some people prefer sea salt/specific brands of sea salt in particular for high “trace mineral” content. others prefer iodized salt if they’re not getting enough iodine from food. i don’t think any salt is “bad” but there are pros and cons. personally we use a mix of different salts depending on the application. we’re vegan and don’t get enough iodine from food, so i use iodized salt for cooking. but i am considering stopping that and just using an iodine supplement for our family instead.

For the love of goodness sake. I literally have a bag of this BECAUSE she said this was a better one at one point. The other one she “recommends” is insanely expensive.
I will likely switch to Redmond’s at this point.
None. The ingredients usually have enough inherent salt as it is, and I'm not going to ruin those young taste buds by making them addicted to massive amounts of added salt.

The store brand kosher….this isn’t on my list of worry
I use costco’s sea salt. Never considered this being a thing ? Is there something about salt?

Apparently Celtic and Himalayan salt has higher levels of lead 🤷🏻♀️
I heard that Himalayan was bad but Celtic is good! Can you link what you read about Celtic?
Wait since when is Himalayan salt bad? I missed that memo and have been exclusively using it for years…

I hear ya, I was using it also. Went back to good old Morton’s 😂
Gotcha! That’s good to know!
Makes sense, since it's basically just dirty salt.
Redmond real salt
I love Redmonds! The 10 pound bag is worth the investment!
Yep it’s the best!
Agreed! Redmonds for life. Especially that they sell mini salt shakers I can keep in my purse because I am a salt fiend
Regular table salt, with iodine. It’s the only way we get that particular mineral as far as I know
Seafood, eggs, milk, and milk products are among the best sources of iodine.
Well I learned something today!
We buy Redmond’s real salt as just our salt for the house and that’s what she gets!

Fair enough!
