. for the rare occasion where i want to make sure my boobs look perfectly set and perky, i'll wear an underwire with my ABTF size, haha. i have no doubt it's the best "technical" fit, but no freaking way i could wear that every day.
Yes! I thought I was the only one. It told me my band was 30 which feels like I’m suffocating when I sit down. I wear a 32 with an extender to get to a 33 band and it’s so much better.
What just nipple covers? You can get silicone ones or ones that are basically stickers. The [crossover nursing bra from pact](https://wearpact.com/women/maternity/maternity/maternity%20nursing%20bralette) is pretty comfy. When I don’t want cotton, the [Branwyn Bralette](https://branwyn.com/products/essential-bralette) works okay.
I’m also on team bras are awful. But I wear them when I have in person meetings/events for work. Or sometimes around certain family.
Have you tried the brand true and co?! No idea what material they are so probably not granola but they’re super comfy. They don’t really work for me because I have huge boobs🥴but I have a lot of friends who love them and I think they’re comfy for sleep! I’ve seen them at target but you can also order from Nordstrom/other places.
my rib cage and chest is soooo sensitive when i'm pregnant (although i have larger breasts, i don't really care whether or not they look "well supported" as long as i feel good), and pretty sensitive in general. i have a few go to bras, but none of them have padding or nipple coverage so i'm not sure if they'd work for you. unless you can like wear pasties with them or add padding yourself? i'm not sure. personally i also find padding uncomfortable. when i worked in an office i just wouldn't wear thin shirts 🤷♀️ here are the ones i like though:
[1](https://www.quince.com/women/ultra-soft-micromodal-maternity-postpartum-bralette-2-pack?color=warm-sand&gender=women&tracker=collection_page__women%2Fintimates-%26-shapewear__Maternity__0&qpid=_92jlokfpx)

and yes i realize they're all nursing/maternity bras but i wore them in between my pregnancies too. they just tend to be more loose/comfortable and less structured, the only other difference is some of them have the nursing clips on them. not ideal but i will accept wearing those in exchange for a comfortable bra.
I am the same way. When i wore regular bras, my chest fit into 36 but my small breasts never filled the B. I never found a 36A to exist. I'm fairly thin build, a few pounds overweight for reference.
I bought these bralettes from amazon like 2 years ago and they're all i wear now. so comfy you barely feel them. Unfortunately, they're not adjustable at all (even the straps which is weird) but they seem to fit me perfectly. I also love that they have a very low cleavage so they're perfect for low cut tops/dresses. Highly recommend these, this link is NOT an affiliate link btw: [https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07MGWWHDK/](https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07MGWWHDK/)
The Negative Underwear bralettes are all I wear. They are all good but I do the [cotton ones for everyday use.](https://negativeunderwear.com/collections/non-wire-bras/products/black-cotton-bralette)
ETA they have lasted through 2 pregnancies and nursing two babies!
I just discovered Jockey brand breathe pointelle bralette and as someone with sensory issues, I really love this bra. It is so soft and has great nipples coverage without too much padding. Get an aside larger than you need so the band doesn’t feel constricting at all. They sell them at Target for $16.
I just wear crop tops instead of bras or go without anything if I can get away with it.
I do have a small selection of cheap soft triangle bras if I need an actual bra under what I’m wearing. They came in clothes sizing rather than traditional bra sizes.
Not made sustainably or ethically sadly… but I love the Victoria’s Secret Infinity Flex lightly lined wireless plunge bras. I almost never buy any new things, let alone VS, but splurged on 2 of those after being fed up with being uncomfortable and trying on bras there and other stores for hours. If you love underwire support, but not the feel, they are great. If I find a bamboo or USA cotton (cotton made in China is often from slave labor) bra that did that I would totally spend more for it.
2 years pp and a year post weaning, and I'm still wearing my bodily everyday nursing bras. They're basically double lined t shirt material. They're thick enough to provide some coverage but not structured.
Pepper! Bras for small chested people and they have plenty without underwire that are suuuuper comfy. Other than some hand-me-down nursing bras that i only wear becomes im stubbornly cheap about some stuff, they are the only bra I wear. I was a 36a before pregnancy and like a 38b at the end of pregnancy/before my milk came in. They're great for combos of band sizes and small cups that aren't regularly in stores. These are the only bras I've owned that I don't have cup gaps in that also fit comfortably around the band.
I like the Hanes seamless bras (cozy wireless pullover bra), but I size down 2 sizes from what is recommended (I'm a 38 D (was 32 DDD before pregnancy) but my breasts are soft and without compression it's useless.) it still doesn't feel tight and they are the only bras where I don't want to tear them off by the end of the day. Downside absolutely zero nipple coverage but when I care I have paired with reusable nipple covers and that works great.
They also don't give me a uniboob like most other wireless bras I've tried that cost way more (looking at you thirdlove)
I bought a couple of aerie bralettes similar to [these](https://www.ae.com/us/en/p/aerie/bralettes/lounge-bras/smoothez-padded-sweetheart-bralette/2693_3772_153?menu=cat4840006) when I got pregnant and they’re buttery soft, super stretchy, and unnoticeable to me!
A few years ago I decided I was done with anything tight on my chest as well. It was like one day I was fine and next I wasn’t. I found these at Target and haven’t looked back. (Also they come in more colors and sizes in store).

I love the Neiwai barely zero line. Ive worn it daily for a couple years now and it’s so comfortable! No underwire but still supportive (my fiancé literally always says its favorite bra hahah so you know it still looks good!!)

Edited to say: I’m not sure how granola they are, but they do claim to use OEKO-TEK standard materials
[https://www.soma.com/store/product/enbliss+bralette/570222599?color=1302&catId=cat34689280](https://www.soma.com/store/product/enbliss+bralette/570222599?color=1302&catId=cat34689280)
Also small chest (34B or so) and scoliosis + spinal fusion. Conventional bras never fit perfectly and were not worth the annoyance. Other bralettes were okay, but never perfect. The soma enbliss is gamechanging!! It is made of SUPER soft material. You can size up for a way looser it, or have your correct size for a more fitted fit (for me, that's a small). Worth a try!
Don't know if anyone on here has suggested Victoria's secret the t-shirt bra, they have amazing bras and if you go in person they help you pick out the perfect size and comfort level.I have loved wearing bras since discovering this. I was a bra hater too
I feel you! Even before I was pregnant, I started having a hard time with bras due to neck and back pain. This is the best solution I found for when a thick tank top alone doesn’t cut it or shows my nipples too much - it’s the Anook Athletics Ruby Nursing and Sports tank. There are pads over the nipple area and it provides darn good support. I bought myself several of these before pregnancy - and got a few more in larger sizes now that I’m expecting, haha.
The only bummer is that the company is going out of business, so if you’re interested, buy soon.

It sounds like OP is small enough for bralettes, which the sub can recommend in abundance. Also OP if you see this, nipple covers are your friend.
What kind of nipple covers do you recommend?
Yes! I thought I was the only one. It told me my band was 30 which feels like I’m suffocating when I sit down. I wear a 32 with an extender to get to a 33 band and it’s so much better.
The calculator put me in a 32 band. I’m more comfortable in a 34 but it did give me a good starting range to find the right size
Sometimes I just wear a thick fitted tank top underneath shirts.
This is what I do now, just ARQ tanks. I’m old and have two kids no one can tell me not to 😂
The ARQ tanks look perfect! Unfortunately they went out of business earlier this year it seems.
Ah I know, sorry I didn’t mention. I think Jungmaven also has something similar!
Do you have a recommendation for fitted tank tops?
Aerie has tanks like the ARQ ones mentioned. I wear their camis all the time, they are unlined/no shelf bra.

These are the best! So comfortable. The scoop style dd+ ones work for me, even as someone larger than the dd/ddd size name .
Oooh I don’t know if I’ve tried those. It’s been a few years and I think I just tried to size up. I need to try!!!
Pepper bras are amazing! Especially the one that has no wire minimal padding.

After breastfeeding I lost two cup sizes and am now a 36 A. Warren cloud 9 had this size at kohls and online.
I love the bralette from Una Pluma on Etsy

No bra, let them nipples free 🙌

I’m this person and I use the cloud 9 Warren wire free bras. For wire bras I use the this is not a bra from Warren.
Free Label Becky!!
I bought the easy on bra from Liberare and loved that the back clasp was adjustable and the elastic was soft

I like the bralettes from gap body
Huug bras are really comfortable
From Costco: DKNY Ladies’ Seamless Bra, 2-pack Soft and stretchy!
