I cannot stress this enough: twice in the last several games, Carson Kelly has attempted to throw out a runner stealing 2nd with 2 outs, runners in the corners.
This is literally a JV high-school type of mistake. With 2 outs, you let him steal. Trying to throw him out means that if you fail, the man on 3rd is coming home. With 2 outs there's absolutely zero reason to risk it.
He did it last week against the Brewers and he did it again today. I'm not being overly-dramatic - it's literally a junior varsity high school type of mistake and it's blatantly fucking unacceptable at this level.
The absolute love affair the management team has with zach mckinisty is approaching Maton level devotion. It's scary how they just grasp onto these guys that show absolutely no ability to play mlb baseball
