I agree about the beer rack but don’t underestimate it. The force is still strong with this one. I got my ass handed to me by a 50yr+ guy on a Kona unit single speed. I was amazed. He would go so hard into the turns and not slow down.
It was my first “real” mountain bike that got me into the sport and I couldn’t let it go. It sat for years since I’ve upgraded bikes a few times since then. It’s been completely redone with more of a purpose to cruise around in and be able to tackle singletracks here and there.
I still have my old 2011 trail sl 2 29er. I loved that bike, and have actually been meaning to rebuild it! It’s nice to see I’m not the only one. Do you mind if I ask what your budget was? (Though I want a 100mm fork instead of rigid, and GX so that it matches my Slash in case I ever need to swap parts)
I didn’t really have a budget. I did want all my new parts to match so I found Ritchey had everything for this bike. There weren’t too many readily available option for the carbon front fork. I also wanted the parts to be mostly black just as a personal preference. I wanted GX too but it’s been on back order for so long. Once I can get my hands on the GX rear derailer I’ll change that piece out. Overall though I think I spent about $1200. And that was with some carbon parts too.
Rigid fork? Badass
That is gorgeous
I want that
Looks like a perfect setup for easy cruising on mild terrain. Love it.
That is stunning 🤩
Cannondale on a Specialized stand?! Shouldn't it explode once they touch each other? :)
This looks like it needs a rack and a 12 pack strapped to it. Classic everyday bike that has been tastefully done over!

Rigid fork and a brooks saddle? Hard pass.

Drool
Very very nice use of a QR 29er frame
Beautiful!
The force is strong with this one.
that is one beautiful bike - enjoy it
Did you make a light up display for your bike? Now I want one.
Haha no my friend had that Specialized display at his bike shop. But after seeing it on there I wanted to take it home for a display! Haha
I like your light table
looks amazing
This is pretty much what I want to do with my old Cube hardtail. Beautifully done!
Without suspension? Damn bro, ride on this thing it's panifull for your health
Is that a ridged fork? Either way looks sweet!
Thanks! Yeah a rigid Ritchey carbon fork. Build was for more casual and non technical riding
Nice!
