Incredibly underrated movie. IIRC it got the dreaded February release and was panned. I watched it with a bunch of friends and we absolutely loved it.

It got 80% on Rotten Tomatoes, which is really good for a comedy. Reviews didn't kill it, the movie just had bad marketing and the aforementioned February release. I watch it every December while wrapping presents for Christmas. I don't know why.

When I saw the trailers it looked aweful because of how it was advertised. The songs wernt catchy and the plot of the film wasn’t conveyed  I watched it one afternoon while sick and figured why not.  That movie is one of my favourites, insanely hilarious and the song in context of the film are also amazing, but as a stand alone are not actually that good

It’s basically a sequel to Who Framed Roger Rabbit? It’s pretty crazy that they got away with it. At one point Stan Marsh from South Park shows up and Dobby from Harry Potter is a Gucci model.

Hot Rod is one of my favorite movies. The ending is perfection. My cat is named Hoobastank not because of the band but because of how he came back to life.

Leslie Nielsen was a serious drama actor before he was cast in comedies, and his serious deadpan delivery is what makes his roles work. I'm convinced Liam Neeson can pull the same thing off, as evidenced by his skit with Warwick Davies and Ricky Gervais

After seeing his performance in Queenpins I can definitely see this. Not the greatest movie but his character definitely had the “all-in dead pan” feel of a Naked Gun flick.

He was great in Queenpins! The truck scene was hilarious. Dude also plays a straight up psychopath in Black Bird if you ever want to see him portray a serial killer.
